Salah and Caldentey voted player of the year at 2025 PFA awards
For Salah, it marks a record third time he has won the award that is voted by his fellow professionals. The 33-year-old Egypt international scored 29 goals and provided 18 assists in the Premier League as Liverpool powered to a record-equaling 20th English top-flight championship.
Salah also collected the Football Writers' Association's Footballer of the Year award for a third time earlier in the year.
The 29-year-old Caldentey enjoyed a brilliant first season at Arsenal, scoring 19 goals in all competitions — including eight on her team's journey to lifting the Champions League trophy with a victory in the final against her former club, Barcelona.
Aston Villa midfielder Morgan Rogers was voted as the men's young player of the year, while Olivia Smith — the Canada striker now at Arsenal after a world-record transfer — won the women's equivalent after a strong season at Liverpool.

Orlando Pride signs Ovalle in women's world-record transfer: reports
Orlando Pride has signed winger Lizbeth Ovalle from Liga MX club Tigres Femenil for reportedly a women's world-record transfer fee, the National Women's Soccer League club said on Thursday. Ovalle joined for USD 1.5 million, according to U.S. media reports, signing a two-year deal with an option to extend until 2028. The 25-year-old Mexico international's transfer purportedly eclipses the USD 1.3 million Champions League winner Arsenal paid to sign Canadian forward Olivia Smith from Liverpool last month. Premier League clubs break window record: Transfer spending crosses £2.36 billion
The Premier League's transfer spending spree reached record levels with more than a week of trading to go as promoted Leeds United signed AC Milan forward Noah Okafor for a reported £18 million ($24.17 million) on Thursday.
