Bryce Huff thankful he landed with 49ers
Edge rusher Bryce Huff is happy to be back with 49ers defensive coordinator Robert Saleh.
Huff had 10 sacks playing for Saleh in 2023 when Saleh was the head coach of the Jets and turned that into a three-year deal with the Eagles as a free agent. Huff was not able to replicate that success in Vic Fangio's defense and he dealt with an injury before being inactive for the team's Super Bowl win.

After a mutual agreement to have Huff stay away from the offseason program as both sides looked for a trade, the Eagles dealt Huff to the 49ers last month. On Wednesday, Huff said he had his eyes on a reunion throughout the process.
'I had a few places in mind that I definitely wanted to get traded to," Huff said, via 95.7 The Game. "All I was doing is just working out, staying in my routine. Thankfully, it was to San Francisco.'
Saleh said, via 49ersWebzone.com, that Huff brings "speed off the edge" to the defense and that opposing coaches have to "account for his presence on the field" while discussing why the team made the move for Huff. Those traits served Huff and Saleh well in their first run together and the coming months will show if the second time will be the charm as well.

Haason Reddick dismisses idea he is trying to "regain his reputation"
Haason Reddick heard the criticism and knew a question about his absence at the Buccaneers' organized team activities was coming. So, the edge rusher made a preemptive statement following a mandatory minicamp practice. 'I'll address it before y'all do: I know everybody was concerned about me not showing up at [OTAs], but for me, I definitely made sure to stay in shape,' Reddick, 30, said, via Rick Stroud of the Tampa Bay Times. 'I think I showed that to everybody out here. 'I don't think it should've been a question, but [I] just had some things to button up on as I get ready to make this transition down here so that way, once I get here, I don't have to worry about [anything] back there at home.' In 2024, Reddick didn't show up for six months after the Eagles traded him to the Jets. He missed seven regular-season games before agreeing to an adjusted contract. After signing a one-year, $14 million deal with the Bucs in March, Reddick went to work with his personal trainer, Kenny Williams, in Philadelphia. He is trying to get back to being a Pro Bowl pass rusher. Reddick had only one sack and three quarterback hits in 10 games last season, ending his streak of four consecutive double-digit sack seasons. But he doesn't buy into needing to 'regain his reputation' as a top edge rusher. 'Regain my reputation as a premier pass rusher?' Reddick said. 'Regain my rep, huh? Let's just say, I am motivated but not for that type of stuff, right? Like, I don't care what people think about me, to be honest. People can say whatever they want. That's your opinion and you're entitled to it. . . . What you talk about, things like that, as long as I'm in a great place and a safe space and my mental is strong? That's the only thing that I'm worried about.'

Travis Kelce, Taylor Swift enjoy rare night out at Stanley Cup Final Game 4
Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift might be enchanted with hockey now. The star couple was on hand at Amerant Bank Arena in Sunrise, Florida, for Game 4 of the Stanley Cup Final between the Panthers and Oilers. Kelce wore a red top with red shorts as he rocked a white and red 'Palm Tree Crew' Panthers hat while Swift appeared to keep her look neutral in an off-white top and bottom. Advertisement Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce attend Game 4 of the Stanley Cup Final Swift, 35, has had plenty of viral hockey moments in life, including a reveal of the 2009-10 Predators then-new third jerseys during a concert in Nashville and, four years later, taking a picture with former Hurricanes star Joel Skinner, even holding up his jersey. She also donned Islanders gear in a skit with Jimmy Fallon for the 'Tonight Show' in 2015. Advertisement Kelce, who previously posted about his love of playoff hockey, and his brother Jason debated in October on the 'New Heights' podcast about which NHL players could also play in the NFL, and they named Oilers star Connor McDavid as one who could. In April, a source told Page Six that Swift and Kelce have enjoyed a 'special' offseason, which has largely been low-key after the Chiefs lost the Super Bowl to the Eagles. 'They are making the most of their time off together. They are hanging out with friends, too. It's a special time for them,' the source said. Getty Images Kelce, who announced earlier this offseason that he is coming back to the Chiefs for at least one more year, will likely have more of Swift at games this year as she is not touring this coming season. Advertisement 'Taylor is really looking forward to the upcoming NFL season,' a source told People on Thursday. Not just because she loves supporting Travis, but because for the first full season since they started dating, she's not juggling a packed tour schedule. 'This fall will be completely different. It's the first season where she's not constantly flying back and forth or working around an entire touring calendar.' The Panthers entered Game 4 leading the series 2-1.
