May 17—GRAND FORKS — The North Dakota Highway Patrol and state Bureau of Criminal Investigation have jointly issued a silver alert for a missing woman from northeast North Dakota.
The alert was issued Saturday, May 17, at the request of the Pembina County Sheriff's Office, according to a release sent to the media. The alert is for Jean Morrison, 79, of Walhalla, North Dakota. The release gives her description as a 5-5 white woman, 130 pounds, with dark brown hair and hazel eyes.
She was last seen at 5:38 a.m. at Walhalla Oil, driving a 2012 Black Chevy Cruze with Minnesota license plates LXY743. She was wearing a black jacket and blue jeans, and traveling with a small black and white dog.
She is considered a vulnerable adult.
Anyone who might have information about Morrison is asked to contact the Pembina County Sheriff's Office at 701-520-0548.

MONTGOMERY COUNTY, Mo. – A Texas woman reported missing four months ago was found dead earlier this week in Montgomery County, Missouri, authorities say. The Montgomery County Sheriff's Office reports that a 37-year-old woman – who was reported missing from El Paso, Texas, on Feb. 5, 2025 – was found deceased in a vacant building. The sheriff's office did not disclose the woman's name. Investigators say the woman's body was found around 8 p.m. Tuesday in the 400 Block of Booneslick Road after two individuals alerted authorities to the discovery. The woman's cause of death has not yet been determined and a forensic examination is pending. 'Our thoughts and prayers are with the family and loved ones of the deceased during this very difficult time,' said the Montgomery County Sheriff's Office via Facebook. The investigation is described as 'active and ongoing,' and additional details are limited at this time.
