US airstrikes destroyed only one of three Iranian nuclear sites
The report highlights that the attack on Iran's Fordow nuclear facility was successful, setting back uranium enrichment capabilities there by as much as two years.
However, the other two facilities, Isfahan and Natanz, were not as badly damaged. They may have been degraded only temporarily, with nuclear enrichment potentially able to resume within the next several months if Iran decides to do so.
White House spokesperson Anna Kelly told Reuters, 'As the President has said and experts have verified, Operation Midnight Hammer totally obliterated Iran's nuclear capabilities.'
Meanwhile, Pentagon spokesperson Sean Parnell stated to NBC, 'President Donald Trump was clear and the American people understand: Iran's nuclear facilities in Fordow, Isfahan, and Natanz were completely and totally obliterated. There is no doubt about that.'
Notably, the US and Israel launched joint airstrikes on Iranian nuclear facilities in the last week of June, escalating tensions in the region. The 12-day conflict between Israel and Iran began on June 12, when Israel launched surprise airstrikes on multiple positions in Iran.
The strikes were part of a campaign targeting Iran's nuclear program, which the U.S. claims is geared towards developing nuclear weapons. Iran maintains that its nuclear development is purely for civilian purposes. A new U.S. assessment reveals that these strikes mostly destroyed only one of the three targeted Iranian nuclear sites, according to NBC News, citing current and former U.S. officials. Trump says Gaza ceasefire is 'possible'
Ammon News - US President Donald Trump said on Monday that a ceasefire between Israel and Hamas in Gaza was "possible." Trump stated he had talked to Israeli officials and told them they may need to do things a different way. He made the comments to reporters at his Turnberry golf resort in Scotland where he was meeting UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer. Trump also expressed his frustration with Russian President Vladimir Putin. "I'm disappointed in President Putin," he said. He added that he would be reducing a 50-day deadline he gave Russia over its war with Ukraine. On July 14, Trump said he would impose tariffs and sanctions on Russia if Moscow would not make a ceasefire agreement within 50 days. "I'm going to reduce that 50 days that I gave him to a lesser number," he said. He did not give a new deadline.

Piers Morgan slams Stephen Colbert after firing: 'Just a Democrat Campaign Puppet'
ALBAWABA - Piers Morgan has something to say about the end of "The Late Show With Stephen Colbert." The TV personality told X on Sunday morning that most late-night shows are now just "hyper-partisan activist hacks" for the Left and that it's "no wonder" Stephen Colbert was fired. He also showed a front page of the New York Post that said, "No wonder he was fired, 'The Left Show With Stephen Colbert.'" Morgan wrote: This is so damning. Most of America's biggest late-night hosts have become nothing more than hyper-partisan activist hacks for the Democrats - a party that's rarely been more unpopular. No wonder Colbert got canned. More will follow. This is so damning. Also on Sunday, Jay Leno, the former host of "The Tonight Show," said that late-night hosts "cozy up" to one political party too often, which turns off some of their viewers. Qatar's Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad al-Thani and US President Donald Trump (by Brendan SMIALOWSKI / AFP) By all means, allow me to say that I enjoy political jokes. That's what happens, though, when people get too close to one side or the other. David Trulio, president and CEO of the Ronald Reagan Presidential Foundation and Institute, talked to Leno about this. "Why always aim for half of the audience?" Why not try to get the whole thing? I mean, I like showing people how things fit into the bigger picture. UPDATE: Just watched a drooling @60Minutes segment tonight about John Oliver who was proud of telling his viewers not to vote for Trump at last election. He told them to vote for Kamala Harris instead. That's not comedy, it's partisan political activism. — Piers Morgan (@piersmorgan) July 28, 2025 The 17th of July brought the news that the end of the "Late Show" would be for all of its versions, not just Stephen Colbert's. CBS said the move was a "financial decision," but some people have thought it was to make the FCC happy because CBS' parent company, Paramount, and Skydance are about to merge.

Netanyahu: There is no starvation in Gaza
Published July 28th, 2025 - 11:38 GMT ALBAWABA - Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu recently took to X (formerly known as Twitter) and shared a video denying the starvation in Gaza, despite the reports and videos circulating the internet stating otherwise. Netanyahu wrote in the video's caption, "There is no starvation in Gaza, no policy of starvation in Gaza, and I assure you that we have a commitment to achieve our war goals." He added, "We will continue to fight till we achieve the release of our hostages and the destruction of Hamas' military and governing capabilities. They shall be there no more." A social media user wrote on X under the video, "Our eyes tell us the opposite." Another Israeli social media user added, showcasing discontent with the current government, "You are a war criminal. STOP the war. Bring back all the hostages. Resign." The ongoing Israeli aggression on the Strip has resulted in the killing of at least 59,000 Palestinians and the injuring of more than 144,000. Additionally, the starvation in Gaza has left 147 people dead, of whom 88 are children. © 2000 - 2025 Al Bawaba (
