Filmmaker Atlee was conferred with an honorary doctorate by the Sathyabama Institute of Science and Technology in Chennai. This is the same university where he once studied and first dreamed of becoming a prestigious recognition was awarded during the 34th convocation ceremony held on Saturday, June 14, 2025.
