Visit Qatar has won four awards at the Smarties Middle East and North Africa Awards, organised by the Mobile Marketing Association (MMA), during the ceremony held on May 15, at Atlantis The Palm, Dubai. This achievement marks a new milestone that reflects its leadership in the field of digital tourism marketing.
Visit Qatar received awards in prestigious categories including The Gold Award for Innovative Use of AI in Advertising, A Silver Award in the category of AI-Powered Audience Engagement. In addition, two Silver Awards – one for Real-Time Marketing and another for Data Insights / Contextual Marketing.
Visit Qatar's win at these prestigious awards is a culmination of its ongoing efforts in harnessing the latest tools in digital and mobile marketing. This year, Visit Qatar participated with five major campaigns that were nominated across various categories, such as 'Real-Time Marketing', 'Data Insights / Contextual Marketing', 'AI-Powered Audience Engagement', 'Innovative Use of AI in Advertising', and 'AI-Driven Creative Excellence'.
The Smarties Awards are among the most prominent awards in the marketing field across the Middle East and North Africa regions. They honour campaigns that combine creativity with tangible commercial impact, while highlighting emerging trends such as data-driven campaigns, real-time content, and immersive experiences.

The delegation included a number of companies operating in the construction, contracting, real estate, and infrastructure sectors, and was headed by Engineer Peter Sikalumba, Chief Engineer at the Ministry of Works inTanzania. During the meeting, discussions were held on enhancing trade and economic cooperation between Qatar and Tanzania in the construction sector. Qatari business owners were invited to take part in key projects in Tanzania. The meeting also explored the main sectors where the private sectors of both countries could collaborate. Al-Ahbabi praised the strong Qatari-Tanzanian relations, particularly in economic and investment fields. He pointed out the growing interest among Qatari businesspeople in exploring available opportunities in Tanzania and entering into joint ventures with Tanzanian companies to leverage the country's strategic assets. He also reaffirmed Qatar Chamber's full readiness to cooperate with Tanzanian companies interested in working with the Qatari private sector, and to coordinate with the relevant trade authorities in Tanzania to explore ways to boost bilateral trade. Al-Ahbabi noted that the Chamber has previously received several trade delegations from Tanzania representing various sectors and that ongoing communication exists with the Tanzanian private sector. The delegation presented several major infrastructure projects in Tanzania and invited Qatari companies to participate in these projects—either in partnership with the public sector or through forming alliances with Tanzanian firms. They also highlighted the incentives their country offers to attract foreign investments.

The meeting discussed bilateral cooperation between the two countries, particularly in the commercial and economic fields, and ways to enhance them. The two sides also reviewed the investment climate in both countries and the available investment opportunities that businesspeople from both sides can capitalize on to strengthen trade exchanges. Al-Ahbabi praised the distinguished relations between the State of Qatar and the Republic of Argentina, pointing out that the volume of trade exchange between the two countries reached about QAR 366 million in 2024. He noted that this figure does not reflect the true potential and mutual ambitions, emphasizing the need to work diligently to boost trade cooperation by encouraging the private sector to establish joint ventures in both Qatar and Argentina. Al-Ahbabi also highlighted the presence of nine Argentine companies registered with Qatar Chamber and operating in the Qatari market in partnership with Qatari firms. He affirmed that Qatar Chamber welcomes Argentine companies interested in investing in Qatar and noted that, conversely, many Qatari investors are keen to explore investment opportunities in Argentina. For his part,Hernán Lombardi commended the relations between Qatar and Argentina. He stated that his visit to Doha comes as part of his country's desire to strengthen trade and economic cooperation with the State of Qatar. He invited Qatari businesspeople and investors to explore the investment environment and opportunities available in Argentina, particularly in sectors such as agriculture, technology, and others.

Ali bin Abdul Latif Al-Misnad and Nasser bin Suleiman Al-Haidar, members of the Chamber's Board of Directors. During the meeting, both sides discussed bilateral cooperation between Qatar and Malaysia, particularly in commercial and economic fields, and explored ways to strengthen these ties. Furthermore, the idea of opening a Malaysian trade office in Doha was discussed, aiming to expand commercial relations and assist Malaysian companies seeking to enter the Qatari market or export to Qatar. The meeting also reviewed the key imports and exports between the two countries and stressed the importance of boosting trade volumes. Additionally, The Qatar Chamber delegation held a meeting with several members of the Board of Directors of the Malaysian Chamber of Commerce, during which they reviewed the cooperation between the two chambers and discussed ways to enhance it in a manner that contributes to the development of trade and economic relations between the two countries.'
