Nintendo's next big Switch 2 game is just £50 right now - but only for today
If you're looking to save some cash on one of the big Christmas games for the Nintendo Switch 2, one retailer is offering a discount well ahead of its launch.
With Mario Kart World and Donkey Kong Bananza officially behind us, attention has now shifted to what's next for the Nintendo Switch 2.
We still don't have release dates for Metroid Prime 4: Beyond or Kirby Air Riders, which are both slated for this year. The next title from Nintendo's stable is Drag x Drive on August 14 but it's a minor, digital-only release.
Beyond the Switch 2 edition of Kirby And The Forgotten Land, Nintendo's next big game is Pokémon Legends: Z-A on October 16, 2025. It looks set to be a big Christmas title, and if you're looking to save some money before the festive season hits, one retailer has your back.
At the time of writing, you can pick up the Switch 2 edition of Pokémon Legends: Z-A on ShopTo for £50.20 if you use the code 'PLAYTIME' at the checkout. It is currently priced at £52.85 on the website, but with the code, it knocks off an additional 5% from the price.
This code is set to expire after today (July 28) so you don't have long to take advantage of it. It also comes with five free Pokémon stickers of Lucario, Charizard, and others.

For comparison's sake, Nintendo is selling physical copies of the Switch 2 version at £58.99, but this does come with a figurine. Argos and Amazon, meanwhile, are selling Switch 2 copies for £54.99, so you're still saving some cash even without the code deal.
If you really want to shave off every penny you can, there is a way to get Pokémon Legends: Z-A on Switch 2 even cheaper than £50.20, provided you're fine with owning the original Switch box. More Trending
If you purchase a copy of the Switch 1 version on ShopTo with the discount code, you can pick it up for £40.70. When the game launches, you can then buy a Switch 2 upgrade pack with all the visual improvements for £7.99, which means you'll be buying the same Switch 2 version of the game for £48.69 in total.
It's a small saving in the grand scheme but when you consider Nintendo games rarely ever drop down in price, it's a worthwhile deal if you're already planning to pick up Pokémon Legends: Z-A.
Pokémon Legends: Z-A is a sequel to 2022's Pokémon Legends: Arceus. It takes place in the Kalos region's Lumoise City from Pokémon X and Y and features a real-time combat system for the first time.
We're expecting to hear more about Nintendo's upcoming slate for the Switch 2 at a rumoured Direct presentation this week, which looks set to lean heavy on third party titles.

The Chicago Air and Water Show returns in August—see who's included
Warn your pets: One of Chicago's most beloved (and most booming) summer traditions, The Chicago Air and Water Show, returns August 16 and 17. The 66th edition will feature all the high-flying, heart-pounding military and civilian stunts you'd expect, and, best of all, it's completely free. From 10:30am to 3pm both days, be dazzled as the U.S. Air Force Thunderbirds headline the action, slicing across the sky in their F-16 Fighting Falcons. They're joined by the U.S. Army Parachute Team Golden Knights, the U.S. Coast Guard Search & Rescue Demo and a fleet of crowd-pleasing performers from across the armed forces, including A-10s, C-17s, Ospreys, and KC-135s. Civilian acts round out the show with aerobatic daredevils like Bill Stein Airshow, Kevin Coleman and the Warbird Thunder crew, plus stunt biplanes, mini jets and vintage aircraft performing choreographed chaos over the lakefront. And the Chicago fire and police departments get in on the action, too, with sea rescue demonstrations and helicopter flights, respectively. The official event is Saturday and Sunday, but don't sleep on the Friday, August 15, rehearsal. For prime viewing, North Avenue Beach is the main stage, but anywhere along the lakefront delivers solid views, with the city skyline adding a cinematic backdrop. There are plenty of options to make it a full day out. Why not snag a reservation at Offshore, the world's largest rooftop (as certified by Guinness World Records), for panoramic views? Or skip the crowds at North Avenue Beach for the less populated Northerly Island or Montrose Beach. Bring blankets, snacks and sunscreen, and be ready to stake out your spot early. The city installs white and green pole markers in Grant Park for easy reference points and emergency info, so take note of your nearest one. Whether you're a local with nostalgia for the roar of jet engines or a first-timer looking to soak up one of summer's most quintessentially Chicago experiences, the Air and Water Show delivers patriotic flair, family-friendly thrills and more than a few moments that'll leave you looking up in awe.

Rebecca Loos' unexpected reaction to 'harsh' David Beckham interrogation
Rebecca Loos is about to surprise Celebrity SAS: Who Dares Wins viewers when she's interrogated about Sir David Beckham. In 2004, Loos, 48, alleged she had an affair with the footballing hero shortly after he'd moved his family to Spain after signing with Real Madrid while she was working as his Personal Assistant. More than 20 years on, the mother-of-two now lives in Norway as a qualified yoga teacher and A&E medical assistant and largely remained out of the spotlight until Beckham's 2023 Netflix documentary renewed unwanted interest in the scandal. Loos is part of the Celebrity SAS: Who Dares Wins line-up with the likes of Strictly's Tasha Ghouri, Louis Spence and S Club 7's Hannah Spearitt, and in a new trailer the controversial TV personality is shot at, punched in the face and can be seen breaking down in tears. It's all part of the course in the most challenging television show in Britain where a bunch of celebs who think they're hard as nails get taken down a peg or 10 by an elite team of ex-Special Forces soldiers lead by chief instructor Billy Billingham. He's joined by Jason Fox, Rudy Reyes and Chris Oliver to push the cars to their emotional and physical limits, and, naturally, they interrogate Loos about the accusations she threw at Beckham which he continues to deny. Speaking to The Telegraph though, Loos insisted that she remained unfazed as they grilled her about the alleged fling and was actually relieved that was the only ammo they had on her. She explained: 'I've been asked all those things hundreds of times before. It was all a bit: 'Here we go again…' 'I tried to answer clearly without giving them too much. Also, I'm one of the oldest people in there, so I have more experience with interviews and harsh questions. 'If they had asked me about more issues that are fresher in my heart, like my youngest son's diagnosis with a kind of autism just a few months before I went on the show, then they might have broken me down, got the waterworks going.' The waterworks did eventually start pouring though. In a new trailer, Loos is shown frantically driving away from a masked shooter while later she's seen with a fist to the face when the contestants are forced to battle each other in the ring without holding back. The TV personality also bursts into tears, and cries: 'I don't know if I can do this.' The end goal of Celebrity SAS: Who Dares Wins is to last as long as possible without being ordered to pack your bags by an officer or throwing in the towel first. Ahead of the first episode airing this Sunday, Loos said it was a 'good time in my life to do this'. She said: 'When I was younger I loved doing extreme things. I was finalist in Spanish Survivor where I was surviving on an island for three months in Honduras, and I've done quite a few extreme things, and adventurous shows. So I just felt like it would be really interesting to do.' Being in Norway, however, Loos was unfamiliar with SAS: Who Dares Wins and wasn't prepared for quite how challenging it would be. She admitted: 'I really wish I had spoken to somebody who had done it before. I don't live in the UK, and I don't have much contact with a lot of people from the UK, so I have never watched this programme before. 'I got to see clips on the internet, but I really wish I'd spoken to someone who'd been in there.' She continued: 'I really felt that I was the oldest and the least fit of the group and that was quite hard, which is why I guess that really ignited in me a mission to get into shape or at least get into a better shape. There was a boat challenge, when we had to blow up the boat and carry it for miles, that broke me.' Celebrity SAS: Who Dares Wins returns Sunday at 9pm on Channel 4. Got a story?
