Last week, K-pop singer Ailee (에일리) and former 'Single's Inferno' contestant Choi Sihun (최시훈) finally tied the knot. The couple held a lavish wedding ceremony attended by close friends and family, where the singer went viral for her three outfit changes and a rendition of Beyoncé's 'Love On Top', dedicated to her new husband.
According to Korean media reports, the newlyweds are embarking on a ten-day honeymoon, with stops in Dubai and the Maldives. It appears the reports were accurate, as the couple have recently shared glimpses of their travels abroad. Here are the photos:
Over the weekend, Ailee shared two carousel posts on Instagram featuring photos from the first day of their ten-day honeymoon, with Dubai as their first stop. 'Day 1 💜 🍯🌙 w. @choi_hun2. Honeymooning in the desert,' she captioned the first post. In one candid moment, the vocalist appeared surprised, perhaps caught off guard as her husband snapped photos while they walked back to their room at the Terra Solis Dubai hotel.
The first carousel also featured a selfie of the newlyweds and a glimpse inside their room at the ultra-luxurious resort in the desert. In a follow-up carousel post, Ailee shared photos of the couple relaxing by the pool, sunbathing, sipping on fresh coconut drinks and indulging in mouth-watering meals. Seoul named favourite city by Gen Z, millennial travellers worldwide

A night view of Seoul. - Photo: Seoul Metropolitan Government SEOUL: South Korea's capital city Seoul which has recently gained further global attention from the success of Netflix's 'KPop Demon Hunters,' was named the world's most beloved city by travellers aged 25 to 40 for the fourth consecutive year, according to results from the 2025 Trazees. The Seoul Metropolitan Government and Seoul Tourism Organisation announced Wednesday (Aug 20) that Seoul won the award for favorite worldwide city, as determined through the votes of readers of the US-based travel media outlet, Trazee Travel. Dublin came in second, followed by Hong Kong and London. The Trazees travel awards, now in their 11th year, were hosted by FXExpress Publications, the parent company of the travel magazine, the Global Traveller. This year, 804,482 voters participated. Seoul's repeated recognition is a reflection of the city's growing global appeal, driven by the worldwide spread of Korean culture, as well as the city's mix of traditional and modern attractions, its digital-based, smart tourism infrastructure and its reputation as a leading destination for meetings, incentives, conventions and exhibitions, according to Seoul officials. After receiving the award, the city emphasised its plans to continue developing tourism content that resonates with younger generations, expanding its marketing efforts to highlight Seoul's charms, but also providing 'stylish and immersive travel experiences that Generation Z and millennial visitors look for' when travelling. In February, Seoul was ranked as the best city for solo travel by Tripadvisor. It was also recognised as the best city for meetings, incentives, conventions and exhibitions by Global Traveller for a 10th consecutive year in December. According to the Union of International Associations in July, Seoul ranked first in Asia and third worldwide among 1,034 cities for its performance in hosting international conferences. 'With its blend of tourism, business, culture and the arts, Seoul will continue working to be a city that people around the world would grow to love,' said Seoul Tourism Organisation CEO Kil Ki-yon. - The Korea Herald/ANN

Jack Neo's new music video features AI-generated image of Lee Kuan Yew

The AI-generated image of Lee Kuan Yew appeared in the final scene of Jack Neo's music video for the song, 'We Are Singapore'. Photos: Jack Neo/Instagram Singaporean filmmaker Jack Neo has created a new music video in conjunction with the month of National Day, using artificial intelligence (AI) technology to recreate images such as the appearance of Singapore's founding prime minister Lee Kuan Yew and his voice. Neo, 65, posted the music video for the song, We Are Singapore , on social media on Aug 18. Referring to Prime Minister Lawrence Wong's National Day Rally speech on Aug 17, Neo wrote in Chinese: 'The speech by PM Wong yesterday once again reminded us of the importance of unity among Singaporeans. With this in mind, I would like to share with you a belated SG60 song. Although it was not released on National Day, August remains the month of National Day. It's not too late to express this gesture.' Neo said in an interview with Chinese-language evening daily Shin Min Daily News that it took him about a month to complete the entire song. 'I wrote the lyrics myself, taking two to three weeks to conceptualise them. The arrangement, composition and vocals were generated by AI,' he added. 'The biggest challenge was that AI generated many versions of the song – each of which sounded great – so I had to choose the one I was most satisfied with. I chose this version because it resonated with a more Singaporean feel.' In an interview, Jack Neo says that he would continue to use AI to create songs as well as incorporate AI technology into film production. The AI-generated image of the late Lee appeared in the final scene of the music video. Neo used AI to recreate the iconic voice of Lee, who said: 'I wish Singapore a happy 60th birthday. Happy birthday.' Neo said he believed many people would not forget the contributions made by Lee to Singapore. 'Singapore is now celebrating SG60 with happiness, and I always feel that the nation's prosperity, progress and global standing are inseparably linked to his tireless efforts back then,' he said. 'Using AI to have him join us in the celebration feels very meaningful to me.' Neo also incorporated AI-generated images of historical footage, faces of artistes such as himself, Terence Cao, Collin Chee and Dawn Yeoh, as well as Singapore's Cabinet ministers in the video. 'Actually, what I hoped for was to use AI to generate a version where several Singaporean singers who are well-known internationally, including Stefanie Sun, JJ Lin, A-do, Kit Chan and Tanya Chua, singing this song together,' Neo said. 'I think that would be very interesting, more perfect and and more meaningful.' The filmmaker said he had tried using AI to generate images of these singers and the results were quite good. However, he decided not to use them as he has not sought permission from the singers and due to the tight production schedule. View this post on Instagram A post shared by Jack Neo Ck (@jackneock) Neo's music video received different reactions on social media. Some netizens praised him for his innovation and courage in using AI for the video, while other netizens questioned if it was disrespectful to use Lee's AI-generated image. Neo told Shin Min that he would continue to use AI to create songs as well as incorporate AI technology into film production. He had done so for his most recent movie I Want To Be Boss, which opened in Singapore cinemas in January. He believes that AI will assist humans in many areas in the future, but humans will still be in control. 'Many people are afraid of AI, but I don't think there is a need (to fear it). AI won't replace humans. The only ones who will be replaced are those who don't know how to use it.' – The Straits Times/Asia News Network
