Shoppers race to B&M to bag £2.50 garden buy that will transform your lawn edge in seconds and save you so much cash
With the sunshine here to stay for a while, more and more people are spending time in their gardens.
So it's no surprise that many are noticing areas in their outdoor space that could do with some TLC.

Whether it's adding a few extra plants to brighten up the flowerbeds or getting patios sparkling clean, spending more time outdoors often highlights the need for a backyard makeover.
Fortunately, you don't have to break the bank to spruce up your garden.
Local supermarkets and budget retailers may have just what you need for very reasonable prices.
And B&M has certainly become a go-to destination for gardening essentials, offering affordable buys that make a big impact.
This week, shoppers spotted a reduced item that is the perfect solution for unsightly lawn edges.
It takes just seconds to install and can create a pretty divide between your grass and flowerbeds, without forking out for a wall or wooden sleepers.
The stone effect lawn edging comes in a pack of four and is reduced from £4 to £2.50, saving you £1.50.
The team at B&M say the "stunning" bargain is the ideal way to "frame your garden", with each panel measuring W26 x H22cm.
Their online description adds: "A stylish and durable touch to your outdoor space and perfect for adding definition to flowerbeds and pathways."
Gardening fans have been going wild for the gardening buy after one shopper shared a picture on the BARGAIN LOVERS Poundland, Home Bargains, B&M, Primark, The Range & More Facebook group, which has 818,000 members.
The four easy steps to get your tired lawn lush for summer & you don't need to worry about pigeons ruining it either
"Would look nice for the centre of the front lawn", one person said.
A second gushed: "I need to go and get some off these."
"No way! We need to grab some of them", echoed a third.
A fourth insisted: "This would look cute at the bottom of the fence."
"Can someone get me 10 packs please?" pleaded a fifth.
And a sixth wrote: "Got some yesterday £2.50 box."
Other shoppers, however, are not sold on the lawn gadget.
"Looks well cheap and tacky", one person blasted.
Somebody else claimed: "I doubt they'll stay nice for long."
A third revealed: "Not good if you have kids! Snap straight away."
Meanwhile, a fourth wrote: "Absolute cheap, tacky tat my friend had them in her garden and she was fuming how they looked.
"We all had a good laugh - she was laughing I mean and made her husband remove them."
How to save money at B&M
Shoppers have saved hundreds of pounds a year by using B&M's scanner app.
The scanner lets you see if an item's price is cheaper than advertised on the shop floor label.
Products that are typically discounted are seasonal items and old stock that B&M is trying to shift.
The app is free to download off the B&M Stores mobile app via Google Play or the Apple App Store.
According to one ex-B&M manager, you'll want to visit your local branch at 10am on a Wednesday too.
Here's how you can join the B&M bargain hunt:
Download the B&M app for free on any smartphone with an App Store or Google Play.
Once you've installed it on your device, click on the option labelled "more" on the bottom, right-hand side of the app home page.
You'll then find an option that says "barcode scanner". Click on this and you'll open a camera screen.
Use the camera to hover over the barcode of the product you wish to check.
If the price comes up as lower, take it to the cash desk and it will automatically scan at the lower price.
You don't need to sign up to the B&M app to use the barcode scanner.
If this one has left you on the fence, there are always other ways you can make your garden look elegant and sophisticated on the cheap.
Another item available at B&M to help elevate your garden and also give you extra privacy is an Arch Metal Trellis available for just £3.
Not only does the trellis look nice but it's also 62cm tall meaning it can help add privacy.
It's available in two designs - a fleur de lis and a bee pattern - making it a fitting addition to any garden.
A description on the B&M website reads: "Add a decorative focal point to your garden with this Arch Metal Trellis.
"Perfect for climbing plants and flowers."
With temperatures rising in the summer months you can enjoy a relaxing day in the sun without worrying about your neighbours.
A trellis can provide an exciting opportunity for green thumbs to show off their gardening skills with vines and climbing flowers.
It's perfect for growing vegetables like cucumbers, peas and pole beans, as well as flowers like wisteria, clematis and jasmine to add a bit of colour to your garden.

Beauty expert ROSIE GREEN reveals the must-have products to tackle your hot-weather dilemmas - from a patchy tan to greasy skin and frazzled hair
My legs are too blotchy to inflict on the public, help! I hear you. I've always had limbs more 'corned beef' than 'honey dipped'. My genetic misfortune is now exacerbated by age-induced dryness, dullness, sun damage and thread veins. How to make them bare-able? A simple combination of massage plus lotion will make them look 50 per cent smoother and more youthful. In truth any product will do, but if you want to maximise results try a body serum. New to the UK is Uni 24-Hour Body Serum (below, £43, Expensive, but I cannot overstate how divine this smells (it's the cedar, juniper and sandalwood blend) and how perfect the consistency is. It sinks straight in to leave skin plumped and dewy. A cheaper option is the just launched Vaseline Gluta-Hya Serum-in-Lotion, which comes in three iterations: Dewy Radiance, Overnight Radiance Repair and Flawless Glow (around £7 each, It promises skin-transforming results in five days – and reader, it delivers. Once skin is primed, invest in a faux glow. My tried and tested classics are Gatineau Golden Glow Gradual Tan (from £22, and Garnier Summer Body Gradual Tan Lotion (£12, Using a mitt will minimise patchiness. If you need more coverage, seek out Mac Studio Face and Body Radiant Sheer Foundation (£35, or Sally Hansen Airbrush Legs Instant Tan Spray (£13.99, which hides pretty much anything. Uni 24-Hour Body Serum £43 Shop It's sandal season and my feet are unsightly You don't say what is causing offence, but let's talk hobbit feet and hairy toes. I use my Venus Facial Dermaplaning Trimmer Hair Remover (£27, to whisk away knuckle tufts. If your heels are prone to fissures, I love Bare Feet By Margaret Dabbs Crack Sealer (£9, It forms a transparent protective barrier that helps seal splits, locking in moisture and leaving heels looking much prettier. My mosquito bites swell up to a gargantuan size Nobody wants to accessorise their summer look with disfiguring red lumps. If you react badly to insect bites then a trick I learned on photo shoots is to take precautionary antihistamines every day of your trip. Also apply bug repellent liberally, but remember the solvents cause varnish to smudge so avoid contact with your nails if you have a manicure. Elizabeth Arden Eight Hour HydraPlay 2-in-1 Daily Cleanser £22 Shop When the temperature climbs, I'm afflicted by shine There's glowy and there's greasy. To avoid the latter, prep skin with a purifying cleanser. I like the new Elizabeth Arden Eight Hour HydraPlay 2-in-1 Daily Cleanser (above, £22, which uses pink kaolin clay to control oil without stripping the skin. Then try Murad Superactive Moisturizer SPF 40 Mattifying Oil + Pore Control (£45, This updated sunscreen formula includes oil-trapping microspheres, which help soak up the slick and blur blemishes, as well as reducing sebum production and enlarged pores in the long term. Finally, invest in Tatcha Aburatorigami Japanese Blotting Papers (£12, Useful on the go, just press them on the skin (over or under make-up) to soak up sheen. On holiday my hair looks like wire wool For those with non-compliant frizzy hair, here are some strategies. I often have a blow-dry pre-trip and eke it out with dry shampoo. I rate luxe-y brand Ouai's Super Dry Shampoo (below, £26, which comes in two new scents: Melrose Place and Cape Town (available from Friday). This approach obviously involves swimming doggy paddle to avoid wetting your hair, so if that's not your style try spritzing pre-beach with Pantene Sunkiss Glow Leave-In Spray (£12, a UV- protective treatment that smooths the cuticle, controls frizz and enhances shine. Then slick back and rock the wet look during the day. Pre-dinner, wash it out and you're guaranteed smoother, shinier hair. Ouai Super Dry Shampoo £26 Shop I often get flushed on hot days – how do I tone down redness? A dermatologist once told me that running your wrists under cold water is effective for quickly reducing your body temperature and thus calming pink cheeks. But if you want to conceal more persistent redness, try blending a little Erborian CC Red Correct (£19, Or use a gradual tan. I like Three Warriors Hydra Bronze Tanning Drops (£33, which can be added to your usual moisturiser and works beautifully to even out skin tone.

An interiors expert's guide on how to bring summer's brightest colour trend into your home
Once a colour reserved for swirly 1970s carpets and budget airline seats, tangerine has had a glow-up, with the zesty shade appearing across the most stylish walls and textiles this season. Here's our expert guide to working the shade at home. PAIR WITH NEUTRALS The key to decorating with orange is knowing how much to use and when to use it. It brings a playful touch to utilitarian spaces such as kitchens and bathrooms, but it can easily dominate if overused. Tash Bradley, colour expert and founder of paint brand Lick, recommends pairing it with complementary tones such as navy or neutrals. 'You can't go wrong with the combination of orange and blue, as they sit opposite each other on the colour wheel,' she says. 'Orange also works well with tonal colours, or whites with a warming pink undertone for a grounded look.' Here, orange cabinets are balanced by white cupboards, walls and countertops. For a cost-effective hint of the hue, try painting cupboard handles. SMALL DOSES, BIG IMPACT 'Tangerine is a strong colour to work with,' says interior designer Emma Gurner, 'so I'd introduce it to an interiors scheme as an accent shade across furniture, window treatments, carpets and accessories.' Hallways often lack natural light, so they are ideal spaces to add vibrant, light-reflecting shades. Here the carpet and stair runner are edged with orange for a subtle pop of colour, but you could also try bringing in the shade with vases, flowers or a table light. MIX YOUR TONES When decorating in a single hue like tangerine, it's important to include tonal variations to stop the scheme falling flat. Charlotte Cosby, creative director at Farrow & Ball, recommends mixing in darker, muddier orange tones such as ochre for a 'cosy and cocooning feel', or using different finishes (think matt paired with gloss) for added depth. Here, a wooden cabinet is painted in orange gloss to reflect the light, complemented by orange-striped wallpaper behind the bed. A further touch of the colour is used on the headboard, creating a look that's textured and rich. EMBRACE THE UNEXPECTED 'Pops of tangerine are a great way to create a new take on the 'unexpected red' theory,' says Helen Shaw, director of marketing at paint experts Benjamin Moore & Co. The idea here is that adding red, or in this case tangerine, in an unexpected space instantly makes it feel more defined. Here, orange glazed tiles create a surprising zingy focal point behind the shower. Finger tiles are the ideal choice for compact or narrow rooms as they draw the eye upwards, making the space appear bigger. Our wine expert reveals the best red wines for Father's Day, from £8.50
Father's Day calls for a proper get-together, delicious food and a good bottle or two, so here I've lined up four brilliant reds for different kinds of dad: a smooth, food-friendly Tuscan for the classic ones; a chillable red in a jazzy bottle for the trendy type; a lesser-known French for the laid-back gent and a top-tier pour for the sophisticated sort who knows – or likes to think he knows – his stuff. Villa Cafaggio Chianti Classico Tuscany 2022 (13%), £15, Waitrose. Classic Dad will love this Sangiovese, which punches well above its price tag. With dark cherry, rosemary and Mediterranean herbs, it's a great match for smoky meats. £16.00 Shop Al Fresco Red 2024 (11%), £8.50, Co-op. This chillable light red is just the thing for Trendy Dad, right down to its AI- generated label. The drink itself, made by a UK Master of Wine, is all fun, flair and red fruit. £8.50 Shop Taste the Difference Discovery Collection Marselan 2023 (13%), £9.50, Sainsbury's. For Laid-back Dad, Marselan is an unusual cross between Grenache and Cabernet Sauvignon, with dark plum, blackberry and savoury depth. £9.50 Shop
