Two Notre Dame football stars, Drayk Bowen and Jaiden Ausberry, host a youth camp
The pair hosted the inaugural Jr. Irish Football Camp in Butler, Indiana, giving some of the local youth some high-level instruction as reported by WANE15's Josh Ayen. It comes after star running back Jeremiyah Love did the same for the South Bend community.
It's pretty great to see the current players using their platform to show that they aren't just making plays on Saturday, but that they genuinely care about the next wave of college football stars. Notre Dame continues to show that they not only recruit great players, but great young men as well.
They all understand what Irish football means to the state, and while they are just about to start fall camp, they still have enough time to host an event like this. While this was the first one, hopefully this is the beginning of an annual tradition where Bowen and Ausberry are giving back to the kids.

Notre Dame Drops New Logo With Leprechaun Carrying Football
Football teams are constantly dropping new jerseys and helmets. Well, now they're dropping new logos. Notre Dame unveiled a new logo for the 2025 college football season on Thursday morning that features a leprechaun carrying a football. The leprechaun in a fighting stance has traditionally been the mascot logo of Notre Dame since the 1960s, with a gold "ND" being the acronym logo. Of course, a leprechaun has long been the school's mascot. This new logo is specific to the football program but the school stated that it plans to release sports-specific marks for all its varsity sports. The Fighting Irish are coming off a 14-2 campaign, headlined by them reaching the National Championship and making the College Football Playoff for the first time in four years. No. 6 Notre Dame opens the 2025 season with a pair of ranked matchups, those being a Week 1 road game against No. 10 Miami (FL) and a Week 2 home game against No. 19 Texas A&M. It named redshirt freshman CJ Carr its starting quarterback earlier this week. The Fighting Irish are entering their fourth complete season with head coach Marcus Freeman (he coached the final game of the 2021 season). Want great stories delivered right to your inbox? Notre Dame quarterback CJ Carr shares what he learned from Riley Leonard
New Fighting Irish starter shares what he learned last season CJ Carr, who was recently named the starting quarterback for the Notre Dame Fighting Irish ahead of the 2025 season, learned from his predecessor, Riley Leonard. Carr said that the biggest thing he learned from Leonard, who is now a rookie with the NFL's Indianapolis Colts, is the need to be highly invested in one's teammates. Carr also mentioned learning a similar lesson from Sam Hartman, who was the quarterback for the Irish in 2023 before graduating and being drafted by the Washington Commanders. If that lesson translates into strong leadership both on- and off-the-field, as well as strong working relationships with teammates, especially on offense, that would be one more reason why Carr was selected to start after a long competition with Kenny Minchey. Notre Dame will host 5-star 2027 South Carolina cornerback when they host Texas A&M
Rivals No. 1 CB in five-star Joshua Dobson has visits set to Clemson, Notre Dame and South Carolina. He talks about each program here: The list of elite prospects visiting Notre Dame for its contest against Texas A&M just got bigger on Thursday. On3's Steve Wiltfong is reporting (subscription required) that 5-star South Carolina cornerback Joshua Dobson will be making an unofficial visit between the top-25 combatants. The 6-foot, 1-inch and 175-pounder also has set up trips to see Clemson and South Carolina early in the season, as it looks like the Irish are chasing the reported leader Tigers in his recruitment. Dobson is one of the top players in the country regardless of position, as he's ranked as the No. 5 overall recruit in the 247Sports Composite. He made multiple visits during the spring, but didn't get a chance to check out South Bend. The Irish made their offer to him in mid-March during their 'Pot of Gold' day, as Dobson could be the next success story that comes out of the festivities. You can expect that the Irish will go hard after him, even though they aren't viewed as his current leader. Plenty could change following his early season visits, and hopefully Notre Dame is still near the top of his list following those trips.
