The wild step Cameron Heyward would take to prevent Steelers from trading T.J. Watt
The Steelers defensive end said Wednesday, in a tongue-in-cheek way, that if he caught wind that a trade was going to occur that he would go up to the GM and tell him, 'That's not happening.'
'If there's even a trade that gets up there, I don't think it helps our team to trade a guy like that,' Heyward said during an appearance on the 'Rich Eisen Show.'

Heyward appeared on Wednesday's show with WWE wrestler Seth Rollins, who was hosting alongside Chris Brockman.
The Steelers' defensive end broke into laughter when Rollins followed up by asking if Heyward had the power to do that.
'No, no, I don't have that power,' he replied. 'I'd be like, guys, we have to have a talk. I don't know if it's even going to work, but I'm gonna throw my hat in the ring and say this cannot happen.'
Talks have continued to drag on over a contract extension for Watt, though it's expected he will end up getting a deal that will surpass an annual average value of $40 million.

The Steelers also reportedly did their due diligence in inquiring about Watt's trade value.
'Man, that's my brother,' Heyward added. 'I want [Watt] to get paid what he deserves. That dude is one of the most fierce and best players in our league. And he's respected throughout the league. I've had the best time being able to play with him, and I hope this year is not the last time we play together, because that dude, that's my running mate, and we create a lot of havoc together. And I just want to see that guy continue to be a Pittsburgh Steeler, and be a one-helmet guy.'
The Steelers are set to kick off training camp on July 24, and the picture should start to become clearer over what will happen with Watt.

A fourth member of the Ring of Honor will be inducted this upcoming season for the Houston Texans and the other three are making sure to congratulate her. Texans Co-Founder and Senior Chair Janice S. McNair will be the newest member inducted into the team's Ring of Honor, joining late owner and husband Bob McNair, Hall of Fame wide receiver Andre Johnson and three-time Defensive Player of the Year J.J. "As a co-founder of the team and someone who has given so much to the organization and the city, this was an east decision," Cal McNair said. Watt, who was the latest to be inducted, echoed a similar sentiment while welcoming her into the highest honor of Texans' history. 'It's only right that we'll be able to look up and see your name right there next to Bob," Watt said. "You guys helped bring professional football back to Houston and you are truly one of the kindest, sweetest souls that I have ever known." Johnson, the first Texans player in the Ring of Honor and first Hall of Fame recipient in franchise history, thanks Janice for helping him build a career that led him to Canton, Ohio and football immortality. "I'm truly honored to be up there next to you guys and I'd like to thank you for drafting me," Johnson said. Many don't believe in their chances to make that happen, but Pittsburgh is ready to prove its doubters wrong Speaking of that mentality, Metcalf has spoken out and put the NFL on notice. While chatting with Jori Epstein of Yahoo Sports, Metcalf sent a very bold warning to the rest of the league. "I think we're going to shock a lot of people," Metcalf said. "I know there are questions about, 'Can we figure it all out?' I mean, we're at a destination [for training camp], so we have no choice but to learn each other, figure each other out. We have no choice but to get better on offense versus defense every day." He'll be asked to take that production up a notch as Rodgers' No. 1 target with Calvin Austin III, Robert Woods, and Roman Wilson behind him on the depth chart. Giving up the value and contract that the Steelers opted to part with and hand out to get Metcalf, he's expected to perform at a superstar level week in and week out. He has now sent out a very bold message to the rest of the NFL. Metcalf simply needs to back up his warning on the field each and every game.
