Philadelphia man arrested near Golden Gate Park suspected of having nitrous oxide tanks
Officers were near Fulton Street and 35th Avenue around 11 p.m. to patrol the area during the ongoing concert series.
During their patrol, they saw an open trailer with a man inside, and as they got closer, they saw numerous tanks in the vehicle and suspected they were filled with nitrous oxide, police said.
The officers arrested the man after an investigation gave them probable cause, according to police.
He was identified by police as 32-year-old Thomas Siderio of Philadelphia. Police said they seized about 100 metal tanks and found balloons at the scene.
They towed the trailer as evidence, police said.
Siderio was taken to the San Francisco County Jail on suspicion of distribution or dispense of nitrous oxide and possession of nitrous oxide with intent to ingest for intoxication.

A man has been arrested and a woman taken to hospital following a crash on a key Birmingham route this afternoon, August 7. College Road ground to a halt as emergency services responded to the incident. Bus services 7 and 907 were also diverted from the scene. Live traffic systems suggest that College Road has now reopened. A West Midlands Police spokesperson said: "We were called to College Road, Kingstanding at around 1.20pm today (Thurs) to reports of a collision. "A woman in her 60s was taken to hospital to be checked over. "A 19-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of driving while under the influence of drink / drugs and remains in police custody. "Enquiries are ongoing. Anyone with information is asked to get in touch quoting log 2583 of 7 August." A West Midlands Ambulance spokesperson confirmed: "We were called to reports of a three-car RTC on College Road at 1.28pm, two ambulances attended the scene. "On arrival we discovered two patients. "A woman was treated for injuries not believed to be serious before being taken to Heartlands Hospital. A man was assessed and discharged at the scene."

Four men jailed after 'industrial scale' cannabis factory busted by police
CRIMINALS who farmed more than £3 million of cannabis in a large-scale drugs factory have been jailed. Four Vietnamese men who worked at the factory, at former commercial premises on Quarry Road in Gomersal were recently jailed at Leeds Crown Court. The men were all found guilty of conspiracy to produce a Class B drug following a trial which began on April 15. Inside the cannabis factory (Image: WYP) The convicted men, all of Quarry Road, were: Hoai Le Thanh, 41, who was sentenced to three years, seven months in prison. Hoa Hoang, 64, who was sentenced to 30 months in prison. Thanh Le, 37, who was sentenced to 30 months in prison. Khang Nguyen, 29, sentenced to 30 months in prison. Police from the Batley and Spen Neighbourhood Policing Team (NPT) executed a warrant at the former bed factory on Friday July 12, 2024. Officers located cannabis plants worth about £2.4 million inside the building, as well as already cut and prepared cannabis thought to be worth an additional £1 million. The defendants were arrested in the large-scale operation, taken into police custody, and later charged. NPT officers executed the warrant after pulling together various pieces of intelligence about a potential cannabis factory at the location and found a sophisticated hydroponics set up inside. They also found well prepared living quarters established for men operating the farm. Inspector Charlotte Nicholls of the Batley and Spen NPT, said: 'These men were working at a sophisticated operation which was capable of producing cannabis on an industrial scale, and we welcome their conviction and sentencing at court. 'We know that money from drugs production fuels serious organised crime in communities, such as County Lines trafficking and drugs related violent crime, so it is good news that more than £3-million of cannabis produced at this plant was stopped from hitting the streets." She added: ''This large scale case has been, unusually, managed by the neighbourhood team and I would like to give praise to the officer in the case, PC Kalabic, for his hard work and commitment to this complex investigation'. 'I also want to thank partners at the CPS who prosecuted the case at trial, and all those colleagues who worked tirelessly at the site for their hard work and diligence. ICE detainee found hanging by neck in detention facility
An Immigration and Customs Enforcement detainee died by suicide while in custody after he was found hanging by his neck in the shower room at the Pennsylvania facility where he was being held, according to officials. Chaofeng Ge, a 32-year-old citizen of China in ICE custody, was pronounced dead by the Clearfield County coroner at approximately 6 a.m. on Tuesday, according to ICE. Ge was found hanging by the neck and unresponsive in the shower room of his detention pod, ICE said. Ge's death was determined to be a suicide after investigators discovered a handwritten note and no foul play was found, according to Pennsylvania State Police. Ge was detained at the Moshannon Valley Processing Center in Philipsburg, Pennsylvania. He was arrested in January at a CVS after the store reported him for fraudulently using a credit card to buy gift cards, according to Lower Paxton Township police. He was then taken into ICE custody and transported to the York ICE office for processing, ICE said.
