NBA legend gives thoughts on potential Sixers prospect Ace Bailey
The Philadelphia 76ers can go in plenty of directions with the No. 3 pick in the 2025 NBA draft. After a miserable 2024-25 season, the Sixers were granted with a top 3 pick as they look to bounce back from what was an injury-riddled season.
A popular target for the Sixers at No. 3 has been Rutgers star Ace Bailey. He has popped up in a lot of mock drafts and has been the guy a lot of experts expect to go No. 3 after Duke's Cooper Flagg and Bailey's teammate at Rutgers, Dylan Harper.
Bailey has received a mixture of reviews in NBA circles as executives are not sure what to make of him, but he has two big voices in his corner as Sixers star Paul George has sung his praises, and now NBA legend Carmelo Anthony has some praise for him.
Anthony stated on "Podcast P with Paul George":
I (expletive) love Ace. His skill set and his will to get to his spot and his will to, like, work on certain (expletive). Like he's relentless working on, like, spots on the court.

It remains to be seen what the Sixers will do with that No. 3 overall pick, or if Bailey will even become the player that many believe he can, but it's obvious that he has a ton of potential and the Sixers appear to be the team targeting the young man out of Rutgers.

NBA insider reveals five finalists for Phoenix Suns' head coaching job
The Phoenix Suns had built their very own version of a Big 3, with Devin Booker, Kevin Durant and Bradley Beal. That trio only reached the first round of the NBA Playoffs last year, so they swapped out head coaches, going from Frank Vogel to Mike Budenholzer. Considering both coaches had led their previous teams to NBA championships, each seemed more than qualified to lead the Suns. Yet, Budenholzer couldn't even get the Suns back to the playoffs, which led to his dismissal after the season. Now, the Suns are embarking on a wide-ranging coaching search featuring a number of unique candidates, and there is already a group of five finalists. Advertisement According to NBA insider Marc Stein, the Suns' final five head coaching finalists are Miami Heat assistant Chris Quinn, Oklahoma City assistant Dave Bliss, Cleveland assistant Johnnie Bryant, Cleveland assistant Jordan Ott, and Dallas assistant Sean Sweeney. Interestingly enough, none of the Suns' finalists have ever been a head coach before, yet Phoenix seems to be banking on uncovering a hidden gem. Considering they've already tried hiring two highly accomplished coaches, it makes sense to evaluate their other options. Of course, doing so comes with great risk.
