Inside stunning hotel Marcus Rashford is living in with rooms costing up to £1,500 a night
Marcus Rashford is hoping to light up La Liga this season after joining Barcelona on loan, and the English attacker has been put up in a stunning hotel. Rashford signed with the Spanish champions for the 2025/26 campaign, while the deal also includes an option to buy the 27-year-old next year for around £30million.
As per Mundo Deportivo, Rashford is staying in the Hotel Sofia – the same accommodation as team-mates Wojciech Szczęsny and Roony Bardghji – as he awaits permanent housing in Barcelona.
Given the luxurious atmosphere of the five-star hotel, a stone's throw from Camp Nou, the England international is likely to be comfortable staying there as long as is required.
The Hotel Sofia, also known as the Grand Hyatt Barcelona, is situated in one of the city's most exclusive financial areas of Alta. With 465 rooms throughout, the hotel is full of incredible amenities that Rashford will likely use to wind down from training with the La Liga champions ahead of the season opener against RCD Mallorca.
On Booking.com, the cheapest room for one night is the premium twin room, which costs £243 and includes breakfast.
This basic room features two single beds, a private bathroom with a shower, flat-screen TV, seating area and city views.
Rashford – who has a reported whopping net worth of around £18.8m – won't be spending his stay in one of the hotel's standard rooms, though. Barcelona will want him feeling extra comfortable, while they're also covering his entire salary this season, worth £315,000-a-week.
The forward would be much more suited to the most expensive room at the Hotel Sofia, which can cost up to £1,579 per night. The junior king suite is one of the most luxurious stays at the Spanish hotel, featuring an extra-large double bed, an ensuite bathroom, minibar and even a wake-up service included in the price. It is not known, though, if Rashford is in one of those rooms.
Breakfast is also included with the room, as well as free toiletries, a beautiful skyline view of the city of Barcelona and 431 square feet of space throughout.
Along with the room's amenities, the hotel itself offers some incredible benefits. This includes a wellness and spa area, an outdoor area complete with a terrace and pool, and five restaurants to choose from.
The spa offers the latest in relaxation techniques, including water circuits, saunas and steam baths, with expert therapists on hand to deliver some of the best treatments for hard-working stars.
The hotel also has a modern gym with the best equipment, that is open 24 hours – meaning Rashford can warm up or cool down after training with some of his new team-mates.
Throughout the main lobby of the hotel, spacious seating areas are dotted around with sun loungers situated around the outdoor pool, and high stools placed near the bar that is loaded with every drink imaginable.
While Rashford will likely be using the hotel's amenities sparingly as he trains with Barcelona, there are certainly worse places to be resting your head in the Spanish city.
Speaking about his exciting switch this summer, the 27-year-old said: "I'm very excited. It's a club where dreams come true. They win big prizes and what the club stands for really means a lot to me.
"It feels like I'm at home and it's a big factor in my choice to come here. It's a family club and people are comfortable here. It's a good place for good players to showcase their skills."

Rio Ngumoha sends Arne Slot message he can't ignore as Liverpool wonderkid makes Kop impact
LIVERPOOL 4-1 ATHLETIC BILBAO: Rio Ngumoha was the star of the show as a second-string Reds side saw off their La Liga opponents in the first of two Anfield friendlies Mark is the Sports Features Editor for Mirror Online. Anfield was a little more sparse than usual as Liverpool's first friendly of the evening against Athletic Bilbao kicked off due to an earlier evacuation, but even amongst the reduced numbers there would have been those who didn't know who Rio Ngumoha was. If they got in in time, they do now. Just 81 seconds were on the clock when Ngumoha, who won't turn 17 until the end of this month, picked up the ball inside his own half and drove at the visiting defenders in much the same way he had against Yokohama F Marinos in Japan last week. Only this was at the Kop end. A touch of nerves for the teen as he bore down on goal then? Not a bit of it. Ngumoha opened his body up and caressed an effort into the far corner that a player twice his age his would be proud of. It was yet another example of why Arne Slot can't ignore the talents of the former Chelsea youngster when selecting his first-team squads this season. And you're starting to suspect he won't. Ngumoha's sole taste of first-team action in the last campaign came in an FA Cup third round tie against Accrington Stanley, but after scoring what is already his third goal of this pre-season then there are many calling for Slot to throw him into the meaningful matches soon and more often. He was interviewed by club media in Japan, and notably now sports his first name on the back of his shirt rather than his surname - clearly something he felt emboldened enough to request. After his goal to get the Anfield crowd on their feet he was soon turning provider when he nodded down for Darwin Nunez to apply a simple finishing touch. In celebration the name Rio was bellowed down from the Kop and not Darwin. Ngumoha would remain pivotal to how Liverpool attacked, with his stepovers and rolling of the ball under his feet delighting the crowd until his 66th minute replacement to a standing ovation. The Reds were 4-0 up by that point thanks to further goals from Ben Doak and Harvey Elliott, eventually winning 4-1, but none of those strikes were as special as the opener nor the player who scored it. Man United are eyeing revenge after last season, warns Leny Yoro as young defender vows to ignore 'bull***t'
Leny Yoro has warned that Manchester United are ready to take 'revenge' for last season as they look to make a fresh start under Ruben Amorim. The young French defender knows there are people who want United to fail again but insists the team will shut out the external noise and 'bull***t'. United are looking to bounce back from their worst season in more than half a century, and landed in Manchester on Monday after winning the Premier League Summer Series on tour in the US. Yoro said: 'When you play for Manchester United, you need to have the mindset of being the best version of yourself. I think what we did last season was a mistake for us. 'When you're Manchester United, you cannot be at this position. The fans know it, everyone knows it. I think we understand this. This season will be different for us. It will be like a revenge from last season. We need to do better. 'I think mentally everyone is ready. We still have one game against Fiorentina to prepare. But the mindset of the team is to be ready for the first game, ready for the season. I think we are working and training for this, and we are ready for the opening game.' United's determination to succeed is also driven by the critics who took pleasure in their problems last season as Amorim's side finished 15th in the Premier League and lost the Europa League final to Tottenham. 'We are a big club,' added Yoro. 'There are a lot of people that want us to fail and we know that. But there are also a lot of people that want us to do it, to do great things. We just focus on the fans, you know. We don't care about what they say outside. Everyone said bull***t about us last year. 'I understand because we didn't do really well but this season will be different, I hope for us. We don't need to listen to this and just be focused on ourselves.' United ended the tour with an underwhelming 2-2 draw with Everton in Atlanta but remained unbeaten after their wins over West Ham in New Jersey and Bournemouth in Chicago, which followed a goalless draw with Leeds in Stockholm. 'I would not say we're disappointed because we did a good tour,' said Yoro. 'We arrived first, this is good. We didn't lose. We know we can do better and there are still some things to improve. I think we can be happy with what we did during this tour.' Yoro had a huge setback on last summer's tour of the US following a £52million move from Lille when he fractured a metatarsal against Arsenal in LA and didn't play again until December. The 19-year-old is looking forward to being involved from the start of the season when United face the Gunners at Old Trafford in their opening game a week on Sunday. 'Of course, last season was not easy to start with an injury,' he said. 'When you come back during the season, it's difficult for you. But today I'm good. I did a good pre-season. I'm not injured, thanks to God. I will continue like this and try to play as many games as I can.'
