‘Take my money' – Kilmarnock fans split on new Hummel kits and homage to club's most ‘unique international moments'

Click to share on X/Twitter (Opens in new window) Click to share on Facebook (Opens in new window) IT is a topic which always seems to split opinion and the launch of the new Kilmarnock strips is apparently no different. The Premiership club has revealed its home and away kits for the 2025/26 season, with mixed reviews on social media from supporters. The Hummel strip is in traditional Killie blue with white stripes "infused with the delicate artistry of Ayrshire lace". The 1906 crest is "to honour the legacy of the team's early years and status as the country's first provincial football club." Meanwhile, the club says the away kit is a tribute to the strip they wore 30 years ago in the 1995 South Korea Cup. They were one of eight teams in Seoul playing in a week-long tournament in the summer, which included South Korea, Costa Rica and a Rio XI from Brazil. It is described as "the club's most unique international moments." The strip is a half-and-half design featuring a deep blue and bright red with "subtle Hummel chevrons integrated throughout" and red shorts and socks. And fans were quick to post their views about the new strips. One fan said: "Absolutely unreal away kit, definitely better but both belters." A second added: "Great strips. Think I've still got the original half and half from way back!" Another commented: "Take my money". Stuart Kettlewell reveals if he regrets quitting Motherwell in exclusive first interview But it just shows you cannot please everyone. Someone else said: "Think for the first time with Hummel, I'm underwhelmed. "Usual badge would look much better on the home kit, too." Another added: "I'm not being funny but they are both dreadful." A third said: "A bit of a let down for me." Keep up to date with ALL the latest news and transfers at the Scottish Sun football page

The Chase's Anne Hegerty goes from Governess to Fairy Rose in exciting career move

Anne Hegerty has been known as the Governess on quiz show The Chase since 2010, but now she is set to take on a new role in Scarborough Spa Hall. Known best for her role as the headstrong Governess on ITV's The Chase, Anne Hegerty is now set to swap her TV persona for the theatre stage as she has been confirmed to be reprising an exciting role over the festive period. It has been announced on X that from December 6, the 66-year-old will once again take on the role of The Fairy Rose in Scarborough Spa's production of Beauty and the Beast. The show is set to run until January 1, 2026. ‌ "Back by popular demand", Anne will be transforming into the Fairy Rose at Spa Hall in Scarborough, reports the Express, who is otherwise known as the Enchanted Rose in the 1991 film. ‌ The post said: "We are delighted to announce that back by popular demand for Beauty and the Beast will be The Governess, Anne Hegerty! Keep your eyes peeled for MORE star names to follow." Anne is not the only star to be revealed in the poster, as singer Jake Quickenden is also revealed to be playing the role of the villainous Gaston in the festive production. ‌ This certainly isn't Anne's pantomime debut, as she had previously showcased her talents in a 2014 production of Cinderella at the Grange Theatre as the Wicked Stepmother. She then went on to play the Empress of China in Aladdin and Carabosse in Sleeping Beauty. Speaking about how she kick started her career in the panto world, Anne shared that she was contacted by a theatre producer after she set up an X account. ‌ She told the Swindon Advertiser in 2022: "I did panto [but] I was really fairly terrible the first time. I was technically bad, I used to miss cues, so I stumbled through it. Then I got offered more and I've been doing it ever since. "I enjoy doing the panto, it's a chance to act and a chance to sing, a chance to act, a chance to be funny more than one gets in The Chase. ‌ "This year I'm Fairy Flutterby, I'm not strictly a villain, I do turn the Beast into the Beast, but I was only doing it to teach him a lesson." Anne has also teased fans about possibly venturing into acting, as last year she revealed a fellow quiz show colleague had written a sitcom role specifically for her. ‌ Chatting on the 'A Very Tall Man' podcast, she said: "I'd love to be on a TV show or a film. I know various people who are trying to get things off the ground," and "One of them is the guy on The Chase, he's written a sitcom with a part for me." She went on to express excitement about the project, saying: "It would be brilliant to get that made." However, while Anne seems to be excited about scripted roles, she has ruled out the idea of returning to reality TV. After her appearance on I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here! in 2018, she said: "The jungle is about as big as you can get. Everything else is a bit of a step down. I don't want to do another reality show unless it involves something I want to get better at. I think I'm done." Join the Daily Record WhatsApp community! Killie manager's job a 'dream' for Pascali

Could Manuel Pascali return to Kilmarnock one day as manager? The Italian certainly doesn't rule it didn't fancy throwing his hat in the ring this time - before Stuart Kettlewell was appointed Derek McInnes' successor - as he spends time honing his managerial craft at Italian fifth-tier side ACD Sant'Angelo 1907, where is currently the future, though, the former captain says returning as manager would "clearly" be a dream come approach to achieving this dream, though, is a patient one. He wants to have the experience behind him to be a success. Pascali, who joined Killie in 2008 and made more than 200 appearances in a seven-year stay, told BBC Scotland: "I always thought that - we call it gavetta [to come up through the ranks] - the experience is crucial for everything."We've seen so many young managers being thrown in positions where they found difficulties that you're not expecting from a player point of view. Because as a player, even if you are old, you can see things, you organise things, you work for your manager as well, but being on the bench is a completely different job."So I always follow dreams, I always have dreams in my head and one is clearly to maybe one day come back and sit on that bench."But first I need to gain experience because the one thing I don't want to do is maybe come to that job and not be ready."So I would love to have that chance later on where I feel I have enough experience to deal with things and be ready."Pascali is eyeing a return this summer to play in former team-mate Rory McKenzie's testimonial - if he gets an invite."One day I would love to be back at Killie, because I never played so many years for a single team and I have sweet memories," the 43-year-old added."So we're going to see what's gonna happen, but I always check, I'm still in touch with Rory."I'm happy to see him gaining the chance to organise his testimonial year, but I'm still waiting for his invitation for his testimonial game."So I would be glad to play that part because I'm still keeping fit with having two young boys, and you never know if you'll see me around Rugby Park this summer."Hear more from Pascali on the latest episode of the BBC's Scottish football podcast.
