NEET UG 2025: The National Testing Agency (NTA) has launched a platform to report suspicious activities related to the upcoming NEET UG 2025 exam. The move comes as part of the agency's efforts to combat unfair practices such as unauthorized access to exam papers, impersonation, and misleading claims made by fraudulent individuals and websites. This initiative is in line with the Public Examinations (Prevention of Unfair Means) Act, 2024, aimed at safeguarding the examination process and protecting the interests of genuine candidates.
The initiative supports the Public Examinations (Prevention of Unfair Means) Act, 2024, which seeks to eliminate unfair practices in public exams and safeguard the integrity of aspirants' futures. Candidates can report suspicious claims through the platform until 5 PM on May 4, 2025.
Categories of suspicious claims
The NTA has outlined the following categories to report:
Unauthorized websites or social media accounts claiming access to NEET UG 2025 papers.
Individuals falsely claiming to have access to NEET exam content.
Impersonators pretending to be NTA or government officials.
The EOU had previously announced cash rewards for individuals providing information about those involved in the NEET paper leak and other similar cases.

NEET UG 2025 exam details
The NEET UG 2025 exam is scheduled for May 4, 2025, from 2 PM to 5 PM. Exam city slips are available, and admit cards will be released by May 1. The admit cards will include detailed exam center addresses, instructions, and other key information.

In a related development, the mastermind behind the

, Sanjeev Mukhia, has been arrested by the Economic Offence Unit (EOU) of Bihar Police. The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) also participated in the questioning of the accused.

Three arrested for sexual assault on minor girl
The All Women Police, Kancheepuram, have apprehended a 22-year-old youth and two schoolboys for sexually assaulting a 16-year-old girl in a village near Kancheepuram. Police sources said the girl was studying at a government school and had discontinued her schooling. She was reportedly working at a beauty parlour. The trio befriended her. On Sunday, they spiked her drink and gave it to her. While she was intoxicated, they sexually assaulted her, the police said. Later, her parents lodged a complaint with the police. She was given medical assistance and counselling. A case was booked under the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act. The 22-year-old youth was remanded in judicial custody and the two boys were sent to Government Observation Home.

2 Boys, Man, Allegedly Sexually Abuse Class 11 Girl In Tamil Nadu
Chennai: Two boys have been apprehended and a man has been arrested for allegedly sexually abusing a girl who has completed class 11 in the Kancheepuram district of Tamil Nadu. The boys were friends of the 16-year-old survivor and are students of classes 8 and 9. The incident took place in a park. The police said the accused gave the girl a spiked drink, but an investigation is underway. The Kancheepuram District Police have registered a case under the stringent Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act, 2012. This comes amid a spurt in cases of sexual offences against women in Tamil Nadu. However, police argue that survivors are coming forward to report every such violation due to increased awareness. Law Minister Reghupathy recently said the stringent action being taken and recent convictions in sexual assault cases have given confidence that there would be justice, with punishment to perpetrators.

616 child labourers rescued in 5 years: Gujarat govt
Gandhinagar: On the eve of World Day Against Child Labour, which will be observed on Thursday, Gujarat govt said that in the past five years, 616 children engaged in child labour were rescued in the state, and fines worth Rs 72.88 lakh were imposed against those employing children for various tasks. "In Gujarat, to combat the menace of child labour, the labour commissioner's office conducted over 4,800 raids in the last five years, rescuing 616 children and collecting fines exceeding Rs 72.88 lakh from such units employing them," an official statement said. Between Jan 2020 and April 2025, 4,824 raids were conducted across the state, freeing 455 child labourers and 161 adolescent workers, totalling 616. During this period, 791 criminal cases were filed against offenders under provisions of the law and 339 FIRs were registered. Under the Child Labour Prohibition and Regulation Act, 1986, employing children up to the age of 14 is banned for any type of work. For adolescents aged 14 to 18 years, there are provisions banning employment in hazardous occupations and employing them in non-hazardous jobs. The statement said that after amendments in 2016, the act is now known as the Child and Adolescent Labour (Prohibition and Regulation) Act. It said that Gujarat is the only state to amend provisions of the act, and violators can now face imprisonment ranging from six months to two years or fines between Rs 20,000 and Rs 1 lakh. Repeat offenders can face imprisonment of up to three years.
