Happy Father's Day 2025: Best Messages, Quotes, Wishes and Images to share on Father's Day

Time of India17 hours ago

A day dedicated to the men of the family, the dads who care for us, love us, appreciate us, and do it all in a quiet, silent manner, is Father's Day. In 2025, Father's Day will be celebrated on Sunday, June 15, as it is the third Sunday of June this year.
In India, and even around the world, Mother's Day often receives more attention than Father's Day does, but we need to understand that this day, too, should be celebrated as it is just as significant. Father's Day is the day to appreciate the role of fathers as caregivers, providers, protectors, and more, and make them feel heard, loved, appreciated, and strong.
Be it fixing a broken chair, dropping us to school, staying up all night when we're sick, or giving us advice without being preachy, a father has his own special way of showing love.
Why celebrate Father's Day
Fathers often make silent sacrifices for the family. These could be financial, emotional, or even personal, and their main aim is to ensure their children have a better life than they ever had. Whether it's working long hours or skipping their favourite restaurants to go to a pizza place, fathers do many different things.
This day should also be celebrated because not all fathers are strict, emotionless, or distant.

Dear dad, you have made my life simpler, easier, and so happy just by being with us and being present for us. I love you, Happy Father's day.
If your dad is the tech-savvy person of his friend group and always sends you messages, GIFs, and motivational links on social media, here are some messages to share with him on Father's Day.
Dear dad, good morning, I woke up early today to wish you Happy Father's day.
I love you, take care.
Dear papa, I know I have never told you I love you, and neither have you, but I like things how they are, love how comfortable I am with you, and love everything in our family. Thank you and Happy Father's Day.
Dear dad, thank you for every sleepless night you spent when I cried, thank you for carrying my school bag when I was little, paying my fees as I grew up, and loving me every step of the way.
Papa, not every feeling in the world is like this and can never be.
But I will always be your little one and love you to eternity. Happy Father's Day.
Dear dad, your life lessons are the building blocks of who I am, and I know you will continue to love and inspire me. With love, your little one.
Dear dad, you might think I don't appreciate you enough and love mom much more than I love you, but I just want to say thank you for loving me unconditionally, and I have the same for you.
Dear papa, this Father's Day and the many more to come, I hope and pray that you stand beside me, cutting a cake, and taunting me how you did not need a celebration at all.

Zodiac Signs That Always Forget Important Dates

Remembering birthdays, anniversaries, or scheduled events is not everyone's strength. In astrology, some zodiac signs naturally struggle with dates and reminders. They may have a lot on their mind, live in the moment, or simply not prioritize calendars. Let's look at the zodiac signs that are most likely to forget important dates. Pisces Pisces can be dreamy and emotional but also forgetful. They often get lost in their thoughts or emotions and may miss important appointments or occasions. They usually feel bad afterward and try to make up for it in a heartfelt way. Father's Day 2025: Date, History, and the Significance of Honouring Fatherhood

As Father's Day 2025 approaches, families across the globe are preparing to honour the unwavering support, love, and sacrifices made by fathers and father figures. This day is not just an annual celebration—it's a heartfelt tribute to the men who have guided, protected, and inspired generations. When is Father's Day in 2025? Father's Day this year falls on Sunday, June 15, 2025. As is tradition in countries like India, the United States, the United Kingdom, and Australia, the celebration takes place annually on the third Sunday of June. It's a special moment to pause and reflect on the powerful bond shared between fathers and their children. The Origins of Father's Day The history of Father's Day goes back to 1910 in Spokane, Washington, where Sonora Smart Dodd first conceptualised a day to honour fathers. Moved by a Mother's Day sermon in 1909, Dodd felt that fathers deserved a similar recognition. Her own father, a Civil War veteran, had single-handedly raised her and her siblings after the death of their mother. Determined to shine a light on paternal dedication, she proposed the idea, which led to the first official Father's Day celebration on June 19, 1910. Though warmly received, it took decades for the observance to become widely accepted. Finally, in 1972, then-U.S. President Richard Nixon signed it into law, officially recognising Father's Day as a national holiday. Since then, its influence has spread globally. The Significance of Father's Day More than just a celebratory occasion, Father's Day is a moment of reflection and gratitude. Fathers and father figures are often our first heroes—teaching lessons in resilience, discipline, honesty, and empathy. From offering life advice to standing as quiet pillars of strength, their role in shaping a child's values and ambitions is profound. Celebrating Father's Day allows us to acknowledge the irreplaceable role they play in our lives—not just through words but through acts of appreciation. How is Father's Day Celebrated in 2025? This year, Father's Day celebrations carry the same warmth and enthusiasm that they always have. While some families plan movie nights, cook his favourite meal, or gift handmade cards, others may choose to give books, gadgets, or simply spend quality time together. The day is flexible and personal, making room for heartfelt expressions—be it through a hug, a phone call, or ticking off his long-forgotten wishlist. More importantly, it's a reminder to celebrate not just the man, but the values and memories he has passed down. So, as Sunday, June 15, 2025, nears, let's take the opportunity to honour every dad, granddad, mentor, or guardian who has stood strong behind us—often silently, always steadfast. Happy Father's Day!
