OPEN// Sisi exchanges Eid al-Adha greetings with Arab, Muslim leaders
CAIRO, June 5 (MENA) – President Abdel Fattah El Sisi exchanged Eid al-Adha greetings with kings, presidents, and emirs of Arab and Islamic nations, the presidency said on Thursday.
In his messages, Sisi extended heartfelt felicitations and warm wishes to his counterparts and their peoples, expressing hope that God would accept their prayers and grant continued stability, progress, and prosperity to their countries and to the Arab and Islamic nations.
Sisi also sent his greetings to Egyptian Muslims abroad, conveyed through Egypt's embassies and consulates worldwide, wishing them a blessed and joyful Eid.
The president received Eid Mubarak greetings from senior state officials, who conveyed their best wishes for Egypt's continued development, prosperity, and well-being.

2,215 inmates freed per Eid al-Adha presidential pardon
CAIRO – 6 June 2025: The Ministry of Interior said it had released 2,215 inmates from correctional and rehabilitation centers per a presidential pardon issued to mark Eid al Adha 2025. The move comes as part of a decision by President Abdel Fattah El Sisi to pardon the remainder of prison sentences for certain inmates who met the conditions for presidential amnesty during the Eid. Families of the freed inmates expressed joy at their relatives' changed behavior and thanked the president for giving them a second chance to reintegrate into society. As part of the holiday celebrations, the Interior Ministry also held Eid prayers in rehabilitation centers, The ministry said the initiative reflects its commitment to providing comprehensive care to inmates and implementing measures to reintegrate rehabilitated inmates into society.

Interior Min. Participates with Citizens in Celebrating Eid al-Adha
Taarek Refaat Police officers from various security directorates joined citizens in celebrating Eid al-Adha, taking to the streets and squares to offer their congratulations and distribute flowers to passersby and motorists. This comes within the framework of the Ministry of Interior's strategy, one of whose main pillars is to activate the societal role of all security sectors and engage citizens in celebrating various occasions. This contributes to deepening the bonds of trust and strengthening the connection between police officers and citizens. The Ministry of Interior held Eid al-Adha prayers at correctional and rehabilitation centers for inmates. The events were attended by a number of Islamic and Christian clerics who joined the celebrations and congratulated the inmates, expressing the solidarity and connection among the Egyptian people. ِAlso, the Community Protection Sector convened committees to review the files of inmates nationwide to determine those eligible for pardon for the remainder of their sentences.
