UP's Dussehri Mango Goes Global, First Export Consignment Airlifted To Dubai

NDTV8 hours ago

Lucknow:
Uttar Pradesh's push towards boosting farm exports has achieved a key breakthrough, with 1,200 kg of Dussehri mangoes (400 boxes, each weighing 3 kg) airlifted to Dubai, an official statement said on Sunday.
Dispatched from Lucknow's Mango Pack House to Dubai-based importer Vergro Trading LLC, the USD-2,992 consignment signals a new global opportunity for the state's mango growers, it said.
The consignment was flagged off by Dinesh Pratap Singh, Minister of State (Independent Charge) for Horticulture, Agricultural Marketing, and Agricultural Foreign Trade.
Under the Indo-German AMD Project, three Farmer Producer Organisations (FPOs) from the Lucknow region were trained and empowered for agricultural export.
Among them, Irada Farmers Producer Company Limited and Malihabad Farmer Producer Company Limited have secured direct export orders for Dussehri mangoes from Dubai.
For the first time both the FPOs are independently exporting mangoes, making it a historic milestone for the state's mango growers.
"Under the visionary leadership of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, mango exports from Uttar Pradesh are steadily rising. Our goal is to help mango farmers from the state establish a strong presence in the global market. The government is extending all necessary support in terms of production, packaging, and meeting international export standards," said Singh.

Surat police uncover cryptocurrency trail in cross-border cyber scam

Surat: In a major breakthrough, the Surat Detection of Crime Branch (DCB) has unearthed an international cybercrime racket with suspected links to China, Pakistan, and Myanmar. The operation came to light after a raid at a hotel in the Mahidharpura area, where two youths from Jodhpur were arrested. The accused — Ramswarup Bishnoi and Sagar Bishnoi, both 20 — were staying in Room 409 of Janta Inn Hotel near Surat railway station. Acting on a tip-off, DCB officials detained them and seized eight mobile phones, bank account kits, SIM cards, Aadhaar cards, diaries, and other suspicious documents. Preliminary investigation revealed financial transactions amounting to several crores of rupees, including large sums in cryptocurrency (USDT). Police said the duo had travelled to Surat to procure bank account kits to be used in fraudulent online operations. An FIR has been lodged against six people — five from Jodhpur and one from Surat. Analysis of the seized mobile phones revealed each device contained up to 19 email IDs linked to various bank accounts and transactional records. by Taboola by Taboola Sponsored Links Sponsored Links Promoted Links Promoted Links You May Like Giao dịch vàng CFDs với sàn môi giới tin cậy IC Markets Tìm hiểu thêm Undo Several banking applications were installed and investigators found statements pointing to transactions running into crores. Accounts were found to be associated with several banks, including City Union Bank, Northeast Small Finance Bank, Federal Bank, State Bank of India, Bank of Maharashtra, and Ujjivan Small Finance Bank. Cryptocurrency wallets linked to high-value USDT transactions were also recovered. Police said digital evidence suggested coordination with international cybercrime syndicates operating through Telegram channels. One such group, named 'Bookkeeping Robot Ram,' was allegedly used by the network to share bank account details. According to investigators, the accused came in contact with the key conspirator, Pramod Bishnoi of Jodhpur, in Feb 2025. Pramod reportedly lured them with the promise of high returns in cryptocurrency trading and introduced them to Sanjay Gabu, a Surat-based contact who allegedly sold them 193 bank accounts. The accused then forwarded the bank kits and MPINs to Gnan Bishnoi and Shyam Bishnoi in Jodhpur, who uploaded the details to the Telegram group operated by Chinese handlers. Once money was deposited in the accounts, it was withdrawn and routed to Jodhpur via courier Vishnu Angadiya. The amount was then converted into cryptocurrency and transferred abroad using the Binance app. DCB officials have also raided multiple locations in Surat and detained additional suspects. BOX Levis-Jack and Jones products found In addition to digital evidence, DCB officials also seized branded merchandise including shoes, jeans, t-shirts, shirts, and bags from labels such as Levi's and Jack & Jones. A total of 68 articles valued at approximately Rs 2.28 lakh were confiscated. According to police, the accused admitted to purchasing these items from malls and retail outlets in Surat. They would allegedly damage the products and then contact the respective companies to claim refunds. Instead of returning the items, the accused would retain them and sell them for profit after securing the refund.

Big blow to BCCI's staff members ahead of England series as Indian Cricket Board decides to...

BCCI. (PIC - X) New Delhi: The stage is set for the upcoming 5-match Test series between India and England. This high-voltage series will begin with the first match at Headingley on June 20. Both the teams as well as cricket fans are eager to enjoy the thrill. Before this series, BCCI had taken a big decision. Actually, the Board of Control for Cricket in India has made changes in the daily allowances and travel policy for its employees. Under these changes, employees will now get a new daily allowance policy and some old allowances have been removed. BCCI took this big decision: BCCI has made significant changes in the daily allowances and travel policy for its employees. Under the old policy, employees used to get a daily allowance of Rs 15000 per day for short-term travel (up to four days) and Rs 10000 per day for long-term travel (such as related to IPL, WPL, or ICC events in India). Apart from this, a contingency allowance of Rs 7500 was also given. According to the new policy, the contingency allowance has been removed. Now employees will get a uniform daily allowance of Rs 10000 per day during travel. According to a BCCI source, the effective daily allowance after tax deduction will be around Rs 6,500 per day. Dues will be paid soon: Since the policy had to be changed, BCCI employees, including finance, operations and media departments, were not paid their daily allowances for IPL and WPL. However, now that the policy is ready, their dues will be paid soon. Regarding this, the source said, 'A clear policy was needed in the matter of allowances as some employees were claiming allowances despite working from Mumbai headquarters during the tournament. Now that the policy is ready, the dues will be paid soon.' Allowance will be given according to travel! IPL lasts for more than two months and ICC events also last for at least a month. In such a situation, if an employee is travelling for the entire 70 days for IPL, then he will be eligible to claim a total of Rs 7 lakh at the rate of Rs 10,000 per day. On the other hand, employees whose travel is limited during IPL will be eligible to claim only 60% of the 70-day allowance and employees who do not travel at all (such as those working in Mumbai headquarters) can claim only 40% of the 70-day allowance. How much is paid for foreign travel? Most BCCI employees are paid USD 300 per day for foreign tours. Honorary office bearers, including the president, secretary, treasurer, vice-president and joint secretary, receive a daily allowance of USD 1000 per day on foreign tours. Office bearers are paid Rs 40,000 for a one-day meeting within India and Rs 30,000 per day for a multi-day domestic work trip.
