Crystal Palace vs Man City: FA Cup final prediction, kick-off time, team news, TV, live stream, h2h, odds today
Crystal Palace and Manchester City clash in the FA Cup final at Wembley today.
Saturday's showpiece pits seven-time winners appearing in their third consecutive final against a team hoping to seal a first-ever major trophy.
City defeated Nottingham Forest 2-0 in their semi-final tie at the home of English football last month, while Palace dispatched Aston Villa 3-0 to reach their first final since 2016.
On that day, the Eagles, then managed by Alan Pardew, were downed by 2-1 by City's rivals Manchester United in extra time.
Saturday's final will be Man City's final chance for major silverware this term, with Pep Guardiola's side only winning the Community Shield at the start of the campaign.
City are in a fierce battle for Champions League qualification in the Premier League, having been usurped by newly-crowned champions Liverpool.
City have now dropped to sixth in the table after respective wins for Chelsea and Aston Villa on Friday night, but with a game in hand in their fight for a top-five finish.
Palace, meanwhile, sit in the familiar position of 12th, but they are unbeaten in their last five games since their 5-0 thrashing by Newcastle last month.
They earned a 2-2 draw at the Emirates Stadium against Arsenal, before holding Champions League-chasing Nottingham Forest to a 1-1 draw at Selhurst Park.
In their most recent outing, they dealt a 20th league defeat of the season to Ange Postecoglou as they beat Tottenham 2-0 in north London.
Crystal Palace vs Manchester City is scheduled for a 4:30pm BST kick-off time today on Saturday May 17, 2025.
As ever, the FA Cup final will take place at Wembley Stadium in London.
TV channel: In the UK, the final will be televised live and free-to-air on both BBC One and ITV1, with coverage starting at 3pm on ITV1 and 3:25pm on BBC One.
Live stream: You can also stream the game live online via the BBC iPlayer, BBC Sport website and ITVX.
Live blog: You can follow all the action on matchday via Standard Sport's live blog, with expert analysis from Dom Smith at Wembley.
Free highlights: The BBC Sport app and YouTube channel will show highlights after the game, with a Match of the Day FA Cup final special coming on BBC One at 12:25am on Sunday morning. There is a re-run at 8:25am.
For City, Guardiola has a full squad to pick from bar four.
Of that quartet, John Stones, Oscar Bobb and Nathan Ake are out for the season with thigh and ankle injuries respectively.
However, Ballon d'Or winner Rodri has been reintegrated back into team training following the anterior cruciate ligament injury that he sustained against Arsenal last year.
Guardiola said at the start of the month that as soon as the doctors approved the Spaniard to play, then he would. Watch this space.
As for Palace, Adam Wharton has recovered from an ankle ligament issue which forced him out of the Eagles' win at Spurs in a huge boost.
Long-term absentees Chadi Riad and Cheick Doucoure are still sidelined.
In recent years, Palace have proved a thorn in City's side, beating them at the Etihad Stadium twice.
That said, they have only defeated them once in London in that time - a 2-1 win at Selhurst Park in April 2015, where Glenn Murray and Puncheon were on the scoresheet.
Glasner's side made light work of a good Villa team in the semi-finals, and dismantled Tottenham with relative ease last week.
However, City have plentiful experience in cup finals, and that will count for a lot here.
Man City to win, 3-1.
Man City wins: 39
Crystal Palace wins: 17
Draws: 17
Crystal Palace to win: 3/1
Man City to win: 17/20
The draw: 11/4

Real Madrid Ace Mbappe Talks PSG Feelings And Snubs Lamine Yamal
Real Madrid ace Kylian Mbappe spoke about how he felt seeing his former club Paris Saint-Germain winning the Champions League, amid snubbing FC Barcelona rival Lamine Yamal as a Ballon d'Or favourite. Mbappe of course left PSG on a free transfer last summer to become a Galactico at the Bernabeu. Failing to deliver a maiden UCL to the Parc des Princes after seven years in the French capital, he clinched the Golden Boot as Europe's top marksman in 2024/2025 but was made to watch on as PSG finally did the job on the continent without him and Los Blancos finished the term without major silverware. On international duty this weekend with France, who must play a third place playoff against Germany in the Nations League after losing a semifinal to Spain, Mbappe claimed that he was unaffected by Luis Enrique's men becoming kings of Europe at their first attempt without him and does not view Madrid's campaign as a failure. 'We have won two titles, that is not a failure. It's true that we lost important games, but it was an enriching year. PSG have won the Champions League without me and that doesn't affect me. It's a good thing,' Mbappe stated. 'I was happy, they went through so many hardships, which I also knew. I've gone through all those stages of PSG except for the victory. But they are the best team in Europe. I don't remember seeing a 5-0 win in a final. They deserve it 100%, they have become the team that everyone wants to beat. 'I don't think I've left too soon, my story was over, it had to end. I don't feel any bitterness, I had reached the end of a road. I tried everything. But fate wanted them to win without me,' he added. With Spain's Nations League final foe set to be Portugal, Cristiano Ronaldo also spoke about Lamine Yamal, not putting too much pressure on the youngster, and his chances of winning the Ballon d'Or. For Mbappe, though, who is once more almost certain not to get his hand on the sport's highest individual prize, it is his national team and former club teammate Ousmane Dembele that should get the nod. "I don't think it needs to be explained. There is talk of Lamine Yamal and Dembele, I vote for Dembele. It's very clear," said the Real Madrid player. Though as said he is not considered a favourite in what is deemed to be a two-horse race, Mbappe can improve his chances of being a dark horse in the Ballon d'Or race by helping Real Madrid win the inaugural version of the newly-reimagined Club World Cup.

Tottenham explain why Ange Postecoglou was sacked despite ‘one of club's greatest moments'
Tottenham Hotspur have explained the club's decision to fire Ange Postecoglou despite the coach creating 'one of the greatest moments' in the club's history. Last month, Postecoglou guided Spurs to the Europa League trophy – their first silverware in 17 years – but also their worst-ever Premier League finish, as Tottenham ended up 17th. Advertisement The north London side lost 22 out of 38 league games amid that campaign, which also saw them exit the FA Cup to Aston Villa in January and suffer a thrashing by Liverpool in the Carabao Cup semi-finals four days earlier. Postecoglou, who joined Tottenham from Celtic in 2023, vowed: 'I always win things in my second year.' And the 59-year-old Australian did, but his stint at Tottenham has come to an end at the culmination of that second year, regardless. 'Following a review of performances and after significant reflection, the Club can announce that Ange Postecoglou has been relieved of his duties,' Tottenham said in a statement on Friday (6 June). 'Ange joined us from Celtic in the summer of 2023 and oversaw a period of change on the pitch, returning us to the attacking brand of football that has traditionally been associated with the Club, while writing a new chapter in our history by leading us to Uefa Europa League glory in Bilbao last month – an achievement that will live with us all forever. Ange Postecoglou (centre) celebrating at Tottenham's Europa League winners parade (PA Wire) 'We are extremely grateful to Ange for his commitment and contribution during his two years at the Club. Ange will always be remembered as only the third manager in our history to deliver a European trophy, alongside legendary figures Bill Nicholson and Keith Burkinshaw. Advertisement 'However, the Board has unanimously concluded that it is in the best interests of the Club for a change to take place. Following a positive start in the 2023/24 Premier League (PL) season, we recorded 78 points from the last 66 PL games. This culminated in our worst-ever PL finish last season. 'At times there were extenuating circumstances – injuries and then a decision to prioritise our European campaign. Whilst winning the Europa League this season ranks as one of the Club's greatest moments, we cannot base our decision on emotions aligned to this triumph. 'It is crucial that we are able to compete on multiple fronts and believe a change of approach will give us the strongest chance for the coming season and beyond. This has been one of the toughest decisions we have had to make and is not a decision that we have taken lightly, nor one we have rushed to conclude. Postecoglou hugs Tottenham chairman Daniel Levy (PA Wire) 'We have made what we believe is the right decision to give us the best chance of success going forward, not the easy decision. We have a talented, young squad and Ange has given us a great platform to build upon. We should like to express our gratitude to him. We wish him well for the future – he will always be welcome back at our home. 'News on the appointment of a new Head Coach will be announced in due course,' the statement concluded, and The Independent understands that Brentford manager Thomas Frank is the frontrunner to take over from Postecoglou.
