The 73-year-old Hong Kong martial arts superstar Sammo Hung has in recent years often been spotted using a wheelchair or cane when out and about.
Whether at supermarkets in Shenzhen, China, or street markets in Sheung Shui, Hong Kong, he is frequently seen shopping on his own and enjoying a relaxed semi-retired life.
In interviews, he has jokingly said that grocery shopping is a form of 'entertainment' for him – showing his love for life and his self-sufficiency.
The Walled In star is also someone who keeps up with trends.
Hung has officially joined the Chinese social media platform Douyin (the Chinese version of TikTok) with his own personal account.
On June 5, he shared his first video on the platform, captioned humorously: 'Hello everyone, today I've finally 'fished' my way here,' playing on a pun in Mandarin for the word 'arrived.'
In his second video, he shared edited clips from his classic films, accompanied by an inspiring voice-over.
'Failure is not frightening; it's the fear of failure that's truly daunting! Failure is just a temporary setback; perseverance is the eternal attitude.' (Translation via dimsumdaily.hk)
He also uploaded a video ahead of Father's Day (June 15), featuring his eldest son Timmy Hung wishing his followers a Happy Father's Day.
The video includes a three-generational family portrait, with his wife, Joyce Godenzi, stealing the spotlight with her radiant beauty. The photo also features his two grandsons, Timmy's children with Janet Chow.
As of June 8, it's reported Hung has 730,000 people following him on the platform.

(Video) 'Fake Lady Gaga' Goes Viral With Impressive Cover Of 'Abracadabra'
When it comes to live performances, Lady Gaga is second to none. However, this singer's cover of 'Abracadabra' in a nightclub in Chongqing had netizens doing a double-take, believing it was the real deal! Recently, a video of a performance in a Chongqing nightclub went viral on Chinese social media. The video depicts a singer covering Lady Gaga's latest hit, 'Abracadabra'. However, what sets this cover apart is how elaborate it is and how closely it references the original performance. As shown in the video, the singer appears in a red ensemble, similar to what Lady Gaga wore during her performance at Coachella 2025. She also sported the iconic black bob hairstyle. To netizens' surprise, the cover singer sounded like Lady Gaga and included her signature raspy voice in her singing. She also mimicked the star's stage movements and facial expressions. In response to the viral video, many netizens thought Lady Gaga was performing. Some also expressed surprise over the scale of the performance, saying they would've never expected such an elaborate performance at a nightclub. After the video went viral, netizens began digging for more information about the 'fake Lady Gaga'. As it turns out, the individual was Chinese singer Pan Hongyue (transliteration from 潘虹樾). The 35-year-old first gained recognition for placing 8th on the 2009 Chinese singing competition 'Super Girl'. She didn't remain very active as a singer following her appearance on the show because she stopped performing to focus on her studies. However, Pan Hongyue is slowly making her return to the entertainment industry through social media. Her Douyin account shows she's steadily gaining followers by imitating Lady Gaga. In one video, the singer recreated the American star's red leather ensemble that she sported in her 'Mayhem' album. Pan Hongyue also covered other Lady Gaga songs, including 'Poker Face' and 'Bloody Mary'. Most comments towards Pan Hongyue's Lady Gaga imitation performances have been positive, with many saying they look forward to seeing more covers. What are your thoughts on this? Human-sized Labubu figure sells for over US$150,000 at Beijing auction

A Labubu mascot performs for visitors to Pop Land, a theme park for Pop Mart, manufacturer of collectible toys and plush dolls during the May Day holiday in Beijing, Thursday, May 1, 2025. - Photo: AP Photo BEIJING: A Beijing auction house sold a human-sized Labubu figure for 1.08 million yuan (US$150,275.51) on Tuesday (June 10), setting a new record for the 'blind box' toy as it moves from craze to collectible. The event held by Yongle International Auction, which traditionally specialises in modern art, as well as jewellery, marked the first ever auction dedicated to Labubu, toothy monster figurines that are mainly sold by China's toy company Pop Mart and have been at the centre of a global frenzy for the past year. The auction offered 48 lots for sale and was attended in person by roughly 200 people, while over a thousand bidders put down offers via Yongle's mobile app, the auction house said. The starting price for all the items started at zero and it eventually raised a total of 3.73 million yuan. The highest grossing item, a mint green, 131cm tall Labubu figure, received several bids to sell for 1.08 million yuan. The auctioneer said it was the only one available in the world. A set of three Labubu sculptures, about 40cm tall and made of PVC material, sold for 510,000 yuan. The set, from a series called 'Three Wise Labubu', was limited to a run of 120 sets in 2017 and another one sold for HK$203,200 (US$25,889.64) at Sotheby's most recent auction in Hong Kong. Labubu was created a decade ago by Hong Kong artist and illustrator Kasing Lung. In 2019, Lung agreed to let them be sold by Pop Mart, a Chinese toy company that markets collectable figurines often sold in 'blind boxes'. A buyer of a blind box toy does not know exactly what design they will receive until they open the packaging. The starting price for Labubu blind box toys sold in Pop Mart's stores is around 50 yuan. The character's popularity skyrocketed after Lisa of the Korean pop music group Blackpink was spotted with a Labubu and praised the doll in interviews and online posts. Many celebrities followed. In May, British football star David Beckham shared a photo on Instagram of his Labubu attached to a bag. One Yongle auction bidder, a restaurant owner who only gave her surname as Du, said she had planned to spend a maximum of 20,000 yuan but walked away empty handed as the final prices were too high. 'My child likes it, so every time… Labubu released new products, we will buy one or two items. It is hard to explain its popularity, but it must have moved this generation,' she said. - Reuters
