Saudi Actress Sarah Taibah Fronts Loewe's First-Ever Ramadan Campaign

CairoScene09-02-2025
Featuring shimmering metallic accents, the Ramadan-exclusive lineup reimagines the brand's signature bags—like the Puzzle, Flamenco, and Squeeze—in dazzling new textures.
Loewe is ushering in a new era this Ramadan with its first-ever collection dedicated to the holy month—and who better to front the campaign than Saudi actress and filmmaker Sarah Taibah? Taibah brings a natural ease and refined presence to the Spanish fashion house's Ramadan debut, titled the 'Silver Capsule Collection'.
The collection is all about fluidity, elegance, and a hint of shimmer. Loewe's most-loved bags get a Ramadan makeover; the Puzzle bag appears in luxurious vetiver crocodile, the Flamenco clutch and Squeeze bag take on metallic textures and intricate beading. The ready-to-wear selection is just as dreamy with silky belted pajamas, soft nappa leather sets, and ethereal silk dresses that make dressing up (or dressing down) effortless. From the soft draping of a robe on her figure to the gleam of a metallic handbag she carries, Taibah shines as she models these pieces, embodying a sense of occasion with soft elegance.
The creative direction also follows the rhythm of Ramadan itself. The campaign plays with the idea of time: a vintage wooden clock's pendulum sways back and forth, reflecting the slow anticipation of the day's fast and the fleeting joy of the night's gatherings. A jigsaw puzzle, a nod to both the Puzzle bag and cherished family traditions, subtly connects the dots between Loewe's Spanish roots and the cultural nuances of Ramadan.

Egyptian Label Heiza Studios Creates Garments With Cerebral Layers

Egyptian Label Heiza Studios Creates Garments With Cerebral Layers What does it take for a garment to truly stand out? There is a fine balance between an item of clothing being so explicitly peculiar that it detracts conversations, and an item being plain, mass-produced, and not worth noting. In between the two, there are collections of garments that simply scaffold a conversation. They're there, but they don't need to be addressed. These are the type of garments that Egyptian brand Heiza Studios crafts. While you might not know it, there's a good chance you've seen Heiza worn - not only by fashionable friends, but also by Egyptian celebrities. I mean, Heiza even worked with Egypt's 'Number One'; they prepared Mohamed Ramadan's wardrobe for his Ramadan show 'Madfaa Ramadan'. They also custom made a wool silk half-zip sweater for Egyptian rap icon Wegz for a 2024 Liv Golf show in Riyadh. For both celebrities and regular customers, Heiza adopts a tailored approach to their collections. Each individual peace is made by the Heiza team of three tailors - and one wood artisan - either to a set size or for custom measurements, which you can simply specify when ordering from their website. The tailoring team brings the dreams of Ismail Heiza, the founder, creative director and designer of Heiza, to life. 'Heiza is all about transforming ideas into tangible expressions,' Ismail Heiza tells Scene Styled, 'It's more than just aesthetics; we believe our designs to be a powerful tool for communication, innovation and inspiration.' After graduating from University of the Arts in London, Heiza set out to create a creative studio where his heritage of craftsmanship can be honoured alongside modern design technologies. As a result, Heiza has a look that is both futuristic and grounded. 'We push the boundaries of what's possible while staying true to our roots.' Heiza's most prized collection is 'Cortex', which Heiza describes as 'an exploration of the human brain's evolution and its interconnectedness across civilisations and eras.' This collection is meant to jumpstart synapses and get ideas to flow, spanning clothing, jewellery, bags, furniture and even a set of original short films, all directed by the Heiza founder. Each piece in Cortex is crafted to portray how Heiza imagines iconic thinkers' brains to be. 'Each piece in the collection is crafted from materials that aren't usually combined, shaped with intricate artistry to inspire curiosity. It's a journey through layered design and cerebral storytelling.'

This way, your companion drink can last at least, let's say, 15 minutes longer? Besides being much more satiating, the glass bags are environmentally friendly - which is a convenient excuse to use when people who just don't get it accuse you of being a coffee fiend.
