Neeraj Chopra, India's javelin Olympic champion, debuted at Wimbledon 2025 men's singles final between Alcaraz and Sinner. Chopra favored Sinner, citing his drive for revenge.
The battle between Jannik Sinner and Carlos Alcaraz was going to be a firecracker of a main event, and there's very little to separate the two.
But, Neeraj Chopra admitted that being fueled by revenge would work in favour of the Italian, who he believes would oust the Spaniard at Centre Court today.
India's javelin Olympic champion Neeraj Chopra finally made his Wimbledon debut on the final day of the 2025 edition on Sunday during the men's singles final between defending champion Carlos Alcaraz and Jannik Sinner.
Clad in a grey blazer with a black shirt and stunning shades, Neeraj looked dapper in his first-ever tennis match, as he opened up on his favourite for the night.

'It's a tough question. Both players are amazing, but I think the fire inside Sinner after his French Open loss will give him a chip on the shoulder to come out on top," Chopra stated.
'Then again, Alcaraz obviously also has experience at Wimbledon. Having won it twice and defending his title tonight, I expect him to put up a mean fight."
Asked about which tennis player has inspired him the most, Neeraj was quick to take Roger Federer's name.
'Roger Federer is an inspiration of mine. The way he's performed fo well for his country, Switzerland, and then to dominate in the courts of Wimbledon, all while still being such a wonderful family-oriented man and a role model for all, it's tough not to have been inspired by him."

'Don't Let Them Distract You While They Rob Our Country Blind', Says Conor McGregor Amid Azaalia Banks Row

Banks claimed that McGregor sent her a couple of explicit images, and instead of confirming or denying the allegations, McGregor took a crack at Irish President hopeful McGuinness. Conor McGregor took to the social media platform X, formerly Twitter, to crack a political joke a couple of days after American rapper Azealia Banks exposed the combat artist for sending her unsolicited nude images. Banks had shared a couple of explicit images of McGregor, one in which the Irishman was holding weights with the caption that read, 'Lifting Weights', while the other reeked of a warning labelled 'Don't be a rat cos all rats get caught.' However, instead of confirming or denying it, McGregor chose to respond to a social media user who had alluded to the allegations after the fighter's criticism of Irish presidential hopeful Mairead McGuinness. 'Don't let them distract you with my G C while they rob our country blind," McGrogor's post read. Atletico Madrid signs American midfielder Johnny Cardoso in a 5-year deal

Atletico Madrid continues to boost its squad for next season, signing young American midfielder Johnny Cardoso from Real Betis. The 23-year-old Cardoso arrived on a five-year contract, Atletico said Wednesday. Cardoso was born in the United States but is of Brazilian descent and has an Italian passport, meaning he doesn't occupy a non-European Union slot in Diego Simeone's squad. The holding midfielder played in Brazil until moving to Betis in the 2023-24 season, where he became an important player for Manuel Pellegrini's team. Cardoso made his senior debut for the United States in a match against Wales in 2020. He has 22 caps, winning the CONCACAF Nations League in 2023 and 2024. Cardoso had to withdraw from Mauricio Pochettino's CONCACAF Nations League squad in March due to a muscle injury. Atletico on Tuesday reached an agreement to sign 24-year-old Argentina international Thiago Almada from Brazilian club Botafogo. Simeone's team finished third in the Spanish league last season, behind Real Madrid and champion Barcelona. It was eliminated in the group stage of the Club World Cup.
