The 2024-25 Premier League season may have concluded just last month, but attention is already shifting to the forthcoming campaign. The fixtures for the new season - where Liverpool will be defending their title - have been unveiled, providing clubs with an idea of who they'll be up against and approximately when.
Naturally, a significant chunk of the schedule is at the mercy of TV programming, meaning some matches will be moved around. However, the timings for the first matchweek have been confirmed, featuring some intriguing clashes.
Defending champions Liverpool will inaugurate the new season by hosting Bournemouth in Friday Night Football on 15 August. Manchester City's trip to Wolves is the highlight of Saturday's games, while Arsenal's opening match sees them travel to Manchester United.
Indeed, Arsenal face a daunting start, also playing Liverpool and City within their first five matches. As it stands, there are no Boxing Day fixtures, although this could alter once the TV fixtures are revealed.
The final day will fall on 24 May, with all 10 matches that day commencing at 4pm as the title race, European qualification and relegation battles reach their climax. Mirror Football has listed all 38 gameweeks below for you to peruse the schedules of all 20 teams, reports the Mirror.

Rio Ferdinand claims £64m striker is 'waiting' for Man Utd transfer offer
Rio Ferdinand believes Victor Osimhen could be 'waiting' for a call from Manchester United after turning down a lucrative transfer move to the Saudi Pro League. United wrapped up their first piece of summer transfer business as they completed a £62.5million deal with Wolves for Matheus Cunha last month. Bryan Mbeumo has been been heavily linked in recent days on the back of an outstanding season with Brentford and is said to be eager to push through a switch to Old Trafford, despite strong interest from Tottenham. Signing an out-and-out centre-forward remains an absolute priority on the back of an immensely disappointing campaign for both Joshua Zirkzee and Rasmus Hojlund, who managed a combined total of just seven goals in the Premier League last term. While Viktor Gyokeres is understood to be high up on United's wishlist, it's believed the Sporting and Sweden sensation is intent on playing Champions League football and therefore favours a move to Arsenal. Wake up to find news on your club in your inbox every morning with Metro's Football Newsletter. Sign up to our newsletter and then select your team in the link so we can send you football news tailored to you. The Red Devils were also beaten the signing of Liam Delap earlier this summer, with Chelsea landing the young Ipswich striker for a fee of just £30m. Assessing the club's early transfer business on Rio Ferdinand Presents, the legendary ex-United and England defender said: 'I'm happy with Cunha, he's one of the ones I mentioned on my list. I hope it goes well for him. 'The problem is that I've been happy many times in transfer windows and it's gone wrong. 'I'm hoping he's not going to be added to that list. 'If they get Mbeumo, I'd be very happy.' Ferdinand is confident Mbeumo 'wants to come' to United and feels the forward's Premier League experience will stand him in good stead at the Theatre of Dreams. Asked why Brentford star is being spoken about as a done deal, Ferdinand replied: 'Because he wants to come. Mbeumo wants to come, I know it. 'His stats over the last three seasons in the Premier League are up there, by the way. Goals and assists, goal chances, ridiculous. 'Again, another proven Premier League player. This is what I like, played in the Premier League. There ain't no adjustment business. 'The only thing is there will be adjustment because of the size of the club. 'They don't have to do that when they go to Arsenal! There ain't that pressure, the badge ain't as heavy! It's heavy, but it's not as heavy!' Asked who else he would like to see join United this summer, Ferdinand replied: 'No.9, they already know who I want. The comments know, the people know who I want, who I would go and get: Osimhen! 'It looks like he's turned down Al-Hilal… he must be waiting for Manchester United. 'I don't know if Manchester United are going to come. That's the problem.' Osimhen is expected to move on from Napoli this summer having spent last season on loan at Galatasaray, where he scored 37 goals in all competitions to help the club to a domestic double. Al-Hilal had reportedly reached an agreement wit Napoli to sign Osimhen, only for the prolific Nigeria international to turn down the move. It's understood Osimhen – who has a £64m release clause with Napoli – is determined to continue playing in one of Europe's top leagues. Osimhen has just one year remaining on his current contract in Naples. For more stories like this, check our sport page. Follow Metro Sport for the latest news on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram. Burnley make statement of intent with move to hire Liverpool WSL title winner Beard
Burnley are in advanced talks with the former Liverpool manager Matt Beard about their women's team's head coach role, the Guardian can reveal. It is understood the club are close to a deal with the 47-year-old in what would be a big statement of intent from the third-tier club, who recently announced they will become fully professional next season. Beard, formerly also the manager of Chelsea, Boston Breakers and West Ham, oversaw a fourth-placed finish in the Women's Super League with Liverpool 13 months ago and has extensive experience at the top of the women's game. He guided Liverpool to back-to-back WSL titles in 2013 and 2014, during the first of his two spells there. He also led Chelsea to the FA Cup final in 2012 and West Ham to the 2019 final. In his second spell at Liverpool, Beard oversaw promotion to the WSL in 2022 before leaving on 27 February with the team seventh. Burnley finished fourth in the northern region of the third tier last term, 12 points behind the champions, Nottingham Forest. They have ambitions for promotion and last month the chair, Alan Pace, said: 'It's important that we now provide the resources required to go full-time and give those involved the opportunity to progress to the next level. We see both the men's and women's teams as being important now and forever, and this move aims to accelerate the women further along their development timeline.' The club have been searching for a permanent head coach since mutually agreeing to part ways with Rebecca Sawiuk in March, and the first-team coach Louise Roberts was placed in interim charge. Last season some players were on full-time terms and others combined training with education or day jobs, but they are to receive a significant increase to their operating budget. Former Champions League winners announce first ever renovation of 50,033-seater stadium as roof is completely replaced

A club statement explained the stadium infrastructure had suffered from natural wear and tear, while the advancement of technology in the 22 years since its opening also played a part in the decision. The main areas of improvement would focus on the infrastructure, technology and services of the venue. It said: "One of the most beautiful stadiums in the world of football must have spaces and equipment at the level required, the blue and white members and fans will be able to enjoy more and better experiences from next season. The plan is to carry out the works during pre-season of the 2025/26 and 2026/27 campaigns in order to minimise the impact on the sporting season. Long term, this update will make the ground ready to host the World Cup when the famous tournament visits Portugal in 2030. Works have already been ongoing for a few weeks, with club boxes being modernised along with the fan common areas like the toilets and bars. BEST ONLINE CASINOS - TOP SITES IN THE UK Next summer will see the club tackle the creation of new hospitality areas in an effort to "completely transform the hospitality and VIP services" on offer at the 50,033-capacity stadium. Liverpool owners plot takeover of LaLiga club after they part-destroy iconic stadium ahead of stunning rebuild The coming changes will also see the stadium modernised with all ticketing transactions to be done without having to go to a physical store, while FC Porto will also be launching its own platform alongside this. All tickets, ranging from season ticket renewals and sales back to the club, will also be able to be carried out digitally. This will be implemented as early as next month. Porto are the second most successful club in Portuguese football with 30 league titles, only behind Benfica's tally of 38. Their last title arrived in 2022, before Gonçalo Ramos inspired Benfica to the 2023 title and Ruben Amorim built his Sporting Lisbon squad into a title-winning force over the last two seasons. Porto are also two-time Champions of Europe, having won the Champions League in 1987 and 2004 - the latter of which sparked the career of a certain Jose Mourinho into life. They missed out on Champions League football last season, and only made it to the Europa League league knockout phase as they ended the season without major silverware for the first time since 2021. However, they did still win the Portuguese Supertaça, or Super Cup, after coming from 3-0 down to beat Sporting Lisbon.
