Madonna Sets July Release Date For Long-Rumored ‘Veronica Electronica' EDM Remix Album
Madonna is giving the people what they want. The singer announced on Thursday morning (June 5) that she will release the long-rumored Veronica Electronica collection, an album featuring rare and unreleased remixes of songs from her beloved 1998 Ray of Light album. The eight-track LP will be released digitally and on silver vinyl on July 25. The album was previewed on Thursday with the glitchy, thumping deep cut 'Skin (The Collaboration Remix Edit).'
According to a release, Veronica Electronica was originally meant to be a remix companion to Ray of Light, but was sidelined by the success of the original album, which hit No. 2 on the Billboard 200, sold more than 16 million copies and earned four Grammy awards — including best pop album. It also spawned a series of chart hits, including the No. 2 Billboard Hot 100 single 'Frozen,' the No. 5 hit title track, No. 11 single 'The Power of Good-Bye' and 'Nothing Really Matters' (No. 93).

The collection spotlights newly edited versions of club remixes by frequent collaborator William Orbit, as well as Peter Rauhofer, Sasha, BT and Victor Calderone, as well as the original demo of 'Gone, Gone, Gone' a previously unreleased recording co-produced by the singer and Rick Nowels. The singer's most recent studio album was 2021's Madame X. Taylor Swift Announces Exciting Album Update on Friday originally appeared on Athlon Sports. After a relatively quiet start to 2025, Taylor Swift shook things up with a major announcement on Friday. In a heartfelt letter posted to her website—prompted by a recent Instagram post encouraging fans to read it—Swift shared some significant personal news. At the core of the letter was the exciting news that she has regained full ownership of all her masters and music, a long-awaited milestone she has been working toward for years. She purchased her masters for roughly $360 million, according to Billboard. Additionally, Swift revealed a major update about her self-titled debut album, Taylor Swift. She has officially completed the re-recording of the entire album, which will be titled "Taylor Swift (Taylor's Version)," which will likely include all 16 original tracks. 'I've already completely re-recorded my entire debut album, and I really love how it sounds now," Swift said. "Those 2 albums can still have their moments to re-emerge when the time is right, if that would be something you guys would be excited about. But if it happens, it won't be from a place of sadness and longing for what I wish I could have. It will just be a celebration now.' While there's no official release date yet, fans were instantly ecstatic to learn that the 35-year-old has added her signature touch to the debut album that first put her on the map back in 2006. "not her giving debut the soft launch of the century," a fan said. Someone else added, "It will be great to hear her new take on her debut album." Another fan posted, "Taylor is giving us one last storm before peace. And we're so ready!" One morefan commented, "She should drop it on their respective release dates as celebratory editions actually." Swift was spotted in New York City on Thursday night out to dinner in a stunning dress. While fans were already anticipating some news about her music, she unexpectedly dropped a bombshell on Friday — setting social media ablaze for all the right story was originally reported by Athlon Sports on May 30, 2025, where it first appeared.

Miley Cyrus hid cost of drugs from accountant by disguising them as vintage clothing purchases
Miley Cyrus concealed the cost of drugs from her accountant during the making of her 2015 album by disguising them as high-end vintage clothing purchases. The 32-year-old singer and songwriter, whose battles with drink and drugs have been well-documented, made the admission during an appearance on the Every Single Album podcast. Speaking about the period surrounding her experimental album Miley Cyrus and Her Dead Petz, Miley said: 'We called (drug purchases) vintage clothes. And every time (my accountant) saw me, she'd be like, 'Where's that, like, $15,000 original John Lennon T-shirt that you bought?' 'It's like, 'Oh, it's upstairs.' So I bought a lot of vintage clothes that year.' The Grammy-winning artist went on to explain to avoid suspicion, she would tell her accountant the garments were 'really delicate' and needed to be stored away to 'protect' them. She added: 'I'm so glad I survived that time in my life. I would definitely not encourage anyone else to go this hard, but the fact that I got through it, I'm very glad I got to do it.' Miley, who rose to prominence as a Disney Channel star before launching a highly successful music career, has long been candid about her relationship with drugs. In a 2013 interview with Rolling Stone, she said: 'Hollywood is a coke town, but weed is so much better. And molly, too. Those are happy drugs – social drugs. They make you want to be with friends. You're out in the open. You're not in a bathroom.' In 2017, she revealed she had gotten sober after rekindling her relationship with then-partner Liam Hemsworth. She told Billboard magazine: 'I haven't smoked weed in three weeks, which is the longest I've ever (gone without it,) I'm not doing drugs, I'm not drinking, I'm completely clean right now!' But in November 2020, Miley acknowledged that she had relapsed during the COVID-19 pandemic. Speaking publicly at the time, she confirmed the setback but said she had resumed sobriety within two weeks. Miley has also recently been in the headlines over a rumoured rift with her country-rock singer father Billy Ray Cyrus, but other reports have said the two have quietly reconciled.
