My £45 two-tone watch looks just like Zara Tindall's £11.7k Rolex
Over the years Zara Tindall has worn quite an impressive range of luxury watches, many of which happen to be from one of the most coveted timepiece brands in the world; Rolex. The equestrian and Royal became a Rolex Testimonee prior to winning individual gold at the World Equestrian Games in 2006 in Aachen, and has since been spotted in several Rolex watches, including the two-tone Lady-Datejust which comes with a huge £11,700 price tag.
Whilst I'm a big fan of Zara's collection, I definitely won't be affording a Rolex of my own anytime soon, which is why I was quick to snap up Sekonda's Classic Ladies 26mm Francis Watch in Two Tone when I saw it. Priced at just £44.99, the watch embodies the classic, timeless (pardon the pun) luxury look of Zara's designer wrist watch, without the hefty price tag.
The Sekonda watch has a slightly more slimline design compared to Zara's Rolex, with a narrower strap and smaller dial. However it sticks to a similar design with a two-tone gold and silver metal bracelet, pale gold face and gold surround.
Obviously the Sekonda Francis Watch isn't made from the same materials, swapping the 18ct gold and diamonds for a stainless steel alloy and crystals, hence the much more affordable price tag. However the Sekonda watch still reflects the elegance and sophistication of the designer version, with crystals in place of numbers around the face and gold-coloured accents including the dial surround and winder.
The watch is also super lightweight and comfortable to wear, and you can barely feel it on your wrist. The clasp can be a little fiddly to unlatch at first, but after a few wears it loosens up and becomes easy to do one handed, and closes super securely so you don't need to worry about it popping open while you wear it.
It's currently available for £44.99 on Amazon, or you can get a different colourway at Freemans, which swaps the gold face for a silver one whilst maintaining the two-tone bracelet strap, although it doesn't have the crystals around the edge. Alternatively you can pick up an all-silver version direct from the Sekonda website for £39.99, which looks just like mine but without any gold details.
Alternatively, you can pick up the Mini Two Tone Pearl Link Belgravia 23 Watch at Abbott Lyon for £149. This watch features a two-tone gold and silver metal strap, in-laid crystals around the face, and has a pearl-effect dial, giving it a premium, high end look.
However I couldn't be happier with my Classic Ladies 26mm Francis Watch in Two Tone from Sekonda. They also stock plenty of other great designer alternatives, letting you get that quiet luxury look on a budget.

But when his last wishes were made public in 2024, it became clear that Leslie's will had been changed during the Covid crisis. The new will, approved in the Court of Protection, was substantially different to the one drawn up by Leslie the day before the couple married in December 2013. In 2014 Leslie suffered a massive stroke, and Zara quit work and looked after him until his death in November 2022. Leslie's first will had allowed Zara, his third wife and 36 years his junior, to stay in his £4million West London home for the rest of her life. But former air stewardess Zara discovered that a new will states the property must be sold and the proceeds put into a trust fund to be divided between her and Leslie's two sons and two daughters from his first marriage to actress Penelope Bartley. The new will, drawn up in November 2020, insists Zara has to be out of the five-bed property next month. According to a legal letter seen by The Sun, if she refuses to go, lawyers will apply to the courts for possession. Fighting back tears Zara says: 'Where would I go? Zara, a friend for more than 20 years, helped Leslie come to terms with Angela's death. They fell in love and married in December 2013. The actor's estate is valued at over £5million, including the house, which he bought in the 1960s at the height of his fame. When Covid shut down the country in 2020, Zara protected Leslie from the effects of the pandemic. But at that time Leslie changed the will, giving Zara just two years nine months after his death to vacate the house. Zara says: 'I was very vulnerable that time. The country was in the grip of the Covid crisis. 'I was the main carer for Leslie, who was disabled. His will was not my priority at that time. Prince William and Kate Middleton 'eyeing up move to bigger Royal home'
The Prince and Princess of Wales have reportedly been looking for a new home just three years after moving to Adelaide Cottage. Prince William and Kate Middleton are reportedly on the hunt for a new, grander Royal residence, despite only moving to their current spot just three years ago. The couple moved to Adelaide Cottage in 2022, and while it's a comfortable abode within the grounds of Windsor Castle, it was never expected to be their permanent base, reports the Mirror. The four-bedroom property is relatively modest by Royal standards, and it's understood that they've been discreetly exploring other options, with insiders suggesting they have a preferred choice. Adelaide Cottage pales in comparison to the family's previous full-time residence - a lavish apartment in Kensington Palace - and they're seeking a larger home for their children, George, Charlotte and Louis. It seems that the top contender is Fort Belvedere, a magnificent gothic revival mansion located in Windsor Great Park. Sources told the Mail on Sunday that William and Kate might be considering the 18th Century estate. It was the favourite home of Edward VIII before he abdicated to marry Wallis Simpson. Edward renovated the property, adding a swimming pool, tennis court, and stables. It's a vast estate with a long driveway leading to the entrance and even boasts a moat. It's believed that William and Kate had previously considered the vacant Fort Belvedere before settling on Adelaide Cottage. At that time, they reportedly felt that Adelaide Cottage was more suitable as it was closer to Queen Elizabeth, and they also wanted to provide their children with a more grounded upbringing. However, the situation has evolved and the Grade II listed property could be the solution to their current itchy feet. The Mail source said: "They feel they have outgrown Adelaide Cottage and need somewhere more substantial. This is the perfect new home for them. It has a swimming pool and tennis court, and Charlotte loves playing tennis." Previously, it was suggested that the Wales family could expand their living space through an annex building by Adelaide Cottage, thus avoiding a move. Another insider told the Express: "Nobody knows that there is quite a spacious red-brick annex building that's not being used next door to Adelaide Cottage. It's currently inhabitable and needs extensive renovation works if it were to be used. "Discussions have been ongoing for a while about using the property as part of the overall cottage grounds, but it's just about finding the right time to kick the project off." The Wales family's impending move isn't the only upheaval in the Firm at the moment. Speculation about potential peace negotiations between Prince Harry and King Charles has intensified in recent days. It comes after reports that senior advisers to both Royals were seen at a London meeting. But a Royal commentator was unconvinced that healing the family divide is possible any more. A confidant of Princess Anne had suggested that Harry should have turned to his aunt during his difficult period. But former BBC Royal correspondent Jennie Bond reckons it's now too late for the Duke of Sussex to seek counsel from the Princess Royal or rely on her to repair the fractured bond between himself and his father. Ms Bond claimed Harry had been "extremely disloyal" to the Firm, which wouldn't be looked on well by Anne. She said: "To Anne, loyalty is paramount, and I suspect she feels that Harry has been extremely disloyal to his father, his brother and the monarchy. She might well find that hard to forgive."
