JOHANNESBURG - June 18th is Autistic Pride Day.
The day celebrates individuals living with autism and the richness and potential of their lives.
Autism doesn't only affect the quality of life for those living with it but it also affect those around them, especially friends and families.
Most communities, especially black families are not well informed to fully accept and care for an individual with autism.
ENCA had a sit-down with a 17 year old matriculant and youth pastor who has an autistic younger brother and is passionate about the cause.
Autism Awareness Campaigner, Hadassah Bongakonke says this challenge has brought her and her brother even closer.

JOHANNESBURG - It's a remarkable conservation turnaround, not through fences or fines, but through trust, education, and community. READ: Poachers poison more than 120 endangered vultures At Blouberg Nature Reserve in Limpopo, home to South Africa's largest colony of Cape Vultures, the very communities once involved in poaching are now stepping up to stop it. Instead of clashing with tradition, they're working with it and the results are powerful. Students are becoming so-called "vulture protectors" with teachers reporting a sharp drop in vulture-related incidents, and local tip-offs now saving lives rather than ending them. Alistair Sinclair, General Manager at VulPro, discussed community-led conservation success with eNCA.
