Preston is the son of Katelynn and Jaelen Ordone, who are known for their viral "Okay Baby" TikTok account. On the day of the crash, Louisiana State Police shared a press release stating that the vehicle Preston was traveling in, a 2011 Ford F-150, 'veered off the roadway to the right and struck a tree,' noting that the cause is 'still under investigation.'

The release stated that the driver and front passenger, who were 'both properly restrained, sustained serious injuries and were transported to a local hospital.'
However, police state that Preston was seated in the rear but 'improperly restrained in a child safety seat.' He was transported to a local hospital, but tragically 'later succumbed to his injuries.'
On Sunday, April 27, two family members shared a video to Katelynn's social media accounts, detailing their version of events. They noted that Ordone's older daughter Paisley was thankfully not in the car at the time of the crash.

'Their truck veered to the right off the interstate and struck a tree and unfortunately Preston didn't make it,' said a woman identified as Brielle.
As for Katelynn and Jaelan's injuries, Brielle added, 'Katelynn and Jaelen are severely injured. Katelynn has multiple broken bones. She had a very bad concussion. She walked for the first time today. Jaelen had to have emergency surgery on one of his legs. He has rods, pins in them. They're both at different hospitals.'
Preston was known as the 'Okay Baby' with his videos going viral on TikTok and Instagram. He loved to say 'okay' to Katelynn before then going to do the opposite of what she had asked. Videos of him jumping into mud and puddles garnered millions of videos and likes. Katelynn has amassed 163,000 followers on Instagram and nearly 394,000 on TikTok.
On April 30, Katelynn spoke out on her son's death on social media, while thanking her followers for their support.
"I wanted to try to come on here and give y'all an update, because I have been hearing about all the love and the support that y'all have been giving,' Katelynn began in the clip shared on Tuesday, April 29.
"It means so much to us in a time like this," she added in the clip, which was also posted on TikTok.
A GoFundMe page set up on the family's behalf has raised more than $30,000 of its $50,000 goal.
