A shocking thing is happening for New York Mets fans right now. A key player on the team is very close to earning a big honor he's never received with the Mets. But while fans are doing their part, someone close to him is also helping in a very personal way—and she's making sure her message is heard loud and clear.
Francisco Lindor leads NL shortstops in votes ahead of 2025 All-Star Game
New York Mets shortstop Francisco Lindor is the leading vote-getter among all National League shortstops for the approaching MLB All-Star Game as of June 24, 2025. With over 1. 64 million votes, he seems well-positioned to start the All-Star Game for the first time since he joined the Mets in 2021.
Francisco Lindor is a four-time All-Star, but all his beginnings were under Cleveland Guardians (then Indians). Though he has played well since arriving in New York, this season with the Mets has been among his finest.
With sixteen home runs, thirteen steals, and a 133 OPS+, he has shown excellent all-around performance on both offense and defense so far in 2025.
Fans are clearly showing their support this year, and Lindor may finally get the All-Star start that's been missing from his Mets journey.

On Instagram, Francisco Lindor's wife, Katia Lindor, shared a sweet and simple message for Mets fans. On her June 23, 2025, Instagram story, she wrote:

Her post didn't use many words, but it was heartfelt. She has been by Lindor's side through all his highs and lows, and fans often spot her in the stands with their kids, smiling and clapping.
Voting for the All-Star Game ends on June 26, and fans can cast up to five votes per day on MLB.com. Katia's post added even more attention to the final days of voting—and Mets fans are now pushing hard to make sure Lindor gets that starting spot in the midsummer classic.

Suniel Shetty Lauds KL Rahul On Scoring A Century Against England: 'Proud Of You Son'
Published By : Chirag Sehgal IANS Last Updated: Suniel Shetty took to Instagram, where he shared a picture of Rahul from the test match and praised his game. Actor Suniel Shetty is a 'proud" father-in-law as his cricketer son-in-law scored a century against England at the Test Match at the Headingley Stadium in Leeds. Suniel took to Instagram, where he shared a picture of Rahul from the test match and wrote: 'A knock that spoke less, but said everything Proud of you son KL Rahul." He then shared a picture of star cricketer Rishabh Pant, who turned out to be the second with 118 against England on the fourth day of the match, after scoring 134 in the first innings. Pant has become the first Indian batter to score hundreds in both innings of a Test in England. The actor wrote: 'Two innings. Two centuries. One fearless heart. Rishabh Pant." Suniel went on to share a post which mentioned that 'Rahul communicated with Sai in Tamil, with Pant in Hindi and Karun Nair in Kannada. After the stumps, he'll speak with the broadcasters in English." To which, Suniel wrote: 'Proudly Indian." Outstanding centuries from KL Rahul and Rishabh Pant have put India in command of the first Anderson-Tendulkar Trophy Test as they ensured the lead went past 300 on June 23. At tea, India's lead read as 304 runs, with their second innings scorecard reading as 298/4 in 75 overs, as 145 runs came off the second session, as Rahul and Pant pounced on the old ball and England looked very short on ideas. While Rahul was at his composed self to be unbeaten on 120, his ninth Test hundred laced with 15 boundaries, Pant was at his scintillating best to smash 118 – his eighth century in the format, aided by 15 boundaries and three sixes. Before the 195-run stand between Rahul and Pant happened in Headingley, the duo had previously hit centuries while being in a partnership at The Oval in 2018. Pant also smashed many records – becoming the first wicketkeeper and fifth batter from India to score two hundreds in the same Test match in overseas conditions. First Published:

IND vs ENG Test: Jasprit Bumrah says he is not like James Anderson, provides glimpse into his bowling technique
LEEDS, ENGLAND - JUNE 23: Jasprit Bumrah of India bowls during Day Four of the 1st Rothesay Test Match between England and India at Headingley on June 23, 2025 in Leeds, England. (Photo by) Jasprit Bumrah has explained why his bowling technique is different and revealed a big secret about his bowling. Former England cricketer and Sky Sports commentator Ian Ward asked Bumrah: "What's the feeling off the finger? Can you just explain to youngsters what the feeling is? Which finger does it come off? Jimmy Anderson talks about it coming off this one (index). Is that the same for you?" Bumrah replied: "I'm slightly different. I don't use my index finger; I use the middle finger all the time." View this post on Instagram A post shared by Sky Sports Cricket 🏏 (@skysportscricket) "So I try to flick the ball — when I want to bowl an outswinger, I flick it this way, and when I want to bowl the inswinger, I flick it inward — because I can't usually change my arm path too much due to the way my bowling style is. "Yes, so I usually use my second finger for whichever swing I want to bowl because that's how I've always bowled. I've learned over the years that I can't really change my arm path. Jasprit Bumrah press conference: Lashes out at critics, dropped catches and no balls "I do change my position on the crease depending on what I want to bowl, but I try to flick it when I want to move it either way." Bumrah was India's standout bowler on day three, as his figures of 5 for 83 in 24.4 overs — his 14th five-wicket haul in Tests — ensured India secured a narrow six-run lead after bowling out England for 465 in their first innings. Bumrah, who picked up his third five-wicket haul in England, has now equalled the legendary Kapil Dev for the most fifers by an Indian in away Tests (12).
