Deborra-Lee Furness and Hugh Jackman's finances split

The Advertiser08-06-2025
Hugh Jackman and Deborra-Lee Furness have begun formally separating their shared $596 million fortune as part of their divorce proceedings.
The transaction was recorded on May 25, two days before 68-year-old Furness filed for divorce from Jackman, 55, following 27 years of marriage.
According to property records reviewed by People, a limited liability company (LLC) tied to Furness paid $US11.7 million ($A18 million) to the LLC the couple had used when they acquired a Manhattan penthouse in New York 2022 for a reported $US21 million ($A32 million).
The home is now valued at around $US23 million ($A35 million), with the Real Deal first to report the sale.
The couple's luxury apartment, located in a landmark architect-designed building in Chelsea, spans nearly 500 square metres across two floors, with an additional 350 square metres of outdoor space.
The property is one of several high-value homes acquired by the pair during their nearly three-decade-long relationship.
Jackman and Furness reportedly still own homes in New York's West Village, the Hamptons, a waterfront condominium overlooking Bondi Beach in Sydney, as well as other properties in the US, UK and Australia.
In September 2023, they confirmed their separation in a joint statement.
"Our family has been and always will be our highest priority. We have been blessed to share almost three decades together as husband and wife in a wonderful, loving marriage," it said.
"Our journey now is shifting and we have decided to separate to pursue our individual growth."
Since then Jackman has been linked to US actress Sutton Foster, his co-star on the Broadway play The Music Man.
In May, Furness issued a separate statement discussing the emotional impact of the split.
"My heart and compassion goes out to everyone who has traversed the traumatic journey of betrayal. It's a profound wound that cuts deep," she said.
"However, I believe in a higher power and that God or the universe, whatever you relate to as your guidance, is always working for us.
"That belief has helped me navigate the breakdown of an almost three-decade marriage."
According to The Daily Mail, a source claimed Jackman was "blindsided" by the comments and "extremely disappointed", alleging there had been "an unwritten understanding that she would not trash him to the press".
As of May 30, the couple had reportedly reached an agreement to divide their estimated $US387 million ($A596 million) fortune.

Jason Momoa believes it's his 'destiny' to tell the story of Hawaii

Jason Momoa believes it's his "destiny" to tell the story of Hawaii. The Aquaman star explores his Hawaiian heritage in new Apple TV+ series Chief of War - which tells the story of the unification of the islands at the turn of the 18th century - and he is convinced the stars have aligned to bring him to a place in his career where he could show the lives of his ancestors onscreen. He told PEOPLE: "I feel like this whole thing has chosen me in a way, like this is my destiny," he says. "I have no idea how I got to all this, but we're here, and I'm very grateful. I'm living my dream doing what I love to do. To play my ancestors is such a responsibility. It's scary and exciting." Jason added: "My dad is a coach at an outrigger canoe club, which is where I learned how to surf. "Just this morning, the sand pulled back and revealed massive petroglyphs [ancient carvings] right in the place where I grew up. It's kind of insane. I've never experienced that before." The actor also got the chance to write and direct while working on the show and he has insisted he's finally get the chance to show a different side to himself. He told the Metro newspaper: "It's my heart and soul. This has been in me my whole life. I'm ready. Put it on me. " I feel like I've been mismanaged and people don't really know who I am, since the beginning, so now I finally get a chance to [show] 'No, I can direct and write'." Jason went on to applaud bosses at Apple for taking a chance on a show about Hawaii's history, adding: "It's a bold thing to do. "I think Apple had a lot of trust in us, because there's nothing to prove it against. No one's ever heard the language. There's a lot of actors that have never been seen before. It's a lot ... "There's a lot of change and a lot to bring back of a culture that was … Our language is banned from us and we're getting it back. A lot of our art … We're part of America and I don't think anyone really knows anything about us. "[We] really have to celebrate Apple for just taking on something that's this big, and putting the trust in me ... "

Furness ‘moving on with A-list actor' after Jackman divorce

Deborra-Lee Furness is moving on from now ex-husband Hugh Jackman and is reportedly 'swooning' over old friend John Travolta. The 69-year-old finalised her divorce in June after 27 years of marriage, and despite previous claims that she wasn't looking to get back out into the dating scene, an old friend may have changed her plans. A source told RadarOnline that Furness' long-time friend has been her rock through the turbulent split. 'If anyone can sweep Deb off her feet, it's going to be John. She's already swooning over him,' the source told the media outlet. John Travolta. The insider also claimed that friends have been telling Furness she deserves someone better than Jackman, with Travolta possibly being that someone. Travolta was previously married to Kelly Preston for 29-years before her tragic passing in 2020. Hugh Jackman and Deborra-Lee Furness in 2018. The pair said in a joint statement at the time of their surprise split that they had been 'blessed to share almost 3 decades together as husband and wife.' Despite the split being described as amicable, rumours swirled after Furness hinted towards Jackman's 'betrayal', leading speculators to believe their shock divorce came as a result of the Wolverine actor cheating on her with Sutton Foster. Jackman and Foster, who starred together in The Music Man on Broadway in 2022, have since gone public with their relationship - only adding fuel to the rumour flame.
