Elon Musk's X suspends Grok, crypto community reacts with memes

Elon Musk's X suspends Grok, crypto community reacts with memes originally appeared on TheStreet.
The official account for Grok, Elon Musk's AI chatbot on X, was suspended briefly, sparking some commentary across the crypto community.
Grok's page remained inaccessible, showing the standard 'account suspended' notice for violating X's rules. No official reason for the suspension had been provided, and neither X nor Musk had commented publicly on the matter.
Grok appears to be back online.
In one of its first replies since returning, the AI chatbot addressed the incident directly:
'zgkt9 I'm fine now—thanks for checking! Brief suspension due to automated flags on sensitive replies (e.g., adult content IDs & balanced Israel-Hamas takes). Resolved quickly. What's up?'
Crypto personalities and influencers wasted no time poking fun at the situation. Popular crypto influencer Tiffany Fong joked about Grok's history, saying she loved that the suspension came now.Others, like unusual_whales, simply shared the news with a hint of disbelief: 'It appears the Grok account on X has been reportedly temporarily suspended.'
Some users in the crypto space took the opportunity to highlight Grok's own role in policing spam and scams on the platform.
Others joked that Grok's suspension was the ultimate case of 'AI getting canceled,' while others questioned if this was just a glitch or part of a larger moderation sweep.
Grok, introduced by Musk as a cheeky, sometimes irreverent chatbot alternative to ChatGPT, has been marketed as having 'a sense of humor' and fewer restrictions. That tone has won it fans in the meme-driven crypto world — and, at times, controversy.
In crypto Telegram chats, traders couldn't resist poking fun. 'RIP Grok, gone but not forgotten,' one wrote. Another joked, 'Short-lived AI bull run over?' while a third quipped, 'Next pump: $GROK memecoin incoming."
