Reality star and businesswoman Annie Mthembu married Durban businessman Kgolo 'Daguru' Mthembu in a lavish wedding at La Paris Estate in Franschhoek in the Western Cape in 2021.
The pair met in 2016 and have a pair of Irish twins together.
In her tell-all podcast with Lungelo KM, she revealed that her marriage ended due to infidelity.
She expressed that admitting that she was cheated on made her feel as though she was not good enough.
'No one likes being cheated on. It makes you question yourself a lot,' she said.
'Admitting I was being cheated on felt like saying I wasn't good enough. People told me things – some true, some not. When you don't know what to believe, you start losing your mind. I was highly embarrassed. I wasn't in a good place,' she continued.
Annie expressed that she tried to fix her marriage because she wanted to protect her family.
'I just wanted to protect all of us, even though I wasn't being protected. Everybody knew things I didn't. Still, I wanted to protect myself, my children, and our family. Even though I knew he was doing his thing, I still wanted us to be a family,' she said.
To the shock of many, Annie expressed that she and Kgolo have split for almost three years now. This means the pair split in December 2022.
She expressed that she still wants to forgive the father of her two children.
'I am still fighting the unforgiveness. They say time heals – I'm waiting for time to do its job,' she added.

15-year-old learner arrested after stabbing schoolmate in KZN
A 15-year-old learner was arrested after stabbing his schoolmate in KwaMhlanga, KwaZulu-Natal (KZN), on Thursday, 14 August 2025. Police received a call about a student who was stabbed and needed an ambulance. They immediately rushed to the school and found the victim lying face up with a stab wound on his left chest. The fight commenced after school between the two learners and proceeded to the street next to the school, where the suspect took out a knife and stabbed the victim in the chest. The suspect fled the scene and was traced to his residence, where he was arrested. The knife used to carry out the murder was found in the possession of the suspect's friend, who was taken in for further questioning. Emergency Medical Services (EMS) confirmed the death of the student. Lieutenant Colonel Jabu Ndubane confirmed to The South African that the cause of the fight is unknown yet. Acting Provincial Commissioner of the SAPS in Mpumalanga, Major General (Dr)Zeph Mkhwanazi, expressed concern about youth violence. He said, 'It is heartbreaking that such a tragic incident involved children. Learners should be focused on their studies, not violence. We urge parents, schools, and communities to work together to address the root cause of youth violence.' A man was arrested for allegedly kidnapping and assaulting a 37-year-old man. The suspect accused the victim of stealing his cell phone before assaulting and forcing him into the boot. Community members recalled seeing the 49-year-old suspect driving a white Mercedes-Benz sedan forcing someone into the boot of the car at Naledi Mall, Phuthaditjhaba. Investigations led the police to a house in Phuthaditjhaba, where they found the vehicle parked in the yard. The police then instructed the suspect to open the boot, where they discovered the victim. 'Police discovered the alleged victim with visible injuries, including an open wound to his right cheek and lower lip,' read the police statement. The victim was rushed to the hospital for further treatment. A case of kidnapping and assault with intent to cause grievous bodily harm is under investigation. Latest pictures of Siya the black springbok
Kingswood Golf Estate in George in October last year welcomed the birth of its first ever black springbok. Those who have enjoyed a round at the well-known Garden Route course will have encountered numerous springbok roaming the fairways – and rough – with around 45 reportedly on the estate. However, until the birth, the course had never had a 'one in a million' black springbok born. The estate's Community Manager, Dan de Wet, confirmed at the time that the new-born was a ram and he knew who the parents were. Springboks black in colour are extremely uncommon because of a unique genetic mutation. While the exact quantities are unclear, they are substantially rarer than their more common counterparts seen widely throughout South Africa. The public took to social media in their numbers to share their thoughts on the name that should be given to the ram, and after several days of deliberation, one was decided upon. The top 10 name suggestions included Charkie, Marmite, Rassie, Oreo, Kolisi, Midnight, Black Beauty, KingsBok and Allblack. The estate, however, opted to name him Siya, in honour of Springbok captain Siya Kolisi. This week, The South African website received pictures of 'Siya' as he continues to roam the fairways as he fast approaches his first birthday. Siya has a more brown coat than black these days.
