
Lebanon's Prime Minister visits Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque

ABU DHABI (WAM)Nawaf Salam, Prime Minister of Lebanon, visited the Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque in Abu Dhabi.He was accompanied by Dr. Anwar Gargash, Diplomatic Adviser to the UAE President; Dr. Ghassan Salamé, Minister of Culture of Lebanon; Fouad Chehab Dandan, Ambassador of Lebanon to the UAE, and his accompanying delegation.The Prime Minister of Lebanon, accompanied by Dr. Yousef Al-Obaidli, Director-General of the Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque Centre, began his tour by visiting the tomb of the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, who promoted tolerance, coexistence and peace throughout the world. He then visited the mosque's halls and sections, where he was briefed by cultural specialists about its mission to spread the values of coexistence, tolerance and acceptance, as promoted by the Founding Father.While exploring the mosque's Islamic architecture, he was also told about its history and its role in showcasing Islamic culture and reinforcing international cultural dialogue.At the end of the visit, Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque officials offered Prime Minister Salam a copy of the book - Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque: Lights of Peace - a publication that captures the mosque's architectural magnificence and features award-winning images from the Spaces of Light award.

UAQ Ruler receives Eid Al Adha well-wishers
Greetings His Highness Sheikh Saud received congratulations from sheikhs, senior officials and a large number of well-wishers who gathered to extend their blessings on the occasion. Among those offering greetings were Abdul Rahman bin Mohammad bin Nasser Al Owais, Minister of Health and Prevention, and Dr. Thani bin Ahmed Al Zeyoudi, Minister of State for Foreign Trade, who conveyed their heartfelt wishes to Sheikh Saud, praying that the occasion returns with good health and continued wellbeing for His Highness, and with further prosperity for the UAE and blessings for the Arab and Islamic nations. The Ruler of Umm Al Qaiwain also received greetings from citizens, officials, tribal representatives, members of Arab, Islamic and foreign communities, as well as business leaders, traders, and heads of banks, companies and factories operating in the UAE. They all prayed to God Almighty to grant Sheikh Saud good health and to bless the UAE with continued peace, security and prosperity.

Parliamentary delegations discussed climate issues, artificial intelligence, peace and security, and institutional parliamentary the discussion on Parliamentary Cooperation for Responsible and Inclusive Artificial Intelligence, Sara Mohammad Falaknaz, FNC Member, stated that artificial intelligence represents a promising opportunity for achieving development and balanced emphasised that its optimal investment requires sound governance, beginning with fair and equitable legislation. She stressed that technological advancement should not come at the expense of justice, privacy, and digital sovereignty, and highlighted the importance of considering ethical and human dimensions when developing relevant legal and regulatory pointed out that the UAE was a pioneer in anticipating the technological future through pioneering initiatives—most notably, the appointment of the world's first Minister of State for Artificial Intelligence, the launch of the UAE Artificial Intelligence Strategy 2031 aimed at enhancing government performance and achieving economic excellence through AI technologies, as well as the establishment of the Mohamed bin Zayed University of Artificial Intelligence. She concluded her speech by stressing the importance of enacting flexible and ethical legislation that keeps pace with rapid developments, supports innovation ecosystems, ensures the protection of individual and societal rights, and the need to enhance international parliamentary cooperation in order to exchange expertise and develop unified standards that ensure safe and inclusive digital transformation.
