"Surya is suffering from a sports hernia on the right side of the lower abdomen.
He consulted the doctor in London today and will undergo a sports hernia surgery tomorrow afternoon (June 25)," a source tracking developments told TOI on Tuesday.
"Post the surgery, it will take 10–12 days till the stitches come off. He will not be able to walk much and will have to basically take complete rest. After that, Surya will recuperate at the BCCI's Centre of Excellence in Bengaluru," the source said.

The dashing batsman had a terrific IPL 2025 for the Mumbai Indians, amassing 717 runs in 16 matches at an average of 65.18 and a strike rate of 167.9.

'This ain't too much fun anymore': George Kittle reveals the brutal trigger for his NFL retirement

Kittle's NFL retirement plan (Image via Wikipedia) For George Kittle, the road to NFL retirement won't be marked by milestones, broken records, or age—it will be guided by something far more personal. The San Francisco 49ers tight end recently opened up about how he'll know it's time to call it quits, and his reasoning is as honest as it is refreshing. It's not about legacy or money. It's about joy, body signals—and brutal truth from the one person who knows him best. Kittle sets unfiltered retirement conditions on Bussin' With the Boys Appearing on the Bussin' With the Boys podcast, Kittle offered fans a no-holds-barred look into how he'll approach the end of his playing career. And it's not a front office decision or headline-grabbing exit plan that will push him out. Instead, it's the loss of passion—or a blunt word from his wife. 'Literally until I don't have fun anymore," Kittle explained. "or until [my wife] Claire looks at me and goes 'you kinda look like shit out there, you should retire''. That blend of humor and sincerity is classic Kittle, who's never shied away from revealing the raw side of life in the NFL. While most athletes aim to play until the tank runs dry, Kittle is more interested in maintaining authenticity—both on and off the field. It's a decision-making process rooted in self-awareness and real-life relationships, not contract clauses. by Taboola by Taboola Sponsored Links Sponsored Links Promoted Links Promoted Links You May Like Cara Membantu Orang Terkasih Menghadapi Limfoma Limfoma Pelajari Undo Kittle's benchmark: When morning routines become a battle At 31, Kittle still plays with unmatched energy, but he's not immune to the wear and tear of the game. In a brutally honest moment, he laid out a more physical indicator of retirement. 'I think if I get to 35 and it hurts to put pants on in the morning, I think I'll be like, 'This ain't too much fun anymore.'' It's a relatable sentiment that underscores how grueling the league can be on a player's body—even one built as tough as Kittle. IND vs ENG Test: Once invincible, now vulnerable- Is this India's worst Test era?

The India team huddle (Photo by) England's stunning five-wicket win at Headingley has not only put them 1-0 up in the five-match series but has also highlighted a trend Indian cricket fans might not want to see: the team's alarming slide in red-ball dominance. In Last 9 Test matches South Africa - Won 8 matches Australia - Won 6 matches Egland - Won 5 matches New Zeland - Won 4 matches Paistan - Won 3 matches Sri Lanka - Won 3 matches West Indies - Won 2 matches Bangladesh - Won 2 matches India - Won 1 match* Go Beyond The Boundary with our YouTube channel. SUBSCRIBE NOW! In the last nine Test matches, top nations like South Africa (8 wins), Australia (6), England (5), and even Pa1istan (3) have all found ways to win consistently. India, however, has managed just a single victory in that same period, an unsettling statistic for a side once feared for its resilience in all conditions. Gautam Gambhir Explosive Press Conference: On Drop Catches, Batting Collapse, Shubman Gill Captaincy The defeat at Headingley was especially bitter because India had dictated terms for much of the game. Centuries from Shubman Gill, KL Rahul and Rishabh Pant gave the visitors a hefty 371-run cushion to defend on the final day. But 'grown-up Bazball' from Ben Duckett, Zak Crawley and Joe Root turned the match on its head. Root's calm 53* not only sealed England's record chase but also edged him closer to Sachin Tendulkar's legendary milestone for most 50+ scores in Tests. Quiz: Who's that IPL player? Skipper Shubman Gill's young captaincy era has begun with lessons on fielding lapses, tail-end collapses and missed chances under pressure. While India rue lost opportunities, England, Australia and South Africa continue to set the benchmark in modern Test cricket. With four more Tests to go in this series and a long season ahead, fans are hoping India finds its mojo before this slide turns into a serious crisis. Travis Kelce channels inner professor at Tight End University, where Taylor Swift joined the Chiefs TE for support

Travis Kelce's TEU class like a football TED Talk (Getty Images) Travis Kelce isn't just extending his legacy on the field—he's shaping the next generation of tight ends off it. The Kansas City Chiefs star returned for the fifth edition of Tight End University (TEU) in Nashville, an elite offseason training summit he co-founded alongside fellow NFL greats George Kittle and Greg Olsen. And this year, he brought more star power than ever—his girlfriend Taylor Swift made a surprise appearance, further amplifying the buzz surrounding the event. Travis Kelce stuns fans with coaching brilliance at TEU Held over three immersive days, TEU isn't just a casual gathering. It's where technique meets tradition, and where the finest in the NFL come to sharpen their craft. The program has become a staple for elite tight ends looking to level up—and Kelce has been central to that mission. Despite suffering a tough loss in Super Bowl LIX earlier this year—where he recorded just four catches for 39 yards—Kelce hasn't let the setback stall his momentum. Though retirement had been on his mind, the 35-year-old opted to return for the 2025 season, determined not to end his career on a low note. With just one year remaining on his current contract, he'll begin what might be his final NFL campaign in Brazil on September 5 against the Chargers. Yet if his performance at TEU is anything to go by, a seamless transition into coaching could be waiting. A video shared by the NFL captured Kelce diving deep into the art of route running. by Taboola by Taboola Sponsored Links Sponsored Links Promoted Links Promoted Links You May Like Prince William & Kate Met Princess Diana's Secret Daughter. Plays Star Undo 'Us big guys, it's so hard for us to throw one foot in the ground going at 75% speed in a route to get out there,' Kelce explained to the group. 'We want to use two steps, and sometimes it takes three on the 15, 20-yard routes if you are lucky enough to run them.' The way Kelce broke down the mechanics of movement—the balance, the power, the importance of being deliberate—left fans in awe. 'I'm gonna make sure that I get to a balanced, powerful position. That instep is typically going in the direction that I want to go,' he continued. 'So really work and find that shoulder-over-toe and you can really get in and out of there precise, with a purposeful and powerful foundation.' His passion and clarity have sparked speculation among fans that he'd be an outstanding coach once his playing days conclude. Whether that comes soon or later, Kelce's dedication to the tight end craft—along with the energy he brings to mentoring—makes it clear that TEU isn't just a camp. It's a legacy in motion. And with Taylor Swift by his side during the opening night festivities at a stylish Nashville cocktail bar, Kelce showed he's equally at ease in the spotlight and the film room—a rare combination that's making TEU more impactful, and more talked about, than ever.
