After teaming up with Blunt, 51, to sing the 2004 track "Goodbye My Lover," Sheeran, 34, took to Instagram to share footage of the moving performance and share with his fans why the cameo from Blunt means so much to him.
Revealing that he was just 13 years old when he saw Blunt perform live at the exact same stadium while opening for over twenty years ago, Sheeran recalled being instantly "obsessed" with Blunt's music.
"My dad took me to Cambridge junction to see him months after, and he became my favourite singer songwriter," Sheeran wrote of Blunt. "His songs moulded me, his performing inspired me."
Sheeran said he "wanted to be" just like Blunt so much that he even went on to sign with the same management and record label as Blunt, and the pair have now been friends for "well over a decade."
Sheeran, who is even a godfather to one of Blunt's sons, said the "You're Beautiful" singer is one of his "close mates" now, which is why he asked him to perform at his final show in Ipswich on Sunday night.
"I asked him to do the final night at ipswich because of that gig 21 years ago where I saw him at the same venue," Sheeran recalled. "And I asked him to sing my favourite songs of his tonight, because he, and the song, mean so much to me."
He then told Blunt, "Thank you James for coming today. I know you finished your South American tour two days ago, and you should be resting, but you flew to ipswich to sing with me. And it meant the world."
The "Shivers" singer said his duet with Blunt is now in his "Top 3 favourite moments on stage of all time." He concluded his post by adding, "Don't meet your hero's, unless your hero's are James blunt. Love you mate xx."Ed Sheeran Brings Out Early '2000s Icon in Surprise Concert Moment first appeared on Parade on Jul 14, 2025

Unlikely Hollywood Duo Reacts to Romance Buzz After Steamy Onscreen Pairing originally appeared on Parade. and Pamela Anderson are creating serious buzz around Hollywood not just for their upcoming Naked Gun reboot but also for whispers of a potential off-screen romance. The two stars played coy about their relationship status during a recent appearance on Today, where host Craig Melvin didn't waste any time asking the question on everyone's mind. 'What's the deal here?' Melvin asked during the July 29 episode. 'You're both single right now. There's clearly chemistry on display throughout this film. Are you two an item?' 'Craig!' Neeson replied with mock outrage, while Anderson feigned confusion and pretended not to understand the question. 'I had never met Pamela before. We met on set. And we discovered we had a lovely, budding chemistry — as two actors,' the Taken star explained. 'It's like, 'Oh, this is nice. Let's not mold this. Let's just let it breathe.' And that's what we did.' Melvin replied, 'We're watching the beginning of the breathing of a budding relationship. America's here for it, we're here for whatever this turns into.' The chemistry between Neeson and Anderson has also been evident in their red carpet appearances, and the Baywatch alum previously gushed about working with him. 'We have a connection that is very sincere, very loving,' Anderson said, per The Times. 'The chemistry was important.' Neeson, who joked that his favorite part of filming Naked Gun was 'the sex scenes,' added that Anderson was 'funny, incredibly sexy' and that their chemistry 'came naturally.' While neither of them have yet to officially confirm the dating rumors, fans are all for the two becoming an item. 'I would love for this to be true. Liam seemed so broken and sad after Natasha died. Pam seems like a lovely person who has had horrible taste in men. This could be both unexpected and lovely for them,' one Redditor wrote. The action star was previously married to actress Natasha Richardson before she died in a tragic skiing accident in 2009. Since then, he's remained single and focused on raising their two sons, Micheál and Daniel. Anderson was famously married to Mötley Crüe drummer Tommy Lee from 1995 to 1998, and they also share two sons. 🎬 SIGN UP for Parade's Daily newsletter to get the latest pop culture news & celebrity interviews delivered right to your inbox 🎬 Unlikely Hollywood Duo Reacts to Romance Buzz After Steamy Onscreen Pairing first appeared on Parade on Jul 29, 2025 This story was originally reported by Parade on Jul 29, 2025, where it first appeared. Charlie Wernham Breaks Silence After Robbie's Heartbreaking 'Hollyoaks' Exit

Charlie Wernham Breaks Silence After Robbie's Heartbreaking 'Hollyoaks' Exit originally appeared on Parade. Hollyoaks fans are in mourning after todays episode of the hit soap opera aired in the U.K. as it was confirmed that after 12 years, on and off the show, Robbie Roscoe (played by the fan favorite Charlie Wernham) was killed off. Now the actor has spoken about returning to the show, when he found out his exit storyline, and what he has coming soon. After weeks of speculation, viewers worst fears were confirmed, and it was revealed that the Robbie Roscoe they had been seeing in Jez (Jeremy Sheffield) was a figment of his imagination and that Robbie was yet another of Jez's victims. Wernham spoke with Digital Spy about his recent experience on the show. When Wernham returned to the soap last year it was only meant to be a short stint. 'At first I was only meant to do three months – that was why Robbie went off screen the first time, back at the start of last year. I had a job that was going to go ahead but then it didn't, so my diary became available.' The actor shared how the show approached him about returning again explaining, 'Hannah Cheers, who's the producer of Hollyoaks, said that she'd love to have me back for another 12 months. It was quite a big thing to relocate again, as I've got a life down here in Essex, so I said that it would probably only be for the year." When asked about his feelings about the current exit storyline, Wernham shared, 'The thing is, I never thought I'd be returning to the show in the first place. I just thought that too much time had gone by – and I was really busy doing other things anyway. I've now had a brilliant 15 months and I've done it exactly how I wanted to do it.' With that said, while the door appears to be closed with Robbie' s death, Wernham jokingly adds that this may not be the last time we see his character sharing, "I think that'll probably be it for Robbie, but then again Clare was dead and she's now back. Loads of people have died and come back. So is Robbie dead? Who knows? It's Hollyoaks! Wernham explained how he found out about what his exit storyline was going to be, sharing, "Si Wall, who's a producer on the show alongside Hannah, told me about it very cagily. He didn't know what my reaction was going to be, because it's all a bit bonkers when you say it out loud! It was a lot to take in!" The actor continued, "I sat with it and thought about it. Afterwards, I said that we really had to make the audience believe that Robbie was alive in that shed. Once the flashback and big reveal happens, you're only as strong as the set-up. So they did that well, I think!" 🎬 SIGN UP for Parade's Daily newsletter to get the latest pop culture news & celebrity interviews delivered right to your inbox 🎬 The actor teased that what he is currently working on, 'I've got a few things that I'm working on at the minute – just my own projects, really. I did a short film of my own last year, so I'm trying to look at directing as well. I've got a few things lined up with that, which is something I've always been interested in.' But that doesn't mean he is done acting, Wernham added, "I'm also back auditioning – I'm back out there. It's always sad when a job finishes, because you're saying goodbye to people that you like and a character that you like. Hollyoaks streams globally on YouTube at a one week delay. Wernham's last episode will be streamed globally on August 13.
