Ronnie O'Sullivan's manager has revealed the snooker icon's plans for the new season following a tumultuous 2024/25 campaign both on and off the table.
The Rocket's frustrations peaked during a round of Championship League action in January when he snapped his cue in anger and subsequently withdrew from the Masters at Alexandra Palace and host of other tournaments.

Equipped with a new cue, he made a much-anticipated comeback at the World Championship in April, reaching the semi-finals despite ongoing equipment issues. After losing to eventual champion Zhao Xintong, O'Sullivan announced his plans to relocate to the Middle East, where he has a snooker academy in Saudi Arabia in his name.

In personal news, the Rocket is reportedly back together with actress Laila Rouass, following their split nine months ago. The pair are rumoured to be planning for a new life in Dubai, a two-hour flight away from his Riyadh-based academy.
Jason Francis, O'Sullivan's long-standing manager, revealed that the 49-year-old has been thriving in his new environment and anticipates his participation in the Shanghai Masters, a prestigious invitational event commencing on July 28.
"Ronnie's moved out to the Middle East for a while. You'll probably see him first in Shanghai. He's had a little break from the UK," Francis told the Express.

"You're talking about someone who can't go to the shop without being asked for a selfie, a photo. Where he is, he's finding a life a little bit quieter at the moment.
"Ronnie's Ronnie. He'll decide when he wants to play and everyone knows he can come from nowhere to win a major tournament. You won't see Ronnie play a full schedule [this season] but I think you'll see him try and properly prepare for the tournaments he plays in.

"He'll still be the sport's most commercial player in the short-term. Whether Zhao Xintong or [Judd] Trump can pick up that mantle now as we transition... Ronnie will be 50 in December, people have to remember that. They still expect him to turn up and win everything."

While still struggling with his game, making the last four at the Crucible was an impressive feat after so long out. On O'Sullivan's performance at the World Championship, Francis added: "Absolutely incredible. He didn't even have a cue a few weeks before!

"But that's Ronnie for you. He had one bad session [losing all eight frames in the second session]. I'm not saying he could have beaten Xintong - there was a feeling his name was on the trophy - but apart from one bad session, he was still toe to toe with him.
"I think if he had beaten Xintong, him and Mark Williams would have been an incredible final. But it's great for snooker to have a Chinese world champion and it's for World Snooker to exploit that over there."
The Shanghai Masters will see the top 16 players in the world rankings joined by the next four highest-ranked Chinese players. The tournament boasts a prize fund of £825,000, with the winner banking £210,000.

Patrick Walden battled addiction but turned around before death at 46

Former Babyshambles guitarist Patrick Walden's death, was announced by the band on Friday night to devastated fans - tragically, Walden had turned his life around in recent years Following the death of Babyshambles guitarist Patrick Walden at the age of 46, more tragic facts have emerged, showing how the former drug addict had completely turned his life around. The sad news was announced in a heartbreaking statement from the band, fronted by Pete Doherty. On Friday evening (20 June), the group shared a heartfelt statement: "It is with deep regret and sadness that we share the news of Patrick Walden's death. We feel very fortunate to have known, loved and worked with him and we kindly ask for respect and privacy during these difficult times. Peter, Drew, Mik, Adam." ‌ Frontman and indie icon Pete, 46, previously described Walden as "the best guitar player I've ever worked with", after playing together in Babyshambles. The band was formed after Pete left The Libertines in 2003 while he dealt with his own well-documented addiction. ‌ Alongside Walden and his other bandmates, Babyshambles released much loved 2005 album Down In Albion, on which Patrick's distinctive musicianship left a mark in indie history. Including hits such as Killamangiro and F**k Forever, which made it into the top 10, Walden co-wrote six of the final tracks on Down In Albion. Although Babyshambles continued until 2014, Walden left in 2005 as he struggled with his own drug addiction. He would occasionally appear at Babyshambles gigs, but he never made a full comeback to the band. Walden was open about his issues with drugs and spoke about his stints of sobriety. The star admitted he first took heroin aged just 18, when he was injected at a party while drunk in 1997. Intoxicated, he agreed to be injected, and then did it again the week after. His drug use spiralled, with Patrick telling the Express in 2017: "I liked it so much. I had no tolerance for it at the time. I was sitting there being sick but feeling so good. In hindsight it's just so sad. "I did it again two weeks later and before I knew it I was asking someone to get it for me. I had to buy them some a few times and then they would introduce me to someone who could sell it." ‌ Four months later he was completely reliant on the drug, living "hour to hour" after his " world became dark". His subsequent battle with drugs lasted for years, until a turning point came in 2016. He was found by neighbours at the bottom of some concrete steps, covered in blood and weighing just 9st 4lb, despite being 6ft 2. Babyshambles drummer Adam Ficek and Liam Gallagher's guitarist Mike Moore were devastated by the news, quickly gathering funds to send him to rehab at The Cabin in Chiang Mai, northern Thailand. ‌ The facility has seen other celebrities head there to battle addictions, including Walden's bandmate Pete, comedian Michael Barrymore and actress Gail Porter. In 2017, he returned to London after spending nine months at The Cabin, which uses exercise, meditation, CBT and clean eating to get clients clean again. Just two years ago, Walden reflected on his sobriety on the 22 Grand Pod. He said: "Since I turned 40 I haven't taken a drink or anything. It's quite nice to say that. But my whole relationship towards it has changed. I don't want it anymore." He also opened up on how much he had been enjoying the simple things in life, saying: "My experience is, for me, to not have that weight around my shoulders anymore, I've been enjoying life so much the last couple of years. Just simple things, being normal, playing my instrument, teaching guitar a bit, cooking food, watching movies, reading books. ‌ "All these things, but my main driver was always that I can't tolerate feeling normal, I can't tolerate being myself. I have to alter the way I feel all the time, I have to numb myself, I have to anaesthetise myself." He added: "I look back on it and i just feel really sad. I had a lot of help, so I'm lucky, and then I took responsibility and did what I needed to do and took it seriously."

Justin Bieber ‘trying to put on brave face' as Hailey ditches wedding ring & ‘shows off' bare finger amid divorce rumors

The US Sun shared how Hailey, 28, has been spotted without her wedding ring on numerous outings in New York City, as divorce rumors ramp up. 16 Hailey Bieber steps out with Camila Morrone and Suki Waterhouse for girls' night at Chez Fifi on the Upper East Side without her wedding ring Credit: BackGrid 16 Justin Bieber is 'putting on a brave face' as Hailey 'shows off' her bare finger, a body language expert has claimed Credit: Getty 16 Hailey Bieber was seen without her ring on a separate occasion for breakfast at The Commerce Inn in West Village neighborhood of New York City Credit: BackGrid 16 Divorce rumors have ramped up in recent weeks following several troubling posts and outbursts from the Sorry singer Credit: Getty Fears for the couple's marriage have intensified over recent weeks after the 31-year-old singer made troubling comments, shared worrying selfies and exposed private texts in an explosive Father's Day row. Since then, tensions have been sky high with sources from both camps sharing sordid details of the pair's marriage woes including Hailey telling Justin to "stop being a f***ing child" after posting strip club photos. Now, as the mom-of-one publicly ditches her $500,000 wedding ring, Darren Stanton, a body language and behavioural expert has revealed what is going on under the surface. "Hailey is making a very exerted effort to show the paparazzi that she's no longer wearing the ring," Stanton told The U.S. Sun. Known as TV's human lie detector, Stanton examined previous footage of the model and noticed that she never normally puts her hand "in view very predominantly" and that this is unusual for her. But, when recently out in the Big Apple, she has repeatedly been seen with her bare left hand on full display, sometimes held up to her jacket or to fix her hair but in an unnatural way. "The gesture she makes seems odd," Stanton explained. "Like when she's wearing the black jacket and a hand comes right across the chest. "That's a very unusual gesture and it seems to be that she's trying to emphasise the point that she's not got the ring on." The picture Stanton referred to was taken as Hailey stepped out with Camila Morrone and Suki Waterhouse for a girls' night at Chez Fifi on the Upper East Side. 16 The model kept her ringless left hand in full view of paparazzi Credit: BackGrid 16 The 'odd gestures' she has made make is seem that Hailey wants it known she has ditched her ring, Stanton said Credit: BackGrid 16 The 28-year-old model shares a 10-month-old son with her husband Credit: BackGrid 16 Hailey's $500,000 wedding ring was no where to be seen on recent outings Credit: BackGrid Attending such events confidently despite ongoing marriage troubles means "she's clearly not distressed," Stanton added, but said that she is clearly frustrated with her husband. "With Hailey we see elements of anger and frustration because the eyebrows are put together the eyes are narrowed and the lips are pierced," he explained. "Therefore I would assert she's angry and frustrated potentially with Justin's behaviour as I know she has allegedly said she's not happy with Justin's behaviour." 16 Hailey looked confident as she headed to a girls' night at Chez Fifi on the Upper East Side Credit: BackGrid 16 The Rhode founder's body language appears to show frustration at her husband's behavior, Stanton said Credit: BackGrid 16 Her left hand was prominently displayed for the cameras during the night out Credit: BackGrid 16 Justin's recent social media posts have sparked concern from his fans Credit: Instagram 'BRAVE FACE' As his wife makes a point of going sans ring, Justin is desperately trying to cover up his hurt, Stanton said. "With Justin, I see elements of sadness. I think he is more emotionally distressed than she is," he explained. "He is trying to put on a brave face." The body language expert detailed how Justin appears to be putting on a "masking smile" where people try to cover up their sadness with a fake smile. "Trying to conceal sadness with a smile is very common some people use a fake smile to cover frustration, anxiety, and a lack of confidence in certain social settings," he said. "With Justin, even at times when he smiles, we do not see the two main tells [of a genuine smile] which are lines at the side of the eyes called crows feet or left lines [ also known as laughter lines]." "No matter how old someone is, if the whole face is not engaged and we don't see the three lines at the side of the eyes, then it is most probably a fake smile to conceal and inner emotion and I believe that Justin is feeling sadness." It comes as the Sorry singer shared cryptic messages and leaked text messages about being "tired of transactional relationships". "If I have to do something to be loved that's not love," he wrote. An insider also previously revealed that Hailey has begged her husband to get help as his apparent mental health struggles worsen and it is reported he is in huge debt. Discussions of Justin being placed in a conservatorship by Hailey have been raised following his increasingly concerning behavior. A legal expert detailed to The U.S. Sun how Hailey would have to prove three points to carry out what has been called a "nuclear" option.
