OPEN// PM follows up NOSI financial status
CAIRO, April 17 (MENA) - Prime Minister Moustafa Madbouli said the National Organization for Social Insurance (NOSI) is playing a very important role via providing social protection to manpower and including workforce under the umbrella of social insurance in addition to the organization's role in investing money surplus via the NOSI's investment fund.
During a meeting the prime minister held Thursday to follow up on the financial status of the NOSI in presence of Finance Minister Ahmed Kouchouk and Chairman of the NOSI Gamal Awad the minister of finance said, investments of NOSI in the Fiscal Year 2023-2024 increased by EGP 44.2 billion.
He added that the increase amounted to 7.8% compared to the former fiscal year. (MENA)

He also emphasized Egypt's commitment to supporting Nigeria through capacity-building programs, including cooperation with Al-Azhar in combating extremist ideologies. The conversation also included an exchange of perspectives on Middle East developments, particularly the situation in Gaza. Abdelatty briefed his Nigerian counterpart on Egypt's ongoing efforts to broker a ceasefire and ensure the delivery of humanitarian aid, while condemning Israel's continued violations of international law and international humanitarian law and its actions against Palestinian civilians, which he said run counter to global calls for an immediate end to the war and unimpeded humanitarian access. Palestinian Health Ministry: death toll from Israeli airstrikes on Gaza rose to 21 today
Basant Ahmed The Palestinian Ministry of Health announced that the death toll from Israeli airstrikes on the Gaza Strip has risen to 21 since dawn on Sunday. The Palestinian News Agency, WAFA, quoted the ministry as saying in a statement today, "Eight Palestinians were killed in the raids targeted Jabalia al-Balad, north of the Gaza Strip. OPEN// FM lauds ongoing progress in relations with Turkey
CAIRO, June 8 (MENA) - Minister of Foreign Affairs, Emigration and Expatriates Badr Abdelatty praised on Sunday the ongoing progress in bilateral relations with Turkey, following a series of high-level reciprocal visits between the two countries. In a phone call with Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan, Abdelatty expressed Egypt's eagerness to further strengthen economic, investment and trade cooperation, leveraging the substantial capabilities and opportunities available to both friendly nations. The call is part of regular diplomatic engagement aimed at deepening Egyptian-Turkish cooperation and exchanging views on key developments in the Middle East. The two foreign ministers discussed major regional issues, with a special focus on the escalating humanitarian catastrophe in the Gaza Strip. Abdelatty briefed his Turkish counterpart on Egypt's ongoing efforts to broker a ceasefire deal, facilitate the release of hostages and detainees and ensure the delivery of humanitarian and medical aid, as well as shelters, to the Palestinian population. They also exchanged views on developments in Libya, particularly recent events in Tripoli. Abdelatty reaffirmed Egypt's firm stance on preserving Libya's unity and territorial integrity and emphasized the importance of a purely Libyan-led political process.
