Best known for playing the character Pee-wee Herman, Rubens was a popular performer in children's films and shows until his career was derailed by an arrest for what was many regarded a minor offence. Directed by Matt Wolf (The Stroll) and produced by Emma Tillinger Koskoff (The Wolf of Wall Street, The Irishman). Wolf spent over 40 hours interviewing Reubens, and was given access to the actor's large collection of photographs and video footage. The film includes a final message from Reubens, recorded the day before his death. (JioHotstar) A still from 'Sirens'.
Actor Meghann Fahy plays Devonn DeWitt, a woman down on her luck who is concerned about her sister Simone's (Milly Alcock) creepy relationship with her new boss, billionaire Michaela (Julianne Moore). Set in a lavish beach estate, the black comedy series about class, family and power politics is created by Molly Smith Metzler and is based on her 2011 play, Elemeno Pea. The cast also includes Kevin Bacon. (Netflix) A still from 'Leila's Brothers'.
Leila has spent her life caring for her parents and four brothers. Now, as debt threatens to overwhelm them, she formulates a plan to save the family. This Iranian film by Saeed Roustayi competed for the Palme d'Or at the 2022 Cannes Film Festival. Roustayi, who spent 6 months in prison for entering that film at the festival, is at Cannes again this year with Woman and Child. This was initially a series of Danish crime novels called Department Q by Jussi Adler-Olsen about a former detective who heads a department that tackles seemingly unsolvable cases. Narcos star Wagner Moura to receive Golden Eye Award at Zurich Film Festival

Agency: PTI London, Aug 20 (PTI) The Zurich Film Festival will honour 'Narcos" star Wagner Moura with the prestigious Golden Eye Award. The festival will run from September 25 to October 5 this year. The Brazilian star was also bestowed with the best actor award at Cannes Film Festival this year for his performance in 'The Secret Agent" by Kleber Mendonça Filho. Moura, more known internationally for his portrayal of drug overlord Pablo Escobar in the hit Netflix series 'Narcos", said he was 'deeply honored" to receive the Golden Eye Award. 'Thank you to the Zurich Film Festival for recognizing my work in Kleber Mendonça Filho's truly beautiful and important Brazilian film The Secret Agent. I am humbled to be in the company of those who have received this award and I'm very proud to share the film with the Zurich festival audience in person this September," he added. In a statement, Zurich Film Festival artistic director Christian Jungen said, 'with The Secret Agent, Wagner Moura carries the story with an electrifying presence unlike anything else." Moura would be the first South American actor to receive the award in the festival's history, Jungen shared, praising Moura for 'his exceptional performance in the film and for a career that has made him one of Latin America's most charismatic and versatile actors." Based on the novel by Joseph Conrad, 'The Secret Agent" sees Moura lead as a professor who finds himself in a politically tense climate in Brazil's Recife after he returns there to bond with his estranged son. After a successful career in the Brazilian film industry, especially for his role in 'Elite Squad", Moura debuted in Hollywood in 2013 alongside Matt Damon and Jodie Foster in 'Elysium". It was in 2015 when Moura was launched into global stardom with 'Narcos". He was also seen recently in Alex Garland's acclaimed political thriller 'Civil War" and the Apple TV+ series 'Dope Thief". The preview of The Ba***ds of Bollywood hints at a show that's fast-paced, set in a stylised yet chaotic world, laced with self-aware humour, and a tongue-in-cheek tone. It's the ultimate underdog story that asks: how far will you go for your dream, what are you willing to lose, and can you survive a few Bollywood baddies along the way (pun totally intended!) View this post on Instagram A post shared by Netflix India (@netflix_in) The preview introduces the cast of the show, including Bobby Deol, Lakshya, Sahher Bambba, Manoj Pahwa, Mona Singh, Manish Chaudhari, Raghav Juyal, Anya Singh, and Vijayant Kohli with Rajat Bedi and Gautami Kapoor. We also see Salman Khan and Ranveer Singh making a special appearance in Aryan Khan's show. Watch the preview here: Meanwhile, Shah Rukh Khan also reflected on the pride of watching a new voice emerge. 'It's a proud moment to see Aryan carve out his vision with such clarity and edge. This is storytelling that's sharp, self-aware, and unapologetically bold, and I think audiences on Netflix will connect to the heart of it as much as its style," he said during the preview launch. Monika Shergill, Vice-President – Content, Netflix India, also shared, 'When Aryan Khan shared his vision for his directorial debut, we knew we were setting the stage for something special and disruptive. Ba***ds is witty, bold, and unlike anything audiences have seen before – a true roast-and-toast to Bollywood. It's a story bursting with love, drama, passion, ambition, family, and friendship. This series is a shining addition to our diverse slate, and we're proud to continue our journey with the supremely talented team of Red Chillies Entertainment, and with Shah Rukh Khan, whose creative legacy continues to inspire millions around the world."
