The 14-time Grammy winner shared that the podcast "has done a lot" for her. "I owe a lot to this podcast. This podcast got me a boyfriend ever since Travis decided to use it as his personal dating app about two years ago," Swift quipped, referring to Travis calling her out on New Heights in July 2023. He attempted to give Swift a friendship bracelet, which are shared at her concerts, with his phone number on it. Jason, 37, asked if the friendship bracelets were that good. "Did you give the friendship bracelets or was that just on the podcast?" The "Cruel Summer" singer said she never got it, joking that Travis threw a "man tantrum" over not being able to see her. Swift teased Travis for his disappointment when he tried to meet her at her Kansas City Eras Tour show. "This dude didn't get a meet and greet and he's making it everyone's problem," she quipped. "That's what I thought at first... You realize he didn't even reach out to our management. He came with Pat [Mahomes] and he thought that because he knows the elevator lady, that he could talk to her about just getting down to my dressing room."She also likened Travis' act to something from "an '80s John Hughes movie," alluding to Say Anything. "He was standing outside of my window with a boombox saying, 'I want to date you! Do you want to go on a date with me? I made you a friendship bracelet! Do you want to date me?" During an episode of New Heights two summers ago, Travis told Jason about his failed attempt to give Swift his phone number on a friendship bracelet. "I was disappointed that she doesn't talk before or after her shows because she has to save her voice for the 44 songs that she sings," Travis said at the time. He added that he was "butthurt" for not getting the opportunity to pass along his phone number on the bracelet. "I received a bunch of them being there, but I wanted to give Taylor Swift one with my number on it." Travis jokingly concluded that he "took it personal." Swift and Travis began dating in summer 2023 and have been supportive of each other's respective careers. Also while on New Heights on Aug. 13, Swift announced her 12th album The Life of a Showgirl and gave viewers a peek at the tracklist and artwork for the record, coming out Oct. 3. Man Upset After Brother Brings New Date on 10-Day Family Trip Without Telling Anyone

The man says his brother brought a woman no one had met to their 10-day family trip without telling anyone NEED TO KNOW A man says his brother brought a date to their family vacation without warning The woman clashed with the group over drinking, complaints and behavior She left halfway through the trip, and now the man's brother wants him to apologize A man turns to the Reddit community for support following a tense family vacation that took a turn when his younger brother brought an unexpected guest. The cabin trip was meant to be a 10-day getaway for close relatives and significant others, but one last-minute decision changed the entire dynamic. He explains that his oldest brother brought his wife, 'who we've all known basically forever,' along with their baby. He says he brought his girlfriend, and his sister brought her boyfriend, adding, 'This was all communicated when the trip was originally booked,' and that both non-married partners already knew the family. His younger brother, however, was single when the plans were made and 'never mentioned bringing anyone.' That's why it came as a surprise when 'the day we all arrive at the cabin he has this woman with him' — a woman no one had ever met before. The man refers to her as Jill and says his brother invited her 'last minute.' According to him, 'I guess they'd been on a few dates, he'd mentioned he would be out of town and then suggested she come and she agreed.' Initially, he feels irritated about a stranger joining their family trip, but others react differently. 'My sister and sister-in-law thought it was great… This is a great chance to get to know little bro's potential new GF,' he recalls. His girlfriend also notices the awkwardness but ends up being 'roped into operation let's get to know Jill' despite agreeing with him that the situation is 'odd and annoying.' Any goodwill Jill had didn't last long. He says she quickly 'squandered all of her good will with her attitude and her copious drinking.' She reportedly consumed 'a lot of alcohol that she didn't pay for' and made his older brother and sister-in-law uncomfortable. By the fourth day, 'everyone minus little bro was sick of Jill.' His older brother tries to talk to him about it, but he 'became very defensive' and instead asks everyone to 'just try to be nice to Jill and avoid her when possible.' The situation worsens when Jill begins complaining about the baby. 'She complained constantly about my niece, that she cried all night (not really) and kept her awake,' he writes. At that point, he says, 'I hit my limit and said my niece was actually supposed to be here, unlike her.' Jill responds that if they don't want her there, 'maybe she should leave.' Before anyone can respond, his girlfriend jumps in. 'If that's what you want to do, you should do it,' she tells Jill. Little brother asks Jill to stay, but she turns to the group and says, 'Does anyone else want me to stay?' When no one answers, she leaves with him for the airport. When he returns without her, the younger brother is 'annoyed with me for my comment.' OP fires back, 'This was his fault for not talking to any of us about this woman ahead of time.' He also questions his brother's decision. 'I asked why he invited someone he seemed to barely know,' he says, to which his brother replies that he 'didn't want to be the only single person on the trip.' Their sister steps in and tells them to stop fighting, which they do, but 'it was tense the rest of the trip.' Now, weeks later, his older brother is asking him to apologize to smooth things over. 'Older brother has asked me to apologize now that the trip is well in the past,' he explains. 'He said he agrees with me, but it would help bury the hatchet.' The man admits he doesn't feel he should apologize and wants to know what others think. 'I don't think I should apologize, but what does Reddit think?' he writes. He also finds Jill's choice to attend the trip odd from the beginning. 'If I was a woman, and I was invited by an admittedly cool dude to spend ten days with three strange men and three strange women, I would not want to do that,' he says. He tells his girlfriend it's 'a HUGE indicator of something being off with her.' She agrees. He adds that even in his position, he wouldn't accept such an invitation. 'Honestly, even as a man, I wouldn't take that offer,' he says, 'but yeah, I think it's especially weird that a woman did.' Now, the family is left dealing with lingering tension from a trip that was meant to bring them closer together. Read the original article on People Solve the daily Crossword

'Knees of a 15-year-old': Smiling soccer star Müller begins new chapter with Vancouver Whitecaps

If Thomas Müller's offensive output on the soccer pitch can rival the charm offensive on display at his first Vancouver Whitecaps' news conference, the German legend will be worth every penny of the millions the team is shelling out to sign him. Appearing happy and relaxed in downtown Vancouver the morning after his arrival at YVR, the 35-year-old played for laughs from the podium, fully at ease speaking both English and German. He joked about learning to say "soccer" instead of "football," took a question from the German caterer working the event, did goat impersonations into the microphone and boasted that the hard artificial turf at B.C. Place Stadium — considered by some players to be career-shortening — is no match for his ageless athlete's body. "My body feels, even at this stage of my career, too good to retire," he said, flashing a wide smile. "My knees are like the knees of a 15-year-old... Normally, with this kind of turf, it's good for the passing... to have nice combinations, quick combinations, it's sometimes better than [real grass] turf." Nice passing, goals and assists are exactly what is expected of Müller, who could see game action as early as Sunday when the Whitecaps host Houston. His unparalleled resume includes 13 Bundesliga titles with Bayern Munich, the only club he has ever played for up until now. In 2014, he helped Germany win the World Cup, four years after earning the golden boot as top scorer at the 2010 World Cup. He said coming to Vancouver — "one of the best cities in the world" — is nice, but he's more interested in adding to his trophy case. "I played so many years at Bayern... it was time for an adventure. But an adventure for me is only interesting when it's having a chance to go for titles. If you watch the Vancouver Whitecaps this season, and the development in the last season, there is a chance," he said. Müller's move is also headline news in Germany, witnessed by the contingent of more than half a dozen reporters who have travelled to cover his arrival. According to Philipp Hinze, Sky Germany soccer reporter, fans back home were surprised that Müller chose Vancouver as his landing spot after leaving Bayern Munich. "It's not the U.S., it's Canada. It's not Los Angeles or New York, it's Vancouver," said Hinze. "If I'm honest, in Germany, it's a very small club. We don't know a lot about the Whitecaps." Hinze believes Muller, even in the sunset of his career, will bring excitement to the Whitecaps and Major League Soccer. "Age is just a number, especially in football. He's not the fastest, his technical abilities are not the best. He's not like a Messi or Ronaldo, but he's such an intelligent player," said Hinze. "He'll play as an attacking midfielder behind the striker. So he can play left, play right, play deep, score goals, kick some assists. He will be the X-factor for the Whitecaps." Team officials say Müllermania has seized the city since the signing was announced last week. "We have never sold so many jerseys in such a short time," said Axel Schuster, Whitecaps sporting director. "Our ticket sales for all the remaining home games of the season have spiked, and the game on the weekend is sold out." The Whitecaps sit second in the MLS West conference standings with nine regular-season games remaining.
