Cooler Master Announces North American Availability of MasterFrame 500 Mesh
LOS ANGELES, July 29, 2025--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Cooler Master, a global leader in innovative thermal solutions and PC hardware, today announced North American availability of the MasterFrame 500 Mesh, a premium open-frame ATX chassis built for extreme cooling and straightforward customization. Developed under Cooler Master's FreeForm 2.0 design philosophy, it gives builders the structure, airflow, and files they need to tailor the frame to their vision.
The chassis features an exposed exo-structure, mesh panels for stronger airflow, support for Mini-ITX to E-ATX motherboards, and GPU clearance up to 390 mm. ARGB and non-ARGB versions both ship with dual SickleFlow 200 mm front fans and a 120 mm rear fan. With room for up to eight fans and two 360 mm radiators, the platform is ready for high thermal loads, silent tuning, or both.

WASHINGTON - U.S. President Donald Trump has increased tariffs on Canada to a staggering 35 per cent but a critical carveout is likely to shield most goods from the devastating duties. The White House has said the tariffs won't be applied to goods that are compliant with the Canada-U.S.-Mexico Agreement on trade, also known as CUSMA. Here's what that means for Canadian companies: What is CUSMA compliance? CUSMA was negotiated during the first Trump administration to replace the North American Free Trade Agreement. Companies can claim preferential treatment under CUSMA if they meet its rules of origin. While it is different depending on the product, generally it requires a specific amount of the goods be made of products or with labour originating from Canada, Mexico or the United States. About 80 to 90 per cent of Canadian goods might be able to comply with CUSMA's rules of origin, said Michael Dobner, the national leader of economics and policy practice at PricewaterhouseCoopers Canada. Not all exporters have filed the necessary paperwork to avoid the duties. There's been an increase in businesses claiming preferential treatment under CUSMA but it's not clear exactly how much of Canadian exports are currently compliant. Are any industries more at risk? Dobner said there's no specific industry that he expects to be hit the hardest. Certain companies may not be able to source input materials from North America to make their product. That means they would not be able to apply for preferential treatment under CUSMA and will face the 35 per cent tariff. But Dobner said 'it's the minority of the exports of Canada to the U.S.' What's the impact on small and medium-sized businesses? Small and medium-sized businesses may have not applied for CUSMA preferential status before Trump's tariffs because the process can be burdensome for enterprises of that size. Some small and medium-sized businesses might not meet CUSMA rules of origin requirements and don't have the financial flexibility to change their inputs to North American products. Dan Kelly, president and CEO of the Canadian Federation of Independent Business, said many of these businesses were absorbing some or all of the costs associated with Trump's tariffs under the assumption that there would a resolution coming. (TOKYO: 4204) (President: Keita Kato; hereinafter 'SEKISUI CHEMICAL') announced that, in response to the global trend of tighter regulations regarding perfluoroalkyl and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS) and growing demand for reducing environmental impact, the Urban Infrastructure & Environmental Products Company (President: Yoshiyuki Hirai) had been developing a new technology for PFAS-free pipe materials for ultrapure process applications in the manufacturing of advanced semiconductors. As a certain level of progress has been established in the development of this technology, SEKISUI CHEMICAL will start to formally propose it to customers. 1. Background In the semiconductor and flat panel display (FPD) industries *, the ultrapure water being used needs to be supplied without lowering its water quality. However, in Europe and the United States, studies are being conducted to comprehensively subject PFAS to regulation. Together with other initiatives, there is a global trend of tighter regulations regarding PFAS. 3. Chronology of Development As a pioneer of plastic piping materials, SEKISUI CHEMICAL launched 'Eslon Clean Pipe'—a hard PVC pipe material for transporting ultrapure water—in 1984. Since then, supported by an impressive track record, the product has been used in a wide range of applications. This time, a special olefin resin pipe material has been developed as a new low-elution material replacing fluorocarbon resins from the perspective of PFAS. In November 2022, a demonstration using an actual ultrapure water manufacturing system was started jointly with Kurita Water Industries Ltd. Compared to existing fluorocarbon resin pipe materials, this special olefin resin pipe material can reduce CO 2 emissions during manufacturing by approximately 80%. Furthermore, in response to the global trend of PFAS regulation, SEKISUI CHEMICAL started working on developing PFAS-free pipes and fittings for ultrapure process applications. 4. Future Prospects With the establishment of this PFAS-free technology, SEKISUI CHEMICAL will start to formally propose it to customers and will aim for market launch within fiscal 2026.
