Badass: Siddu Jonnalagadda returns with ‘no mercy' as he announces his next film
Taking to X, Sithara Entertainments presented the first look of Siddu Jonnalagadda's upcoming project titled Badass. From the first glimpse, it is evident that the actor will be pulling off a rather rugged and sporty look which will be unlike any other role he portrayed before.
Sharing the post the makers wrote 'You have seen heroes & You have seen villains.
But this one's not here to fit into your labels! Make way for STARBOY #Siddu as #Badass This time no mercy. He's going to set the screens on.'
For the unversed, this movie is directed by Ravikanth Perepu and will be produced by Naga Vamsi. The poster revealed that the film is expected to lock big screen release sometime in 2026.
Siddu Jonnalagadda returned Rs 4.75 crores to Jack producers?
Well, the actor's previous film Jack was underwhelming at the box office and reports suggested that he returned about Rs. 4.75 crores to the producers, which is nearly half of his fees for the movie.
The spy comedy drama was tagged as a redundant movie, which was quite overused in its plot and tedious to watch at a stretch by the audiences.
Siddu's work front
Besides Badass, Siddu Jonnalagadda also has some more films in the pipeline next. These include Telusu Kada, which is slated for a theatrical release in October 2025. He also has Tillu Cube next, which joins as the next installment to the Tillu film franchise.

Coolie Box Office Collection Day 4: Rajinikanth's Film Is A Few Crores Away From Rs 200 Crore In India
New Delhi: Rajinikanth's Coolie had a stellar start at the box office. However, the numbers saw a significant dip in the subsequent days, taking the total to Rs 194.25 crore across languages at the box office after 4 days. What's Happening On first Sunday, Coolie minted Rs 35 crore including Tamil, Telugu, Hindi and Kannada languages, as per Sacnilk. The film crossed the Rs 300 crore mark globally within three days of its release. Coolie, released on the eve of Independence Day, minted Rs 65 crore with Rs 44.5 crore in Tamil alone on the first day (August 14). On Day two, the film minted Rs 54.75 at the domestic box office. Coolie received mixed reviews. The word-of-mouth from the audience might have impacted its numbers over the weekend. On Saturday, the film managed to earn Rs 39.5 crore across all languages. Coolie emerged as Rajinikanth's all-time highest opener at the box office. The film missed the spot of being the highest opener for Tamil cinema as Lokesh Kanagaraj-Vijay's Leo set the highest opening record of Rs 66 crore at the box office. Coolie is facing a mega clash at the box office as Yash Raj Films' War 2 released at the box office on the same day. About Coolie Directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj, Coolie marks Rajinikanth's 171st film. The movie also features Nagarjuna, Shruti Haasan, Upendra, Soubin Shahir and Sathyaraj in key roles. Aamir Khan will make a cameo appearance in the film. Coolie is produced by Kalanithi Maran's Sun Pictures. In his review for NDTV, film critic Saibal Chatterjee gave the film 3 out of 5 stars and wrote, "Coolie plays out in a man's world. The likes of Preethi, notwithstanding the amount of screen time she has, is only of secondary importance. So is everybody else in the film and that includes the writer-director himself. It is Rajinikanth the star and Deva the character who call the shots all the way through. Should anybody be complaining?" Coolie also marked Rajinikanth's 50 years in the business. Industry stalwarts like Kamal Haasan, Mohanlal, Mammootty and others wished the living legend on his special day.

War 2 box office collection day 4: Hrithik Roshan, Jr NTR thriller dips further, overtakes Aamir Khan's Sitaare Zameen Par with Rs 218 cr earning worldwide
War 2 box office collection day 4: Ayan Mukerji's spy thriller, starring Hrithik Roshan and Jr NTR, saw a disappointing dip on its first Sunday in India. The film, which earned Rs 33.25 crore across the three languages (the original Hindi version and the dubbed Telugu and Tamil versions), saw a further dip on Sunday when it garnered only Rs 31 crore across all languages. After opening at the domestic box office on Thursday at Rs 52 crore, War 2 witnessed a spike on Friday, thanks to the occasion of Independence Day, adding another Rs 57.35 crore. But the major drops on Saturday and Sunday indicate that its first Monday may see a massive downfall in turn. In its extended opening weekend of four days, the film has earned Rs 173.60 crore in India across all languages, as per Sacnilk. Out of this, the major chunk comes from the Hindi version, which earned Rs 29 crore, Rs 44.50 crore, and Rs 26 crore on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday, respectively. The Telugu dubbed version follows next, thanks to the presence of Jr NTR as a new entrant in the sequel. That version garnered Rs 22.75 crore, Rs 12.50 crore, and Rs 6.95 crore on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday respectively. The Tamil version lags far behind, collecting only Rs 0.25 crore, Rs 0.35 crore, and Rs 0.30 crore on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday respectively. The language-vise breakup of the Sunday earnings hasn't been ascertained yet. War 2 may have crossed the Rs 150 crore mark at the domestic box office, also beating the lifetime Indian box office earnings of RS Prasanna's coming-of-age sports comedy Sitaare Zameen Par. The Aamir Khan film collected Rs 166.58 crore before its premiere on a pay-per-view basis on YouTube earlier this month. The next milestones of War 2 are to beat the lifetime domestic box office earnings of other hits of this year, including Ashwin Kumar's mythological animated film Mahavatar Narshimha (Rs 201.79 crore), Akshay Kumar's whodunit comedy Housefull 5 (Rs 198.41 crore), and Ajay Devgn's crime thriller Raid 2 (Rs 179.30 crore). Given its current trajectory, War 2 may not even come close to the lifetime domestic box office collection of this year's biggest hits — Vicky Kaushal-starrer historical action film Chhaava (Rs 615.39 crore) and Ahaan Panday and Aneet Padda-starrer romantic drama Saiyaara (Rs 331.52 crore), which is also backed by Aditya Chopra's production house Yash Raj Films. War 2 will soon also surpass the lifetime domestic box office collection of Mukerji's 2013 romantic comedy Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani (Rs 188.57 crore), but it's quite behind that of his previous directorial, the 2022 romantic fantasy Brahmastra – Part One: Shiva (Rs 267.20 crore). It's also way behind that of the first part, Siddharth Anand's War (2019), which collected Rs 318.01 crore across all three languages. Also Read: Coolie and War 2 expose the futility of milking the Pan-India dream Overseas, War 2 has earned over $5 million (Rs 45 crore), thus taking its total worldwide collection to Rs 218.60 crore. War 2 is the latest instalment in the YRF Spy Universe. It also stars Kiara Advani, Ashutosh Rana, and Anil Kapoor among others. The next instalment, Shiv Rawail's Alpha, starring Alia Bhatt and Sharvari, is slated to release in cinemas this Christmas on December 25.
