In a now-viral video shared on Instagram, a man was seen giving 'digital snan" to the popular Hollywood actress, who has been in the news lately for starring in a controversial advertisement for a denim brand called American Eagle.
The man, who claims to be a journalist by profession, was seen holding a picture of Sydney in his hands and introducing her to his viewers. He said, 'This is Sydney Sweeney. She needs no introduction. I am going to perform a 'digital snan' or virtual dip in the holy water of Sangam in Prayagraj here on the 3rd of August, 2025."
He then dipped her photo twice into the holy waters of the Sangam in Prayagraj, calling it 'digital snan", the trend which gained immense popularity during the Maha Kumbh earlier this year. The man shared the video on social media with the caption, 'Sydney Sweeney getting digital snan at Sangam, Prayagraj."
And not just the Euphoria actress, but he has performed 'digital snan" for innumerable people, as is evident through his Instagram account. He calls himself 'Digital Snan (virtual dip) giver, aka Digital Snan Guru."

The video, shared on Sunday, August 3, immediately drew attention, garnering over a million views. People were amused and shocked by such a trend. One user hilariously asked him to sell the water, linking the 'digital snan" to that of Sydney's recent stint of selling her bathwater soaps. The user wrote, 'Great, now u can sell that water."
Another added, 'No one should be surprised now if Sydney Sweeney suddenly has to go through an unknown bout with hepatitis." A different user joked, 'I don't think she consented to this, tho."
