Hollywood star Brie Larson to release party-themed cookbook
Brie Larson is set to release a party-themed cookbook.
The 35-year-old actress has joined forces with best friend and chef Courtney McBroom to create 'Party People', their new cookbook that they'll release later this year.
The Hollywood star told People: "Through [our friendship], we've thrown many parties together. We have a really solid group of girlfriends, and whether it's been road trips or at someone's house, parties, whatever, we're really good at celebrating. And part of it is because we love doing it.
"It's not just about the food. It's about knowing how to cook things confidently so that you can enjoy your party … the recipes are based off of those things so you can maximise time with your guests and not feel like you're the one stuck in the kitchen while everybody else is having fun."
'Party People' will feature more than 100 recipes and party ideas - but Courtney insists 'Party People' isn't a conventional cookbook.
She said: "It doesn't have to be hard. You don't have to do a ton of work to bring all of your friends together and your loved ones and to surround yourself with community. And that was one of the main things we wanted to do, is make sure we were helping people do that."
Meanwhile, Brie previously revealed that she hopes her work helps people to "feel less alone".
The movie star also explained that she's felt more free to express herself over recent years.
Brie told The Talks: "As I have gotten older and I have had the courage to speak out, I realised that the things that are inside of me, the things I am most afraid of, everyone is and I feel a sense of inner freedom by expressing it.
"By relating to people like yourself, you can go, 'Yeah. You are also crazy. I felt that, too.' What I am looking for in this world is a sense of not feeling alone, and that's one of the greatest gifts you can give to another person. I hope that my work does that. I hope that when people leave the theatre they feel less alone."

Tom Daley speaks out about his father's death as he admits he 'didn't know who to turn to'
Tom Daley "didn't know who to turn to" when his dad died. The 31-year-old Olympian lost his father, Robert, to a brain tumour more than a decade ago, but he is sure that his dad is still "supporting" him with everything as he goes on in his life and career. He told People: "When he was gone from my life, I didn't really know who to turn to or who to talk to about lots of things. "There wasn't really anyone that would bring it out of me, because my dad was always someone who kind of knew exactly what I was thinking and how I was feeling and knew how to fix it. "He supports me all the way, and if I didn't have his support system, I wouldn't be here now 'cause I wouldn't want to carry on." Tom has sons Robbie, six, as well as two-year-old Phoenix with his husband Dustin Lance Black, and recently admitted that losing his dad was one of the "most difficult" things he has ever had to go through but still takes inspiration from his dad when it comes to his parenting style. He said: "I model lots of my parenting and lots of the things that I do every day around what I learned from my dad. He my biggest cheerleader. He was there for every training session, every competition, and he was a huge part of my life, day in, day out. "Losing him was one of the most difficult things that I ever had to deal with." Yet I was dealing with that in a very public way in the U.K. Looking back on all of that footage was quite challenging to watch because I felt really sorry for the younger Tom that I kind of was just carrying on and putting on a brave face, and I didn't ever want to bother anyone with how I was feeling because I didn't want to ever make anyone else feel uncomfortable." Tom has discussed his life and career at length in the new documentary, Tom Daley: 1.6 Seconds' but admitted that he initially had reservations about speaking about such personal things on camera. He said: "I wasn't sure about doing it initially. You know what? This is something that I would love to be able to then show my kids in the future and be able to be like, 'Look, this is what Papa did. This is the thing that Papa was doing day in, day out' And the things that I did, and be able to get to know the relationship I had with my dad and all of that stuff."

Deborra-Lee Furness and Hugh Jackman's finances split
Hugh Jackman and Deborra-Lee Furness have begun formally separating their shared $596 million fortune as part of their divorce proceedings. The transaction was recorded on May 25, two days before 68-year-old Furness filed for divorce from Jackman, 55, following 27 years of marriage. According to property records reviewed by People, a limited liability company (LLC) tied to Furness paid $US11.7 million ($A18 million) to the LLC the couple had used when they acquired a Manhattan penthouse in New York 2022 for a reported $US21 million ($A32 million). The home is now valued at around $US23 million ($A35 million), with the Real Deal first to report the sale. The couple's luxury apartment, located in a landmark architect-designed building in Chelsea, spans nearly 500 square metres across two floors, with an additional 350 square metres of outdoor space. The property is one of several high-value homes acquired by the pair during their nearly three-decade-long relationship. Jackman and Furness reportedly still own homes in New York's West Village, the Hamptons, a waterfront condominium overlooking Bondi Beach in Sydney, as well as other properties in the US, UK and Australia. In September 2023, they confirmed their separation in a joint statement. "Our family has been and always will be our highest priority. We have been blessed to share almost three decades together as husband and wife in a wonderful, loving marriage," it said. "Our journey now is shifting and we have decided to separate to pursue our individual growth." Since then Jackman has been linked to US actress Sutton Foster, his co-star on the Broadway play The Music Man. In May, Furness issued a separate statement discussing the emotional impact of the split. "My heart and compassion goes out to everyone who has traversed the traumatic journey of betrayal. It's a profound wound that cuts deep," she said. "However, I believe in a higher power and that God or the universe, whatever you relate to as your guidance, is always working for us. "That belief has helped me navigate the breakdown of an almost three-decade marriage." According to The Daily Mail, a source claimed Jackman was "blindsided" by the comments and "extremely disappointed", alleging there had been "an unwritten understanding that she would not trash him to the press". As of May 30, the couple had reportedly reached an agreement to divide their estimated $US387 million ($A596 million) fortune. Hugh Jackman and Deborra-Lee Furness have begun formally separating their shared assets as their divorce progresses. The transaction was recorded on 25 May, two days before 68-year-old Furness filed for divorce from Hugh Jackman, also 55, following 27 years of marriage. According to property records reviewed by People, an LLC tied to Furness paid $11.7 million to the LLC the couple had used when they acquired a Manhattan penthouse in New York 2022 for a reported $21 million. The home is now valued at around $23 million, with the Real Deal first to report the sale. Hugh and Deborra's former luxury apartment, located in a landmark starchitect-designed building in Chelsea, spans nearly 5,000 square feet across two floors, with an additional 3,700 square feet of outdoor space. Situated near the Hudson River, the area is known for its distinctive architecture and celebrity residents. The property is one of several high-value homes acquired by the pair during their nearly three-decade-long relationship. Hugh and Deborra reportedly still own residences in New York's West Village, the Hamptons, a waterfront condominium overlooking Bondi Beach in Sydney, as well as other properties in the US, UK and Australia. They met on the set of the Australian TV series Correlli in 1995 and married on 11 April 1996. The pair adopted their son, Oscar, now 24, in 2000, and their daughter, Ava, 19, in 2005. In September 2023, they confirmed their separation in a joint statement shared with People, saying: 'Our family has been and always will be our highest priority. Deborra added: 'However, I believe in a higher power and that God or the universe, whatever you relate to as your guidance, is always working for us. 'That belief has helped me navigate the breakdown of an almost three-decade marriage.' As of 30 May, the couple had reportedly reached an agreement to divide their estimated $387 million fortune. Deborra's court filings stated the divorce was uncontested and required only judicial approval to be finalised.
