Hugh Jackman and Deborra-Lee Furness finalize divorce one month after filing documents

Daily Mail5 hours ago

Hugh Jackman and Deborra-Lee Furness have finalized their divorce a month after filing, DailyMail.com can exclusively reveal.
A judgment of divorce was filed on June 12, making it official, but the document was not made public until Monday.
Before the judgement was entered, two other documents were filed on June 10 - a 'Qualified Medical Child Support Order', a legal document that requires a group health insurance plan for a child or children, as well as document explaining the judgement.
Furness, who has two adopted children with Jackman, has received a 'handsome spousal support payment,' according to an insider, who previously spoke to DailyMail.com.
'A settlement was reached that Deborra is pleased with which includes a handsome spousal support payment,' the contact said.
'There was some back and forth regarding this financial agreement but, in the end, she got what she believed she deserved. Both are coming out of this financially secure.
'There is not going to be any drama with this gives closure that she needed.'
Last month, Daily Mail exclusively broke the news of Hugh, 56, and Deborra-Lee, 69, filing for divorce to officially terminate their 27-year marriage.
The film producer filed the complaint in New York on May 23 and, according to the filings, everything has been ironed out behind the scenes.
Other filings submitted by her lawyer include a notice concerning continuation of health care coverage, a proposed qualified medical child support order, a New York state case registry form (used to report child support orders to the state's registry), the settlement, a proposed judgment of divorce, and certificate of dissolution.
All that needed to be done was for the judge to sign off on the judgment.
The divorce is 'non contested,' meaning there was not a major disagreement between the couple.
'They have worked out the details in advance and everything is ironed out in terms of a settlement, alimony and the expenses for the future of their children,' another source told Daily Mail.
'They are amicable and they are both fully committed to being the best parents that they can be.'
They added that Jackman is 'looking forward to the future and not looking back'.
Shortly after news broke of the exes' divorce filing, Furness shocked fans by releasing a statement using the word 'betrayal' when speaking about her 'traumatic journey'.
Hugh has been dating his former The Music Man co-star Sutton Foster for months, although the timeline of when they began dating has never been confirmed.
A source previously told DailyMail.com: 'While he didn't physically cheat on her with Sutton, Deborra-Lee believes they were having an emotional affair and she feels he betrayed her.'
In a statement to DailyMail.com, Deborra-Lee said: 'My heart and compassion goes out to everyone who has traversed the traumatic journey of betrayal. It's a profound wound that cuts deep, however I believe in a higher power and that God/the universe, whatever you relate to as your guidance, is always working FOR us.'
She continued, 'This belief has helped me navigate the breakdown of an almost three-decade marriage. I have gained much knowledge and wisdom through this experience. Even when we are presented with apparent adversity, it is leading us to our greatest good, our true purpose.
'It can hurt, but in the long run, returning to yourself and living within your own integrity, values and boundaries is liberation and freedom.'
She concluded her statement with the 'one thing' that she has learned, which is 'that none of this is personal,' adding, 'We are all on our individual journeys and I believe that the relationships in our lives are not random.
'We are drawn to people, we invite them in, in order to learn our lessons and to recognize and heal the broken parts of ourselves...I remain grateful.'
It was later revealed that Furness and Jackman are splitting their $24million penthouse in New York City.
While details of how they divvy up their combined $387million fortune, the exes have at least decided to split their $24million Manhattan property down the middle.
On June 2, Jackman and Furness filed records with the city regarding their shares of their former love nest, as seen in documents obtained by DailyMail.com,

Netflix star Liver King Brian Johnson is arrested for making ‘terroristic threats' against Joe Rogan

Disgraced fitness influencer 'Liver King' was arrested in Texas after traveling to the hometown of podcaster Joe Rogan to challenge him to a fight. Brian Johnson, 47, known to followers as the 'Liver King,' faces a misdemeanor charge of making a terroristic threat and was booked into the Travis County Jail in Austin Tuesday night, records show. Johnson, who gained over 6 million followers promoting an 'ancestral lifestyle' of consuming immeasurable amounts of raw meat, was taken into custody in Austin, where Rogan lives, sources confirmed to KXAN. Concerning footage shared on Johnson's social media shows him challenging Rogan, a UFC commentator, to fight. 'Joe Rogan, I'm calling you out, my name's Liver King. Man to man, I'm picking a fight with you,' he said in a video shared on Monday. 'I have no training in Jiu-jitsu; you're a black belt, you should dismantle me. But I'm picking a fight with you. Your rules, I'll come to you whenever you're ready,' Johnson said. Several videos shared on the account capture the moments leading up to Johnson's arrest. Johnson, wearing a burgundy sweatsuit and a tactical vest, can be seen pacing around the room while he talks about going to prison and fighting Rogan. Footage also shows an officer patting him down while he is in handcuffs. Johnson was then led to an unmarked police car. In the footage, a member of Jonhson's team appears to tell his wife that Johnson may have to spend up to 24 hours in jail. He was being held on a $20,000 bond, although it was not immediately clear if he was still in custody as of Wednesday morning. The Independent has reached out to the Austin Police Department for comment. It was not clear Wednesday morning whether the social media star was taken into custody over the comments he made about Rogan or something else. While Rogan has never hosted Johnson on his podcast, the Joe Rogan Experience, he has discussed the influencer's steroid use. Rogan had criticized Johnson for claiming he gained his chiseled physique by following an 'ancestral' diet of raw meat and unprocessed organs, including livers. Johnson had denied having used steroids until 2022, when a leak of his emails revealed he had spent over $11,000 a month on steroids to achieve his look. He faced a $25 million lawsuit from enraged customers who accused him of fraud and deception, but this was ultimately dropped, according to Mail Online. Johnson was also the subject of the Netflix documentary 'Untold: The Liver King,' which came out earlier this year.

Michael Douglas was joined by his daughter Carys Zeta Douglas as they attended the Sant Joan festivities together in Menorca on Monday. The Hollywood icon, 80, looked typically dapper in a Panama hat and a blue shirt, which he wore with a pair of navy trousers. Michael, who was also sporting a pair of stylish dark sunglasses, proudly walked beside his daughter through the streets of Ciudadela. Earlier this month, Carys was showered with love and support from her famous parents as she graduated from Brown University in Rhode Island. The graduate took to Instagram to share more snaps from her big day, which featured an emotional moment with her mother Catherine, 55, and a sweet shot with her dad. Carys looked radiant as she posed in her cap and gown layered over a chic white dress. In one adorable photograph, she was seen with tears of joy as she embraced her mother.
