Why Suki Waterhouse Was Not With Robert Pattinson at Cannes
Pattinson's partner, Suki Waterhouse, did not appear on the red carpet for the movie's premiere. She was most recently seen in New York City at the Met Gala, and may not have been able to make it to Cannes for this year's festival. The couple has a daughter at home who they welcomed in spring of last year.
Die, My Love is based on the Ariana Harwicz novel of the same name and stars Jennifer Lawrence as a woman consumed by 'love and madness,' according to a synopsis on Deadline. Pattinson is the object of her obsession, and they are joined on screen by LaKeith Stanfield, Sissy Spacek, and Nick Nolte.
On Friday night, Pattinson and Lawrence made an appearance on the red carpet at the Dior at The Hollywood Reporter dinner for the film's cast. It was Lawrence's first time in the spotlight since welcoming her second child with husband Cooke Maroney.
In July 2024, Waterhouse spoke to British Vogue about her relationship with the actor, describing how they met.
'I was sure that I'd met him a long time ago, but he didn't think that we had,' she shared, explaining they then did a round of the role playing game Werewolf that was 'very, very intense. There were lots of 'big' characters, real heavy hitters [in the room]. Al Pacino was there. Javier and Penelope were there… and, you know, everyone was really acting.'
She continued, 'I think we both sort of have the same slight uncomfortable-ness [and quickly] started giggling at the absurdity of the whole thing,' adding they 'got told off' for laughing and that a director 'separated us because we were laughing too much.'
They met up again later that year and began spending time together. Soon they were dating and then discovered they were expecting. She shared that while giving birth, Pattinson made her a rap playlist.
'He was there with me and like all dads, he was really nervous, but for someone who's quite an anxious person, he's been very calm,' she said. '[He's] the dad I could have hoped for. I mean a dad and his daughter? It's an actual love story.'

'His warmth, humor, and kindness left an indelible mark on all who knew him.' Caught in Providence began as a local-access show before being picked up in 2000 for a run on Saturday nights on local ABC affiliate WLNE. It would air regionally for years, which many clips going viral, before Debmar-Mercury picked up the show for national syndication in 2018. It ran for two seasons in markets big and small until Caprio's retirement in 2020, and clips from the Citylife Productions show have been viewed billions of times on Facebook, YouTube, TikTok and other platforms. In a 2019 interview for Rhode Island Monthly, Caprio said his wife Joyce suggested the local-access TV time should be used to show him at work behind the bench. ' 'I didn't like the idea actually, but of course, when my wife makes a suggestion, I usually don't win that battle,' he said. 'I agreed we would try it and see if it was something that worked. And there was an overwhelmingly positive response.' Debmar-Mercury co-presidents Mort Marcus and Ira Bernstein said in a statement: 'Judge Caprio's unique brand of compassion and common sense approach to justice caught the attention of daytime TV and social media audiences, making Caught in Providence a fan favorite. We will miss him dearly, and our hearts go out to the Caprio family.' Caprio also served on the City Council for six years during the 1960s and later ran for state Attorney General. After he retired, his former courtroom was renamed The Chief Judge Frank Caprio Courtroom. Caprio appeared as a judge in a 2007 episode Showtime's Providence-set crime-and-politics thriller Brotherhood. His memoir, Frank Caprio Compassion in the Court, was published in February. ‘The Devil Wears Prada 2' costume designer slams constant set photos: ‘Such a shame'
The devil is in the details. Emmy-winning costume designer Molly Rogers isn't thrilled with 'The Devil Wears Prada 2' set photos making the rounds. 'You know, people are just gonna get burned out with all the paparazzi shots,' Rogers exclusively told The Post. She was referring to all the set photos of Anne Hathaway, 42, and fellow cast members such as Meryl Streep, 76, and Emily Blunt, 42, filming the upcoming movie in New York City. Social media has been flooded with snaps from the set, as fans have poured over their outfits and guessed at plot points. 'There's people monetizing my work. That are identifying every single thing they wear,' Rogers added. Hathaway and her co-stars have been identified as wearing clothing from Dries Van Noten, Saint Laurent, Stella McCartney, Dior, Coach, and more. 'It's just such a shame,' Rogers said. 'A lot of times, you feel like you've already seen the movie just by the exterior shots.' The costume designer acknowledged, however, that if a scene involves characters 'doing a walk and talk in New York,' then 'you can't do anything about' bystanders taking photos. The set photos fall into a long trend of images hitting the internet before a movie debuts its trailer. In recent months, there have been steamy set photos of Timothee Chalamet and Gwyneth Paltrow filming their movie 'Marty Supreme.' In an interview with The Post in February, 'The White Lotus' executive producer David Bernad said that one of the biggest 'struggles' of filming the Emmy-winning HBO hit show was that 'tourists were filming us filming.' 'The White Lotus' Season 3 was shot in a real hotel in Thailand, where fellow guests were also vacationing on the premises. 'There was a moment where we were filming a pretty sensitive scene, and there was somebody filming from a hotel room,' Bernad recalled. He ended up calling the person over and watching as they deleted the footage from their phone. When megahit 'Game of Thrones' was filming its ending, the show was even rumored to have filmed multiple 'fake' endings, in an effort to avoid spoilers. 'I think they're filming a bunch of stuff and they're not telling us. I'm being serious….I think that they don't even trust us,' series star Emilia Clarke told The Hollywood Reporter in 2018. 'There's lots of different endings that could happen; I think we're doing all of them and we aren't being told which is actually what's going to happen.' Although leaked footage is understandably a thorn in the side of any production, many viewers enjoy dissecting them. It's become an unavoidable part of modern social media culture. The original 'The Devil Wears Prada' had costume designer Patricia Field, but Rogers, who has worked on 'Sex and the City' and the spinoff 'And Just Like That,' also worked on that film. Rogers has long been known as Field's protegee. Field, 83, hasn't publicly stated why she's not returning for the sequel, but she's also working on Netflix's 'Emily in Paris.' 'I worked on the first [movie] with Pat,' Rogers said, referring to Field. 'I always try to follow her DNA, even though it's 20 years later, I think, for all these characters.' The original 2006 movie follows aspiring journalist Andrea 'Andy' Sachs (Hathaway), who ends up landing a job as an assistant to high-powered fashion magazine editor Miranda Priestly (Streep). Andy isn't interested in fashion and wants to do more serious journalism, but she takes the job at the fictional Runway magazine, anyway. The two women have a battle of wills, but ultimately end in a place of mutual respect. Andy also butts heads with Miranda's senior assistant, Emily (Blunt) and bonds with art director Nigel (Stanley Tucci). The sequel will see Hathaway, Streep, Tucci, and Blunt reprise their roles, joined by Kenneth Branagh, Justin Theroux, BJ Novak, and Simone Ashley, among others. Sydney Sweeney and 'Summer House' alum Paige DeSorbo were also seemingly spotted on set, even though their casting hasn't officially been announced. 'Entourage' star Adrian Grenier — who played Hathaway's love interest — will reportedly not reprise his role. Australian actor Patrick Brammall has appeared to step in as her new beau.
