Nick Knowles marries fiancée 27-years his junior in romantic six-figure ceremony
Nick Knowles has married his fiancée 27-years his junior in a romantic six-figure ceremony today. The DIY SOS star has tied the knot to Katie Dadzie after more than four years together.
34-year-old Katie and 62-year-old Nick first met back in 2019 before making their relationship official two years later in 2021. The pair certainly haven't gone without when it's come to their special day as it was reported that the event has cost six-figures.
Nick looked suave in a light pink tuxedo jacket which he paired with black trousers and a matching black bow tie. He finished his look with a purple flower in his lapel.
Meanwhile, Katie stunned guests as she wore a non-traditional wedding gown. Instead of the usual all-white dress, she instead opted to go for white with blue flower details.
She had her hair tied up in a bun and went for full glam wedding makeup. She then accessorised her look with a sparkly statement necklace and a long veil.
Nick and Katie first crossed paths in 2019 when Katie's daughters became friends with Nick's youngest son Eddie, 9, at a play centre. Katie is a lingerie and sex toy business owner and also owns another company, Boobbix which sells 'lactation products for breastfeeding mums'.
Nick got down on one knee two years ago when the pair were in New Orleans together. Since then, Katie has celebrated her last time being single as she headed out on on a hen-do with her nearest and dearest soon before the big day.
Katie, who is also a proud mum-of-two, had to defend the significant age gap between her and Nick. However, she isn't the first younger woman that the star has been associated with.
In 2019, Nick was seen getting close to 26-year-old PR executive Emily Hallinan as they enjoyed a date with each other to a West End show. The year previous saw the TV star in a relationship with marketing executive Rebecca Kearns who is also reportedly over 30 years younger than him.
After he split up from Rebecca, Nick was photographed getting cosy with Emmerdale's Gemma Oaten following an evening at the TV Choice Awards in September 2016.
However, the photos led to their split, with Gemma talking about the situation, saying: "One Sunday morning we were lying in bed and all these texts came through about us being photographed together. In an instant he completely changed. It was all about him and how it was going to affect his family. It was really cruel as he said it didn't matter for me. I felt sick."
She added: "I said, 'Do you want to throw away what we have? We have done nothing wrong'. But he just dropped me like a ton of bricks. I thought it was a real relationship and he wasn't afraid to let others know."

Strictly star Nick Knowles, 62, marries Katie Dadzie, 34, in lavish ceremony
Congratulations are in order for Nick Knowles, who has tied the knot with his girlfriend, Katie Dadzie. The DIY SOS presenter, 62, wed his 34-year-old partner this weekend in a romantic ceremony in Essex. Nick, who also took part in Strictly Come Dancing last series, got hitched at Braxted Park Estate, which is somewhat of a celebrity wedding hotspot, given that it's also where Rylan Clark married Dan Neal in 2015. Their lavish celebrations are rumoured to have cost six figures, with photos from their special day showing a large number of guests. Snaps capture Nick and Katie's loved ones outside the venue, gathering for photos. Wake up to find news on your TV shows in your inbox every morning with Metro's TV Newsletter. Katie, who co-owns lingerie brand Boa Boa with her now-husband, opted to defy tradition with her dress. Straying from convention, she looked stunning in a strapless white gown adorned with blue flowers. She wore her brunette locks in a chic updo, accessorising simply with a silver necklace and, of course, her latest addition to the jewellery collection, a dazzling ring. Meanwhile, Nick also pushed against the typical groom attire, looking dapper in a blush pink tuxedo with black lapels, completing the look with a bowtie. A source previously shared that 'no expense had been spared' for Nick and Katie's nuptials. 'Nick and Katie's big day is taking place at Braxted Park, a stunning location in Essex,' they spilled to The Sun ahead of the lovebirds saying 'I do.' 'He's invited all of his famous pals, including his Strictly co-stars, so it's going to be a proper showbiz bash. 'Katie's dress is beautiful and is going to blow people away. Nick and Katie's guests will be treated to delicious food and amazing entertainment – really no expense has been spared.' It's currently unknown which of Nick's Strictly pals attended his wedding, but he featured on the BBC dance series alongside JB Gill, Tasha Ghouri, Wynne Evans, Wynne Evans, Jamie Borthwick, Sam Quek, and eventual winner Chris McCausland. Alas, Nick's own Strictly journey came to a sour end when he suffered a series of brutal injuries in training. He was forced to sit out of Movie Week with his pro partner, Luba Mushtuk, returning with a Paddington-themed routine the following Saturday, which ended up being his final hurrah. At the start of 2025, Nick revealed it was going to take eight months for him to recover fully after undergoing two surgeries: one to reattach his bicep and one to reconstruct his knee. By his side through the rehabilitation process, though, has been Katie. Following his Strictly stint, then-fiancée Katie warned that Nick was 'a shell of a man' due to being 'exhausted'. She started dating him in 2021, having met when their children became friends at a play centre. Nick has three sons and one daughter, whom he shares with two ex-wives, making Katie his third marriage. He has long been vocal about the backlash to his relationship with Katie, who is 28 years his junior. The TV personality previously told The Times that Katie 'occasionally wondered if it's all worth it' due to 'horrible' racist abuse she receives online. Nick said: 'It's really unpleasant and unfair,' with Katie also accused of being a 'golddigger' in her Instagram comments. 'Katie's a mum of two, she's super intelligent and capable, within just eight months her lingerie brand was stocked by Next. 'But you just get people being properly vile. So you understand when she goes, 'I don't know if I want to be around this'.' Nick was then asked if he tried to change her mind in those moments, to which he replied: 'No. I understand. But in the end we love each other very much.' Speaking in 2023 about the moment he popped the question, Nick revealed he actually used a Haribo ring. Nick shared on The One Show that Katie was travelling to see him in New Orleans and he realised it was 'the ideal time' to propose, but he 'didn't have a ring.' To view this video please enable JavaScript, and consider upgrading to a web browser that supports HTML5 video Therefore, he had to improvise with the gummy sweet, as it was 'all [he] had' on him. More Trending Ever the fixer, however, Nick still managed to make the moment memorable, taking a pair of scissors to the 'ring' to give it a jewel on top. He joked it was 'a dangerous move, as she does like Haribo', and the engagement ring could easily have been eaten instead. View More » Fortunately, Katie happily accepted his odd proposal and even kept the Haribo ring, storing it in a plastic bag at home before potentially getting it encased in perspex as a souvenir. Sophie Evans asks fans about Welsh language schools and overwhelmingly told one thing
Sophie Evans asks fans about Welsh language schools and overwhelmingly told one thing Best known for her roles in Wicked and the Wizard of Oz, Sophie Evans has been asking for advice about her children's future education Sophie Evans and Ellis Jenkins pictured with their first son Jack, in 2023 (Image: Sophie Evans/Instagram ) West End star Sophie Evans has opened up about a decision many Welsh parents have to think about - whether to send your children to a Welsh or English-speaking school. Just two months after welcoming her second child with husband Ellis Jenkins, Sophie took to TikTok to ask followers for advice. With their first son Jack now nearing school age, the couple must make a decision. "I can't believe the time has come to start thinking about schools for Jack," Sophie said. "But I am at a crossroads as to whether to send Jack to a Welsh language school or an English language school." The Tonypandy singer said she doesn't speak Welsh fluently, but has some familiarity with the language. She said: "I just think it's something that I really think would've helped with my career, if I could speak Welsh." Sophie went on to explain her husband's thoughts: "Ellis also doesn't speak Welsh and he is a very academically driven man, he did amazing in school and you know, he says 'I always remember my dad helping me with my homework, maths especially, so he's worried that if we send them to a Welsh school that he wouldn't be able to help them." The couple married in 2022 and have since welcomed two sons, Jack and Louie (Image: Instagram/Jonathan Davies ) She asked followers: "If you send your child to Welsh school, what are the negatives, in your opinion? If you send your child to Welsh school and have loads of positives let me know what they are as well, and vice versa with the English language school. Article continues below "I just don't know what to do. I'm like 75% Welsh and 25% English... but any ideas on what to do?" The comments section flooded with opinions, with the vast majority encouraging Sophie to send her children to a Welsh language school. For the latest TV and showbiz gossip sign up to our newsletter One follower wrote: "Welsh medium education all the way. Better standard of education and the boys will leave being fully bilingual with better job prospect if they stay in Wales. Plenty of help on offer to parents who don't speak the language from schools/teachers." This was echoed by another comment: "Welsh, being bilingual in any language improves job prospects as an adult, it provides them with all the same GCSEs as standard and speaking multiple languages from a young child has proven to improve cognitive ability such as improved memory and slower cognitive decline, and it makes it easier to learn more languages as an adult. "Not to mention the fact that it's a beautiful langue and everyone in Wales should have the pleasure of speaking it." One commenter who was in the same position said: "Product of a Welsh language school with non Welsh speaking parents, I'm fine! Great job, learnt three other languages and my English is great (freelance writer and journalism grad). "Homework they learn to explain to you, and you can request English versions of things. In a class of say 50 in my school, only five would have a Welsh speaking parent - it was completely the norm. It's never held me back!" Another added: "The benefits of being bilingual are incredible! I am first language Welsh and my parents didn't speak Welsh, I'm so thankful they gave me the opportunity. It's so important for our culture. Absolutely no negatives. Welsh better funding. English schools will be phased out across Wales in coming years." A minority shared concerns based on their experiences: "I know so many people who struggled with English when attending a Welsh school. They needed an English tutor to help them with basics like spelling/reading etc. Those I know who attended a Welsh school don't use it in their jobs (obvs different for everyone with different jobs) but also jobs like Welsh speaking applicants too." Another said: "I went to Welsh school, parents struggled to help with homework but I liked my time at school. I didn't keep up my Welsh though and now not that confident to speak it. So if they do go encourage them to keep it up as there are lots of jobs that want specific Welsh speaking, especially in civil service. I can't do maths terminology in English and also only know the lord's prayer in Welsh." Sophie, who rose to fame on BBC talent show, Over the Rainbow, married Welsh rugby International Ellis Jenkins back in 2022. The couple first met when they were both just 18 years old. Speaking to WalesOnline previously, Sophie shared that despite their deep connection, they've faced their fair share of challenges. "When we were about 23 or 24, we went separate ways for just over a year and then realised, 'You are the love of my life' and we are meant to be together. The rest is history," she recalled.
