Man Posing as Flight Attendant Scammed 4 Airlines Out of 120 Flights

A man who pretended to be a flight attendant for six years is no longer flying high.
Florida local Tiron Alexander, 35, was convicted on June 5 of wire fraud and entering into a secure area of an airport by false pretenses, according to a release from the United States Attorney's Office for the Southern District of Florida. He is scheduled to be sentenced on Aug. 25.
The United States Attorney's Office for the Southern District of Florida stated in a June 10 release, "According to court documents and evidence presented at trial, from 2018 to 2024, Alexander booked free flights on an airline carrier's website that were only available to pilots and flight attendants."
Alexander had worked for a Dallas-based airline company since 2015 but was never a pilot or flight attendant, per the indictment obtained by NBC News. He is accused of booking 120 free flights in total across four airlines by "falsely claiming to be a flight attendant.'

"Alexander claimed through the airline carrier's website application process—a process that required an applicant to select whether they were a pilot or flight attendant and provide their employer, date of hire, and badge number information," the release continued, "that he worked for seven different airlines and had approximately 30 different badge numbers and dates of hire."
As for how Alexander made it through security? The Transportation Security Administration (TSA) released a statement explaining he went through all airport security procedures, per NBC News.

A former Texas megachurch pastor is being sued by a woman who claims he sexually assaulted and abused her when she was 12 years old. The suit, filed this week in Dallas County District court, accuses Gateway Church founder Robert Morris and others of libel, malice, defamation, slander, failure to report, civil conspiracy, intentional infliction of emotional distress and unjust enrichment. They are seeking more than $1 million in damages. Cindy Clemishire and her father, Jerry Lee Clemishire, filed the suit less than a year after sharing the allegations with a religious watchdog blog, The Wartburg Watch. Cindy, 53, claimed she met Morris in 1981 while he was preaching at her church in Oklahoma and their families became close. She said Morris touched her inappropriately while staying at her house in 1982, and continued for the next four-and-a-half years. An Oklahoma grand jury in March indicted Morris on five counts of lewd or indecent acts with a child. He is currently out on bond. In the newly filed suit, Cindy alleges Morris' wife, sons and church members attempted to cover up the abuse for financial gain, according to a report from affiliate FOX 4. "[The] defendants acted in concert, cooperated with each other and conspired to maximize their profits through their unlawful and unjust course of action to fraudulently conceal and cover up the rape of Plaintiff," according to court documents. Morris resigned in June 2024 and later filed a lawsuit against the church, stating his "highly inappropriate" relationship with a minor was not a breach of contract, and Gateway Church should fulfill its contractual financial obligations to him. Church officials said he would have received millions in deferred compensation, additional retirement benefits and a severance payment, according to the report. Gateway Church declined Fox News Digital's request for comment.

Boston University Addresses Alex Cooper Sexual Harassment Allegations

After Alex Cooper—who played soccer for the college from 2013 to 2015—accused her former coach Nancy Feldman of sexual harassment in her new docuseries Call Her Alex, the educational institution addressed her allegations. "Boston University has a zero-tolerance policy for sexual harassment," the university shared in a statement to E! News June 13. "We have a robust system of resources, support and staff dedicated to student wellbeing and a thorough reporting process through our Equal Opportunity Office." The statement continued, "We encourage members of our community to report any concerns, and we remain committed to fostering a safe and secure campus environment for all." Following the release of her docuseries June 10, which details the alleged abuse she experienced, Cooper further slammed the university and Feldman for the alleged mishandling of the situation. Death investigation underway in West Des Moines after body found in vehicle
WEST DES MOINES, Iowa — Police in West Des Moines are investigating a death after a body was discovered in the parking lot of the Barnes & Noble store Friday morning. Sgt. Dan Wade of the West Des Moines Police Department said officers responded to 4550 University Avenue around 9:00 a.m. after receiving a call about a body in a vehicle. When officers arrived, they found an adult woman deceased in a car. Warren County barn fire claims life of 81-year-old man The cause of death is being investigated. The woman's name has not been released. Sgt. Wade said there's no indication of any threat to the public related to this incident. He also said it doesn't appear there is any indication of criminal activity linked to the death.
