New snow map: A messy storm is headed to Mass. See the latest timeline, expected snowfall totals

Massachusetts is in for a 'parade of storms,' starting with some snow on Tuesday night followed by a more impactful storm that could cause a 'sloppy mess' for the Thursday morning drive to school and work.
The first disturbance the Boston 25 Weather team is tracking is an ocean storm on Tuesday night that will track south of New England. While most of Massachusetts will stay dry, the South Coast, Cape Cod, and the Islands could see some snow.
In her Tuesday morning weather blog, meteorologist Shiri Spear said the South Coast and Cape Cod may see a coating of snow, while Nantucket and Martha's Vineyard have the best chance for a coating to 1 inch of snow.
'You have to be really far south to have that chance for anything sticking,' Spear said in her latest forecast.
Another storm will pass through soon after, with snow developing between 10 p.m. Wednesday and midnight Thursday. The snow is expected to fall for a few hours before a flip to a wintry mix of sleet, rain, and freezing rain come Thursday morning.
'We've got a few hours of snow and then it flips to rain and freezing rain, probably by 6 or 7 o'clock in the morning,' Spear said. 'The snow accumulation we get overnight is going to be turning to slush. It also means we get a chance for some slippery travel.'
The Boston 25 Weather Team issued a WEATHER ALERT for Thursday morning due to the chance for slippery and icy travel conditions.
A snow map shared Tuesday by Spear showed the possibility for 2-5 inches of snow for some points to the north and west, while eastern and southeastern Massachusetts could see 1-3 inches of snow. The Cape and the Islands are expected to have no more than 1 inch of snow.
The storm will clear out by the afternoon. The weekend will then bring another chance for unsettled weather.
'Valentine's Day is going to be cold and dry, but keep your eyes on the weekend for another storm!' the Boston 25 Weather team wrote in their blog.
Boston 25 Chief Meteorologist Kevin Lemanowicz said Monday that it appears the 'parade of storms' will continue beyond the seven-day forecast into the extended winter weather outlook.

Worcester city officials warn of elevated E. Coli levels after wastewater overflows into storm drain

Worcester City Officials are warning the public of an elevated risk of E. Coli levels after wastewater was discharged onto the streets. Officials say that on Friday morning, around 11:07 AM, the city encountered a sewage overflow in the area of 65 Lake Avenue. Around 470 gallons of untreated wastewater was discharged from an underground pipe and onto the street. An immediate response from city crews was able to stop the leakage around 12:41 PM and ensure that the sewer system was operating normally. However, during the wastewater leak, some of it had made its way into some of the storm drains, which ultimately drains to Lake Quinsigamond. The city is now advising the public of a possible elevation to E. Coli levels near the areas of the discharge. Officials say that they will be conducting daily testing until levels return to normal ranges. This is a developing story. Check back for updates as more information becomes available. Many major roads in Mass. town left impassable after strong storm blows through

Many major roads in a Massachusetts town were left impassable Friday morning after a powerful storm blew through, toppling trees and utility poles. The National Weather Service issued a severe thunderstorm warning for parts of Middlesex and Worcester counties, including Ayer, around 7 a.m. Shortly after the warning was issued, police in Ayer reported that multiple trees and wires were blocking roads around town. "Multiple roads are impassable," the Ayer Police Department wrote in a Facebook post. In a subsequent post, police warned motorists that roadways into town from the east and north were blocked by downed trees and live wires, noting that Sandy Pond, Central Avenue, East Main Street at the rotary, and Groton Harvard Road were all closed. A Boston 25 News photographer captured drone video from the Ayer rotary that showed a massive cluster of trees resting across the roadway and multiple utility poles leaning over. 'Some neighborhoods will see increased cut-through traffic. Please be patient and courteous,' police advised. 'Many resources are being brought in to help make the roads safe for passage and get the electricity turned back on.' Police said a tractor-trailer trying to use Oakridge Drive as a cut-through route got hooked on wires and brought down poles. There was no immediate word on when the closed roads would reopen. There is a risk of strong storms in the region throughout the afternoon to sunset. Drake And PARTYNEXTDOOR Announce Summer 2025 Overseas Tour '$ome $pecial $hows 4 U'

Drake and PARTYNEXTDOOR have one of the most popular projects of the year, and now they're bringing the function overseas. The duo recently announced a joint tour, $ome $pecial $hows 4 U, with stops in Europe and the United Kingdom. They let the world know they'll be hitting the road once again via Instagram in a collaborative post with the Drake Related page earlier this week. Their string of performances will kick off with the 6 God's three-night headlining set at Wireless Festival in London, England, from July 11th to July 13th. Drizzy will be joined by PND and Summer Walker the first night, 'The Mandem' on the second, and Burna Boy and Vybz Kartel on the final evening. Given his affinity for UK rappers and previous collaborations with Central Cee, Dave, Skepta, and more, it is easy to assume who will be part of 'The Mandem' joining him for the second Wireless Festival show. They'll then take a quick break before making stops in Birmingham, Manchester, Amsterdam, Stockholm, Copenhagen, Milan, Paris, and Berlin. The tour will end in September with two shows in Hamburg, Germany. Tickets go on sale this Friday (June 6) on either or This will be Drake's second tour of 2025, following his trek through Australia back in February. The Anita Max Win tour went viral several times for him sporting a hoodie with bullet holes that had smoke coming out of them, and him making several speeches about the fact that he is 'still alive' despite all he endured in 2024 with the rap beef versus Kendrick Lamar and other rappers. The tour was unfortunately cut short due to scheduling conflicts, but the 38-year-old artist promised Australia that he wouldn't let another decade pass by before coming back to perform. PARTYNEXTDOOR joined him down under right around when they released their joint album $ome $exy $ongs 4 U on Valentine's Day. $$$4U is a 21-song effort that debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 and spawned the Billboard Hot 100 No. 2 hit 'Nokia.' The LP featured Pimmie, Yebba, and Chino Pacas. Listen below.
