Inside Wimbledon star Sonay Kartal's life from relationship with bodybuilder to meanings behind tattoos

SONAY KARTAL is enjoying an ink-redible Wimbledon and is rising up the rankings.
The 23-year-old was down at No.259 ahead of last year's tournament at the All England Club after a health battle left her hospitalised.

But a fantastic year in which she has won her first ever WTA Tour title and made at least the third round of Wimbledon will see Kartal climb into the world's top 50.
Off the court, she has been in a relationship with bodybuilder Luke Ogbourn.
He bought her flowers after she made the first round at SW19 last year.
Though it is unclear whether they are still an item as Ogbourn has not been spotted at Wimbledon this year and traces of their relationship have disappeared from social media.
Kartal was born in London but grew up in Brighton alongside her sister and brother.
She is of Turkish descent and her dad used to own a "kebab takeaway" and "sit down restaurant" serving food from his country.
Kartal boasts an incredible tattoo collection and she has lifted the lid on their meanings.
She told SunSport: "I got a bee. I kind of left it to my sister. She was like, 'will you get matching tattoo with me?'

"I went and played my match and she came back like, 'I've got one.' Didn't tell me what it was and I kind of had to get bee.
"My most special one is my first dog, a golden retriever. When he passed away I got doggy ink and did his paw print downsized.
"The eagle is because Kartal means eagle in Turkish.
"The date, it says 2022, I did all the four Grand Slams, my first time.
"The knuckle ones just trying to be stylish maybe.
"The snake, I was just scrolling through my phone and saw that one as well."

She also has quotes "the show must go on" and "time is everything we have and don't" inked onto her body.
Kartal explained: "It's just a quote I like to live by. Sometimes I think I can get a bit stressy and stuff, so for me, it kind of just tells me to calm down and just to be in the moment a little bit."
Asked if a Wimbledon tattoo could be next, she replied: "I'm pretty open to maybe.
"Not a strawberry, but I'd get something that is not so obvious that means Wimbledon but something that if you know Wimbledon, you'd know what it is.
"Growing up, I was the type of person I'm never going to get a tattoo. I never really liked them.
"And then I got one when I was on holiday. Now I've got like 14."
Kartal grew up training alongside Emma Raducanu.

Mums need to stop wearing leggings, there is nothing sexy about them and they are ruining your confidence, stylist says

IT'S an outfit donned by mums worldwide on a daily basis. But according to one stylist, there's "nothing sexy" about leggings and a jumper - and "nothing about the look that makes you feel good about yourself" either. 4 4 4 4 Clodagh is a personal stylist, who helps "empower" women through their wardrobe choices, and documents the journey in videos on her YouTube and TikTok pages. In a recent episode of The Clo's Show, she met up with mum-of-three Lesley, to help her get out of her style rut, and express herself with her outfits. "I'm a stylist and I work with women every single day that suffer with their style confidence because they have been wearing this uniform of leggings," she began. "Are you over 40, feeling meh and still stuck in leggings?" Clo wrote over the top of a TikTok clip of the installment. "Watch Lesley ditch her leggings and get her confidence back!" Lesley admitted she was "so stuck in the mindset of the leggings" that she just stuck them on in the morning before the school run. But when Clo started to show her some other wardrobe options, she began to realise that she would be a lot more confident wearing something else. And as an added bonus, Lesley already had all the clothes she needed in her wardrobe. In the first outfit, she wore a pair of wide-legged black trousers and white slogan T-shirt, as she said: "I feel great. I feel very comfortable. "It's actually nice to be out of the leggings!" "So what would stop you in the morning from not wearing this to drop the kids off or go to work in?" Clo asked Lesley. "Look how happy Lesley was by just getting out of those leggings and putting on a plain pair of black wide leg pants that she bought in Tesco," she added. "Look at the difference they make for her confidence!" "The beauty of this is not only did Lesley not spend a penny, but her confidence has been elevated through the roof and she now understands how easy it is to put fab outfits together and how easy it is to mix and match her stuff," Clo added in the description for the YouTube video. People were quick to comment on the video, with many agreeing with Clo's fashion analysis. "I refuse to have leggings, tracksuits, baggy tops in my wardrobe," one wrote. Styling tips for women 50+ Our Fabulous Fashion Editor Clemmie Fieldsend shares her top tips... GET A BRA FIT: Underwear is the foundation to every single outfit, so make sure your bra is the correct fit. If you're off to a good start you'll finish with a great outfits. EMBRACE COLOUR: Bright colours will lift your skin tone and will give you glowing skin. INVEST IN GOOD BASICS: You'll need your essentials like a good pair of straight leg jeans, white shirt, white t-shirt, black blazer and well made black shoe. You can't go wrong with rotating them when you don't know what to wear. AVOID SHAPELESS: Hiding your figure under shapeless silhouettes is doing to date you and make you look frumpy. Try fitted clothes that aren't figure hugging - you need to be able to breathe. EXPERIMENT: Try different items you wouldn't usually go for and mix them with what you already have. The results can mean a better dressed and more confident you. "I love to wear nice clothes daily - and it's cheaper than people think." "Yes!!!" another said. "It's all about how you feel and being in an outfit that makes your feel put together regardless of what you're doing." "I'm 43 and I stopped wearing leggings a few weeks now," a third commented. "I've a bit of a belly and skinny legs so I looked like Mr Tayto, so stopped wearing them as I felt leggings made my stomach look bigger."

Anthony Joshua and promoter Eddie Hearn lead a star-studded royal box at Wimbledon amid talk of long-awaited Tyson Fury fight

A smiling Anthony Joshua put talk of a potential fight with Tyson Fury to one side as he took his place in Wimbledon 's royal box on Friday. Alongside boxing promoter Eddie Hearn, Joshua led a star-studded box which also featured presenter Gary Lineker, TV chef Mary Berry and astronaut Tim Peake. The boxing duo got an invite for a bumper day of action on Centre Court, where Joshua will see Emma Raducanu take on women's world No 1 Aryna Sabalenka. Joshua has not been in the boxing ring since he was knocked out by Daniel Dubois, back in September. The 35-year-old had elbow surgery in May and is looking to make a return to the ring at some stage later this year. While there is a great deal of excitement around Joshua's return, his next fight still appears unlikely to be Fury. Anthony Joshua was in high spirits as he headed to Wimbledon's royal box on Friday morning Saudi Arabia's boxing kingpin Turki Alalshikh recently announced that Fury will make a spectacular return to boxing next year. Alalshikh said that Fury has given him his word that he will step back in the ring, which has since sparked speculation of a third showdown with Oleksandr Usyk. Fury hung up his gloves in January - for the fifth time in his career - a few weeks after losing to Usyk in a rematch for the unified heavyweight world titles. The Gypsy King, 36, has insisted that his retirement is for good but in April he fuelled hope of a comeback after linking back up with his trainer SugarHill Steward and there remains hope that a Battle of Britain bout against Joshua could eventually come to pass.
