Netflix just dropped this explosive action-thriller movie — and it's already crashed the top 10
Netflix has dropped the final movie in its French action-thriller trilogy 'Lost Bullet,' and let's just say, it's been a while since I've watched something this explosive.
The final instalment, 'Last Bullet,' is already gaining traction after only being on the streaming service for two days, landing in the No. 4 spot on the U.S. trending charts just ahead of another new thriller 'Sniper: The Last Stand.'
As much as I'd love to say that 'Last Bullet' could surprise us and knock 'Twilight' off its second spot, that seems like a tall order, but hey, stranger things have happened, right? Clearly, this French thriller is satisfying action fans enough to land it in the top 10. Having seen it myself, I can confirm it's definitely an intense ride.
So, if you're new to the trilogy or are wondering whether 'Last Bullet' is worth watching, here's everything to know about it now that it's streaming on Netflix.
Directed by Guillaume Pierret, 'Last Bullet' centers on Lino (Alban Lenoir), a former convict and ace mechanic turned vigilante, who seeks justice for the murder of his mentor, Charas.
Still reeling from this loss, Lino sets his sights on taking down Commander Resz (Gérard Lanvin) and his former partner Areski (Nicolas Duvauchelle), who betrayed him and left a trail of blood.
Teaming up with his trusted companion Julia (Stéfi Celma), Lino goes on a dangerous pursuit of Areski, who has returned to France and is now being hunted by Resz. As Lino and Julia close in on their target, they must navigate fragile alliances and intense confrontations in a race against time.

Being completely transparent here, I haven't seen the first two movies in the 'Lost Bullet' trilogy, but I decided to give the third one a go out of curiosity, just to see if it could stand on its own.
Surprisingly, it does a decent job of getting new viewers up to speed. The movie opens with a quick two-minute recap that lays out the essential backstory, which definitely helped me follow along without feeling totally lost.
But, that being said, I would recommend watching the first two, just so you're completely aware of who the characters are and why they're against one another.
In the first 'Lost Bullet,' Lino, a brilliant mechanic with a criminal past, is framed for murder and must use his skills to clear his name. The sequel, 'Lost Bullet 2,' picks up with Lino joining a special police unit to hunt down the corrupt officers responsible for his mentor's death.
Now, in 'Last Bullet,' Lino is out of prison and ready to finish what he started — this time chasing down Areski, the man who betrayed him, while new enemies close in.
It's a pretty easy plot to follow, and the recap is especially helpful for those who don't want to rewatch the earlier movies. Since I went into this blind, I didn't have any set expectations, and 'Last Bullet' ended up being something of a pleasant surprise.
I say 'something' because it didn't exactly leave me sweating or on edge. The action sequences are the highlight: cars explode midair, there's a high-speed chase on an open roadway, and the fight choreography stands out — especially one impressive one-shot sequence aboard a bus, featuring Lino, Areski, and Yuri (Quentin D'Hainaut) all going head-to-head.
'Last Bullet' is surprisingly entertaining, and the fiery car stunts make for a decent distraction from a plot that felt a little thin. Sure, I haven't seen the other movies, so maybe I'm missing context, but this one didn't quite convince me to binge the full trilogy.
The acting holds up for the most part, but the real draw is the relentless, well-crafted action (if you don't mind a bit of heavy CGI).
If you're seeking something action-packed and thrilling this weekend, 'Last Bullet' is worth a watch, and it also means you can binge the trilogy in one night.
'Last Bullet' doesn't have a Rotten Tomatoes score yet, but reviews have gone live. Simon Abrams from RogerEbert commented on the impressive action: 'The French understand the high value of watching various motor vehicles flip, crash, or otherwise wipe out.'
Meanwhile, Digital Mafia Talkies' Pramit Chatterjee was thoroughly impressed, stating it's 'the best action movie of the year yet. It is definitely up there with the greatest action movies of all time. Guillaume Pierret and all the talented artists who have worked with him have delivered an exceptional action trilogy.'
While I don't rank 'Last Bullet' as highly, I still believe it's a good time and will please action fans. You can stream it on Netflix now.

NEW YORK, June 8 (UPI) -- Gremlins: Secrets of the Mogwai, Monster High, That Girl Lay Lay and All That actress Gabrielle Nevaeh says starring in Broadway's Stranger Things prequel, The First Shadow, helped her check two things off her professional wish list. "This is the first time that I ever got truly emotional when I heard that I got a job because I just never dreamed that i could ever be a part of the Stranger Things universe or be on Broadway, and I somehow got the best of all worlds," Nevaeh told UPI in a recent phone interview. "I figured that maybe the Duffer Brothers would see my audition and consider me for something else, but certainly not Stranger Things: The First Shadow. The blockbuster play follows the teen versions of Joyce (Alison Jaye), Hopper (Burke Swanson) and Bob Newby (Juan Carlos) -- beloved adult characters from the Netflix series -- 30 years before the denizens of Hawkins, Ind., learn a shadowy government agency is trying to weaponize some kids' supernatural powers. In the stage drama -- which goes into Sunday's Tony Awards ceremony with five nominations -- Nevaeh plays a new Hawkins heroine, Patty Newby. Patty is the adopted sister of Bob, who will eventually grow up to be the kind-hearted Radio Shack worker (played by Sean Astin) who dies selflessly protecting Winona Ryder's version of Joyce from Demo-Dogs in Season 2 of the sci-fi series. "She's a warrior. Patty has had a really hard life," Nevaeh said. "She doesn't have anyone," she added. "Bob's at the age where he's obsessed with Joyce. Her dad doesn't like her. She doesn't have a mom. She doesn't have friends, so she is a loner. She's alone, but she is an optimist and she tries to make the best out of her situation." These are some of the reasons why she reaches out to standoffish Henry Creel (Tony-nominated Louis McCartney), a troubled outsider who arrives in town with his family. Viewers of the Netflix show are wary of Henry, however, knowing he will eventually kill his family and become the powerful villain Vecna (played in the series by Jamie Campbell Bower). He is only starting to understand his abilities in the play. "We get to see her nobility really shine through her relationship with Henry Creel who we know is Vecna and we get to see her heroism and the goodness that can be found in the darkest moments," Nevaeh said. "When I was developing Patty, [I thought], it's so easy for it to be the 'I can fix him story,' and it's also easy for Patty to take the route of, 'OK, I give up,' especially when she finds out that Henry truly is not normal." What was most interesting to Nevaeh to explore was how the teen misfits truly connect about the bad parts of their lives. "Patty sees Henry in a way that nobody else does and Henry sees Patty in a way that no one else does and they kind of need each other because there's no one else like them," Nevaeh said. "No one else can relate to their situation. No one else knows what it's like to be rejected by every piece of your life. Patty tries to give Henry a sense of belonging and Henry is the first person to ever see Patty and accept her for who she is." Both the stage production and TV show strive to authentically recreate the atmosphere of a small town in their respective eras. "The television series does an excellent job of showcasing things that were happening in the 1980s, whether it was politically, socially, economically," Nevaeh said. "We do a great job with Stranger Things: The First Shadow of touching on 1959," she added. "We don't necessarily go deep into it, but the undercurrent of the story is a little bi-racial girl falling in love with a little White boy in the 1950s and what does that look like? We can explore those tensions through a few of the other characters and really highlight the romance of the time that was 1959." In addition to enjoying nightly standing ovations, cast members of the play also find crowds of adoring fans outside the theater stage door waiting for them. "It's been absolutely incredible," Nevaeh said. "Lots of kids are coming now because it's summer time, but I have quite a few people who have come to see the show because they knew me from my time on Nickelodeon, which is a beautiful arc for me to have grown up being a child star and then doing something as important and profound as Stranger Things: The First Shadow and seeing those fans carry over. "It's just mind-blowing," she added. "I'm eternally grateful for the incredible response that we've been having." Louis Vuitton's Saint-Tropez Restaurant Is Back With a Michelin Star
The Arnaud Donckele & Maxime Frédéric atLouis Vuittonrestaurant has set up shop at the White 1921 Saint-Tropez for the third consecutive year. This time, however, the bougie dining locale is back with a newly earned Michelin star. Chef Arnaud Donckele and chef pâtissier Maxime Frédéric have unveiled a seasonal menu guided by three pillars: international food, disruptive dishes, and cultural meals. The chefs, both of whom are from Normandy, place a special emphasis on French and Mediterranean cuisine, but international flavors contribute to the menu's travel-by-plate mentality. Among the best-rated dishes are the Wagyu beef, which is served in a seasoned broth, and the grilled blue lobster, which is dressed with shiso-infused sauce. The Louis Vuitton restaurant features all sorts of nods to the French megabrand's core identity, including trunk-shaped side tables, Monogram-inspired tableware from the 'Art de la Table' collection, and even desserts modeled after the label's signature shapes and motifs. The alfresco dining area is filled with white and blue sofas, which are enclosed by lush greenery decorated with logomanic flowers. The Arnaud Donckele & Maxime Frédéric at Louis Vuitton restaurant is now open at Hotel White 1921 in Saint-Tropez, France, and reservations can be made on the brand's website.
